What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Wow Blogis congratulations !!! Now that is a fantastic achievement ! You win the whole thread !
  4. How do you get the result screen from your replay ? I've seen that Flamu got them after games when he comment his videos . How he does that ? When I watch one it always close before the result screen. I have uploaded a replay : https://replayswows.com/replay/16845#stats but the result screen you get is only the first page, not the XP neither the detail damage.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

My third solo warrior in 5000 games and in Izumo, probably the most epic one. Replay: https://replayswows.com/replay/16845#stats

Tu m'as convaincu, je vais (essayer de) dire désormais La France et La Normandie. Après tout je dis déjà La Galissonière.

    Noob question about cruisers

Funnily I have my best Personal rating and best survability of all T6+ cruisers on the Hipper (~75%). I have quite lower survability on the Nurmberg but still 45k+ damage on her. So she's probably more fragile but still she's a very good damage dealer thanks to her excellent range / reload. Königsberg is also very good . Just stay sure to be at distance, angled or even better hidden while shooting.

    Noob question about cruisers

I would definitely advise you the German cruisers, that's probably the most forgiving one. They have excellent range allowing you to stay relatively safe. They all can be citadeled but if you angle well you can bounce a lot of shells, especially from Tier 8 to Tier 10 . They have hydro witch give you ability to be safe against torpedos and excellent AA to kill planes (at higher tiers). Others: Japan : Mogami is horrible for beginners and the others are not easy because of shorter ranges USA: Some are easier (Cleveland) but some are very difficult to play (New Orleans) because very very fragile UK: Hard because you rely on smoke and that's not easy to use adequately Russian: Nice but more squishy than German ones French: At tier 7+, you have to know how to aim and how to dodge to make them work. So not the easier to use. At all tiers, using our speed to avoid shells is key and that need some experience. German ones are all playable consistently, they all can bounce and are agile enough to dodge at long range. Always use all rudershift boost modules though.

    the "carry harder!" thread

My record damage in Atago, my record xp in defeat, a bit disappointed but that Yamato with Yamamoto captain with a Kraken was too much for my BBs and I was busy with the Missouri. He definitly deserve the win.

Revert game to its three days ago status

Why do you play Co-op so much ? You should try to play exclusively Random (PvP) battles. Co-op games don't teach you how to play. At the contrary, it gives you bad habits because the bots don't play at all like humans, they just rush you mindlessly and shoot, starting with the DDs. And Co-op battles will make you lose silver (Tiers 7+).
  11. Once in a game, we were 4 in the enemy base, capturing it and one of us left the base. We were angry with him since it was a trade base race but he said that it doesn't change anything because 3 ships (not uncapped) is the maximum that count to capture a cap. Is that true ?
  12. ulysses_nemo

How many ships maximum can cap a point in the same time

Thanks guys ! I understand now.

    the "carry harder!" thread

Trying to get my daily win in Zao ....
  14. Definitely Yueyang to blame first. he has absolutely no business where he is. He should be at the very least screening the Conq and Roma for incoming torps.

    New US Cruiser line :)

First thing I did when I heard there will be a new line is to start the grind. If you have Clev to Balti when the new line is released with captain on them you will have: - Cleveland T8 (and premium camo on her if you had it on the T6 Clev) with a port slot - Pensa T6 (fully upgraded) - NO T7 (fully upgraded)(wonder what happens with the special camo I got on her) - Balti T8 (fully upgraded) - Buffalo T9 with upgrades and XP you had on the Balti before, a port slot and a new T9 captain I might have been wrong on the details (captains etc.), someone might correct me here. I now have the NO with 60kxp and I will have the Balti in time just fine. Too bad the Buffalo don't go to T10 in replacement of DM it would have been even better for the premium camos.
  16. Yeah but if only it was only the Bismark, but look at Nagato, Lion, Missouri .... And the Bismark is rank 12 ...
  17. I the start I said "I go to C", then someone said C and B then, then it was all to the corner of C .... After I capped C I went for B (In Gadjah Mada) but they didn't even manage to defend C against an Akatsuki .... After I died against Z23, NO, Missouri taking the 2 first with me ..... And the results ... tada .... Well played my friend, well played ....
  18. Just met @lup3s and he won the SCRUB war 1 against 3. I wasn't optimist seeing a 3-SCRUB div against us but we managed.

    New US Cruiser line :)

Ahh, you're right, my bad. So I don't need to rush the DM, getting the Balti will give me all the duplicate possible. But no duplicate camo for T10, a shame.

    New US Cruiser line :)

I think if you get the De Moine and the permanent camo on it you will keep it at tier 9 and get a new one for the tier 10.

How is US CA line (7+) these days?

I don't remember really. The Mogami was my first T8 and I was still an awful potato and the experience was painful (I didn't use a single, ruddershift module ....). I got better with the Ibuki txs to way better reload and usage of all rudershift modules and then decent with Zao and all other cruisers I got from there. Atago is very tanky as long as you know how to dodge and don't give any broadside. Mogami is a bit the same. If you don't give broadside then you can receive some potential damage. In NO, whatever angle you take you're going to take huge pens and citadelles. Pensa was not like that. Flamuu opinions on ships are sometimes a bit "excessive". That's part of what makes him popular (and huge skill and excellent pedagogy) since having strong opinions is more interesting for public than having mixed opinion on everything. One of the best exemple is Admiral Hipper. He says it's a "garbage" ship while it's a very powerful T8 cruiser when well handled. There are other exemple, like he said for a long time that the Gearing was a bad ship and so on. I watch all his video and I learned the game partially thanks to him but one should take what he says with a grain of salt.

How is US CA line (7+) these days?

Pensacola is a excellent ship but not for beginners. I much preferred her to Cleveland (not enough range) and NO (way too squishy). Usually US CA line is more fragile than others, has less range than Russian and German counterparts but have better canons (better dpm mainly).

    Ranked Season 8: General Discussion

I stopped at rank 4 after 169 games starting at 16th. I should have started the grind earlier as I think with one more week-end I might have got it since I was still getting higher slowly. I played: Warship Tier Nation Battles Win rate PR Average Damage Avg. frags Avg. planes destroyed Atago 8 Japan 104 55.77% 2 179 56 172 0.79 0.23 Details 2 New Orleans 8 U.S.A. 25 48% 1 700 44 714 0.6 1.68 Details Admiral Hipper 8 Germany 20 55% 2 231 60 570 0.85 0.35 Details 4 Z-23 8 Germany 17 58.82% 1 617 42 099 0.88 0 Details And 3 games in Shokaku at the start just to finish the Grind to Taiho. I was grinding a first win each day on the Z, NO, Hipper. - Z-23 is bad because completely inferior to the Lo Yang. Nice torps though and that hydro can allow you to sit a bit in your smoke. If you know your DD play you can make it work if your team is not too much potato - Admiral Hipper : Long range HE spammer, very good AP against other cruisers and good DD hunter in end games with his excellent hydro. If you know how to dodge and angle, an good overall ship but sadly not super good at shooting at DDs at the start which is super important for CAs - NO still learning the ropes with this but by far the most fragile ship that even need to get close to be useful. You can't angle in it which is a real problem. If you have a good map/team you can have stellar games because its canons are the best. I got my only Kraken with her in ranked. - Atago : I played it mainly because: * Get silver * I have my only 19 points captain on her (Yamamoto) and wanted to get Captain free XP * Apart from my Benson, probably the best ship I have to carry a game and still get a good chance to get 1rst (as a DD and CA player) * Excellent at start to support your DDs, attract shots (that you can dodge, bounce, heal), HE spam BBs, AP punish broadside CAs, Curiously I have between 64% (Z) and 67% (Atago) Survival % in all 4 ships. I had a terrible streak around 10-11, then nearly one shot up to 5 then it was slower up to 4. The 5-2 league is usually more enjoyable than others because people play better. It's also harder to carry in Atago and get good damage. First the BBs are way more accurate and predict your dodge better and secondly you have less people allowing you to farm them. In CA Takao/Atago/Chapayev were the most common cruisers and difficult to deal with and some very good Mogami players too. in DD Lo Yang and Benson mainly with some Kagero in BB Amagi NC Bismark and Tirpitz, some Roma. Amagi were the most dangerous to me I found.
