Predrop (or squad shortening) refers to dropping a few payloads before engaging your target, so you don't have many more planes in the air than you need for the drops you're gonna get in on target (and don't loose the rest on the way in/out) A slingshot-drop means dropping with your DBs in such a way that during the immunity time (while the bombs fall) the rest of the planes cover almost the full distance to your target so that (ideally) you can do the next drop instantly without loosing planes until you've already started the attack-phase.

Indeed, also depends on how tight your margin regarding target AA v hp was when you went in. My point was mostly that "with 0 losses" was objectively wrong in most cases (even medium AA will prolly pick off 1 on the way out)

Is there a way to "better" report agressive players?
rnat replied to Charles__Vane__'s topic in Newcomers' Section
1) Naming and shaming (prolly) Pls censor the nick of the offender or the mods might take offense. 2) It's not and you should send a ticket with that replay (ideally with time-stamps when he goes off the rails) to WG -
Erm no ? If there's for example a Grozo or Mino you didn't expect or account for chances are you'll loose a bunch on the way out as well.

Did you even bother fully reading though the post you quoted ? He looked at the stats to get an idea of what OPs problem could be and cited them to illustrate what he (and others) considered to be the problem. If you don't want to be judged on your game play alone (cuz that's what the stats summarize) that's your decision. I'd be more sympathetic to your point if it had been in any way malicious, but it doesn't seem to me that anyone here but you is bothered by this. In the end it's just a game, why even get defensive when you're not that good at it yet ? Everyone started somewhere.

Regarding Scenario battles/Operations: Most T6 operations grant a 10-point captain of a specific nation (KM, USN, VMF, IJN) upon first completion with 4 stars, which in total should grant you at least a basic complement of captains.

6 Also math-parsers are pretty good nowadays so that test is rubbish.

What ship will you sail in the upcoming T9 Rank?
rnat replied to Yedwy's topic in General Discussion
Prolly a mix, depending on the meta. With the fire-power nerf to the Jutland she's likely out of my running though. Kita, Black, Alaska, Kron, Buffalo, St Louis, Missouri, Musashi -
Unless they can automate the process to a degree where manually reporting would be unnecessary in the first place that's prolly 2-5 minutes of manual review per report. Multiply by the number of arsehats and the reports they are allowed to use (which according to you should be relatively substantial) till they are blocked and add in the occasional frustrated player who's not a regular offender or simply miss-clicks ect. You see where I'm going with this ?
-
You DO know how toxic things can get ? Pretty sure the system would just be swamped with useless reports.

I’m thinking about buying my first premium ship
rnat replied to totolescargo's topic in Newcomers' Section
No. Just no. OP has less than 300 battles so it's way too early for him to consistently get into high-tier MM. Although the standard of play is pretty abysmal on any tier most ppl at T8-10 are at least vaguely familiar with the meta, ships and their capabilities, which would make it very rough for him. Stick to the low to mid tiers until you feel rdy to advance and you'll do just fine and have more fun as well. :) -
*sarcasm on* Savage battles e-sports ready confirmed

Another thing that should have told you you're mistaken is that that "5-player division" has killed 8 out of the 7 other ships in the match. -
Upcoming Monarch citadel nerf

It makes her a significantly less forgiving brawler tho. She used to be better at it than the Curry ('cept v. Yamatos and getting close under HE-spam) due to the better turret angles, but now she can get deleted by the return-shot if she doesn't pull it off in the 1st salvo or can't get a perfect approach. -sincerely someone who's too retarded to play her safely ^^ -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
rnat replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Met @Takru earlier in an event battle. Sadly didn't notice that until after the match. -
what's a good and solid tech tree line to go for?
rnat replied to Olmlet's topic in Newcomers' Section
Very much depends on your preferences. The MN CAs are pretty consistent and rather fun with their speed and burst-dmg. US CAs (especially the high tier ones) are absolutely brilliant and their SHS are murderous, German or VMF BBs if you are a fan of very tanky brawling BBs, ect. -
The amount of free skill points is irrelevant. The cost of retraining the captain only depends on the total amount of skill points the captain has (i.e. his level) If your captain isn't specialized for the (non-premium) ship he's on all his skills will either be disabled or operate at a 50% penalty, depending on the skill.

No need to be so reserved. As long as it's an honest question you didn't find an answer for there's prolly no one here that will crap-talk you. Again disclaimer we might not have the answer either. The official discord i posted above would be the address for those.

Interesting post about Ramming tests in Training room...
rnat replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I was actually asking anyone around if there was a post i have missed. But thx :) -
No clue. Maybe someone here knows. Otherwise I'd suggest you go to the relevant discord server or contact the wows-console team on FB or twitter if you can't find out in the game directly.
-
Thing is this forum is for the PC-master-race (i.e. basement dwelling nerd) version of the game, which differs from the console one in several aspects. So feel free to ask, but there's a chance we won't have the answer to your problem.

Iirc the console-forum never really took off, so they scrapped it and focused on discord. https://discordapp.com/invite/wowslegends
