Since I found that sort of threads interesting (I love to read comments on each ships), I thought we could we start another one. Note that a CV don't see fires on ships and he usually barely have time to watch witch ship is loosing health from flooding and fires quickly or not. Very good CV players (which I'm not) sure have eyes everywhere but usually people just scramble as fast as they can to avoid losing planes stupidly, protect the fleet, position your planes and strike (manually) etc. You often feel the CV player is not doing its job but for playing it from times to times, it's very hard, especially since people don't play them a lot. As for Kill stealing, I don't think that really exist in this game, unless someone shoot at a ship that is obviously dying by himself in the next few seconds instead of a better target.

I changed the rule when I unearthed that post a few months ago since there was way not enough voters for those. I changed it to : You have to have played them (no reference to patch) or played against (so if you play tier 8, 9, 10).

You need to give a -3 to a ship. That's the only way to eliminate ships. Give it to the Gearing if you don't like her, even if it was before patch.

Yep, but not great concealment and not able to counter enemy smokes with torps. She's not the Benson who has excellent concealment and whose 9,2 torps are enough. I tried both Fubuki and Farragut, and so far it's the first all the way. But we will see. If there is a lot of airplanes, things can change.

I tried the Fubuki on PTS in ranked. Quite convincing : I also tried the Faragut. It's nice but you don't have so much the occasion to shoot at other DDs and you can't torp smokes as well with her.

About cap, I am training the captain going for the Fletcher and I'm about to reach 10 so 7.3 detection is not easy .... But still the Mahan was OK with the same captain. I'm learning slowly how to play her, and you're right, she is much like the Farragut.

I bought it since I needed a American premium and I play only American DDs. I am quite disappointed in her so far. Very hard to stay alive long, very hard to do consistant damage. The role of a DD is not sit in own smoke but smoke the rest of the army so staying alive is very hard. I'm indeed frequently finishing first because the few damage I do is on DDs but that's still not really satisfying. I much much prefer the Mahan because she has those awesome torps.
