Interesting post about Ramming tests in Training room...
rnat replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
If I may ask, has there been an official response from WG regarding this yet ? I remember vaguely hearing something but couldn't find anything at a cursory glance. -
Take AA-mod any day of the week and twice on sunday. You already have more range on those guns than you should ever use in the first place. And if you want to increase your AA take ManualAA and a fighter plane. AFT ist the most rubbish AA-skill there currently is. It's only good for secondary and gunboat-dd builds.

Will be there soon a non premium germany CV's?
rnat replied to BegliumsGaming's question in Q&A Section
Makes sense since both nations fielded about the same number of carriers during the war. -
1) The captain exp remains on the captains (or the elite exp pool if you ran 19pt-captains). How is that in any way unclear ? (also talk about poor formatting) How can you draw a conclusion directly contradicting the statement you are quoting without giving any hint as to weather you checked on the starting ships or drawing information from other sources ? (Pls refer to T0byJugs post to learn what "starting ships" refers to if that's necessary)

There might be different overmatch-rules as well. -
Let me rephrase: I'm too rubbish to consider messing with them unless they misplay severely or i have no other choice. Hooray for knowing the basics. ^^
-
Sounds like the issue is my lack of skill then. I can't do that without incurring (prolly significant) losses against high-AA smokes (with a very questionable hit-rate as well). Thx for making that clear :)
-
Thx, frankly I didn't notice that the Worchester would be exposed with fighters that close. (Too close for anything but spotting but with some luck one could keep her spotted) That's the original question tho. How would you do that systematically ? I mean other than killing all their spotting and heavy fire-support the second they move away from the AA-blob.
-
Now that intrigues me. Massively in fact. How would you strike into that, given that the group is a) in smoke and b) close enough to one of their allies to have aerial spotting ? (yes i know that won't always be the case but i'm talking worst-case competent enemies here) Tbh the only thing i could think of is play around them till i get a chance to snipe their escorts and then blind drop with torps, which takes a lot of time for a pleb like me

Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.

2 in 1 this time: The sad: This screenshot. The funny: We won that game pretty decisively in the end. -
If our last 2 bbs had just sailed away from the enemy DD i would have had time to cap their remaining caps (game ended before i completed my 2nd one) and kill them. edit: I think i'm one step closer to grasping the nature of the dmg-race. WP to the enemy Haku.

The fun part is the most important one :) If you have a game (of a few) that you think is a good illustration you can also put up a replay or stream-recording for us to take a look at. Sure, hindsight is 20/20, but starting from an actual game might be helpful since otherwise we're restricted to guesswork and pretty general advice.

Depends on weather you ate enough dmg to actually sink at the right time. But sure, it does happen (from yesterday, note the Midway) There have been instances of a team winning with all members being shown as sunk, so it differs depending on the exact situation.

Why not help people instead of being salty ?

Plagiarism anyone ? ^^ Also if the pattern holds (hidden stats, no profile pic w. only 2 low-effort posts in the newbie-section within a short time-span) his post will be edited to feature some shady links in the near future. edit: Called it. -
This sometimes happens when someone scores a kill just when the ends. The kill is still credited but the ship counts as still alive (prolly due to the order in which those things are processed or it's deliberate)

Last second killsteal (literally) on the now undead CV ^^ (Pls don't judge me skills, i'm still learning) Don't think he's gotten dumber. We just never had an opportunity to fully appreciate his genius. Speaking of the Robot Ninja Cobra-devil: Neither has he learned that P2W isn't something one should want as a player. ^^ edit: fixed -

If an ally obviously doesn't care (might hit me, might not hit me) and the match isn't on the line sometimes i deliberately steer to eat one of them for sure. Because why should i get stressed when i can troll back even more ? -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
rnat replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Met @Panocek in his Haku. He penetrated me deep and good and i'm still not sure if i liked it. But sadly for him half his team was too busy trying to murder me and got rolled over by ours. -
I'd bet a pound to a penny that with equally skilled players the Burger wins the majority of 1-1 engagements just on the higher HE-power and reload-booster.
-
Premium. Notice the golden symbol. A proposed tech-tree ship would have a silver one.

This screen just after I held B for over 3 minutes against ... well not like the enemy had any other targets -.- Special shout out to my Shima and Vladivostok from another match just now for both managing to get torped by a Tirpitz in the open within a minute of each other. While i couldn't hit a full broadside Soyuz at 11km for more than 6k at a time. -
Have you ever eaten a lucky HE-salvo from a Monti or Burger/Alsace in a cruiser (let alone a DD) ? Not enjoyable, trust me. (We're talking potentially >20k dmg) Let them pop a reload-booster and you're having all kinds of fun. And if they get broadside you're toast regardless of caliber.

Spare a though on us poor f2p CV-potatoes. We wanna effortlessly murder helpless loli-boats as well. T_T (and everything else too) -
How to use a cv when the enemy cv.s are better
rnat replied to SEN_SEN_Channel_Portugue's topic in General Discussion
The only way I can see a CV going this close being a good idea (unless you're a GZ and can't fly) is to get rid of the enemy CVs CAP when you absolutely have to sink him. It's a move that effectively strips off a massive portion of both CVs AA-capabilities permanently and leaves them very vulnerable (let alone being shot up by the rest of both teams) -
Ofc he does ok. Creed-guy stomps inferior peasants like us But look again. He only takes 3 salvos of BB-AP the entire match, with 2 of them he's lucky that they aim for his very angled belt, the other one instantly chunks him for 17k and that's from a FDG when he was very angled. I mean sure it was at close range, but if that had been a good player in a high tier USN or IJN BB he'd prolly been toast in 1-2 salvos. He even talks about the bad armor of the DM for quite a bit during the commentary. ^^
