    Still completely flabbergasted by the decision to model Renown in her post-service state. Give the poor lady her secondaries back, she will not be suddenly OP just because of them! Edit: Or be consistent and remove her torpedo tubes as well. She didn't have those either in the state she is depcited in...

    Isn't it 5.6 km concealment though? Since the concealment buff will be inegrated into the ships with the next patch? Not quite sure. Agreed on the rest, should be an excellent cap contester. Velos is also the only of those new ships I have any interest in (historical ship that actually existed). Malta is a CV and therefore out by default (at least she is is semi-historical). And Vallejo seems to be pure paper if that. Btw, does anyone else think her superstructure looks rather British?

    I concur with some of the previous posts. If there is no flag to be had, there is not much of a reason to play ranked for me, especially since it's tier 10.

    Yes, more range does indeed improve your vertical dispersion slightly. However, personally for me the benefit is not worth losing out on faster turrets. I hate slow turning turrets with a passion, so much so that I even used the traverse module on some ships back when it still had the reload penalty. I also use the range mod on Moskva instead of the unique module that I own, for example. Now, NC's turrets are not that bad, but still a couple extra seconds feels just more comfortable. Since I don't expect BBs to be super accurate anyway, an extra metre here or there doesn't matter to me. It's just a personal thing.

    Yes, very nice, that new camo/bonus separation, or not, I don't really care. What I do care about though: Renown is still missing 60% of her secondaries. I guess you don't want her to be played, since she is depicted in the state she was in when she went into reserve.
  11. I can still clearly remember my first Solo Warrior in Bismarck, up against an Ibuki (almost dead), an Izumo (about half hp), a New Orleans (near full hp, but out of position) and a Shiratsuyu. Shira used all hear torps and then smoked up in hydro range, so I just let my secondaries work her over, while finishing Ibuki. After that 1v1 vs Izumo (way back in the day, before she got all the buffs, so in this case especially her then weaker armour was helpful for me), while NO struggled to shoot me from range. After Izumo I barely had any health left, but we were in the lead then, so NO had to come out and fight... My most satisfying Solo Warrior is actually on Youtube. I got loads of crap in chat for being useless in my Worcester, only to turn around the game in the last minute against Tirpitz, Jean Bart, Venezia and Shokaku (sinking the two BBs and flipping the cap to get the points lead just before time expired). Just unfortunate I did not have time to see/write more in chat... The interesting bit starts at around 16:30, if interested.
  12. Ordinarily, solo warrior requires quite a bit of skill and luck, in addition to not quite so competent teammates. Occasionally though, it's really easy. Like when your team holds all the caps, a massive points lead and not much time is left, so everyone goes yolo, dies and then you are 4v1, but all you have to do is run to the map border in your little DD and let the time run out/points tick to 1000. So set the autopilot to the map corner (only if there are no islands on the way!), go to the bathroom and when you come back, hooray! Edit: I have more solo warriors than I can remember. No idea where those came from. One would think they would be memorable games...

    Mostly agreed, apart from the high seas fleet wreckage. Apart from, as mentioned in another post, it would make it look quite sad, I would also prefer for it to look quite "neutral" (time-wise), as in you can't properly tell what time it is set in, WW1, WW2 or anything in between.

  15. I like the idea very much. Maybe limit the feature to ports that are big enough (Ocean ). Considering there are different drydocks on the Drydock port for the various ship classes/sizes for example, there should be space enough for multiple ships on some ports. Maybe you could put it down on the "suggestions" list and ask the devs whether something like that is possible? Would definitely make for awsome screenshot opportunities!

    Good news about Operations

    The only "specific bonuses" I want for bots is for them to perform better. Nothing else needed. Apart from that, glad that ops are coming back. With submarines all but guaranteed to be a permanent addition to the game, I will have to stop playing pvp and more operations will at least give me an incentive to keep playing WoWs at all. The most important part is the last paragraph. We'll have to play the sh** out of the operations, so WG notices that we like them. I'm game.

    So the ship will be in the state she was in when she was in reserve. Very heroic. Or she could be in one of her various post-1939 refit states that she spent fighting during the war. Also, if she was in her reserve-state (without the forward secondaries), why does she still have torpedo tubes? Those had been removed as well. Queen Elizabeth at the same tier has the same 10x2 dual purpose guns and neither her AA nor her secondary power is considered in any way too strong. Plus, you can always tweak the numbers to reduce the damage output. As for "consistency": Long rage AA is better on Albemarle than on Drake and better on Queen Elizabeth than on King George V, and Hawkins has a stronger long range aura than Devonshire as well, for example. And that is only within the UK tech tree. So it's not as if there is no precedent for lower tier ships being a bit better in minor categories than their successors. Sorry, but I completely lack any kind of understanding for the choice of model by WG.

    Even more baffling since Renown's torpedo tubes were removed before she lost her forward secondaries and the torpedoes are clearly still there in the game version. So, WG mixed things up again just as they liked instead of creating an accurate representation of the ship that would be completely viable. I mean, would Renwon really have such overwhelming AA with her complete secondary armament? Queen Elizabeth also has 10x2 113 mm guns at tier 6 and I have not seen anyone call her AA or secondaries OP...

    Is Roma worth to get?

    Most things have already been said, but I will still summarise my thoughts on Roma with Pros and Cons: Pros: - Comfortable gun handling with quickly turning turrets and flat ballistics that make aiming easy even at range. - Excellent concealment. - Strong armour scheme (similar to Soviet BBs for which Roma probably was the prototype before actual Italian BBs) - Very high AP penetration. It's in fact better than NC or Amagi, despite the lower calibre. Cons: - Very high AP penetration. Combined with the flat ballistics this results in mass overpenetrations on cruisers. A source for frustration. - Highly volatile accuracy. Another source for frustration. - Only 381 mm guns that cannot overmatch 27 mm (plating found on many high tier cruisers). - Low gun range. Spotter plane is a must. - Terrible AA (as if it makes a difference...). Bonus: - She is a historical ship. - She is bloody gorgeous!

    What does that have to do with Renown not having her historical appearance though? And the point of a premium ship should not be to be better than the tech tree ship, just different enough to be interesting. I don't mind having a tech tree ship superior in performance to a premium counterpart, as long as there is something interesting to it, even if it is just the historically correct appearance! Combined with the ability to put any commander on it and the higher credit income, that should be enough. And it was once, before WG ruined the economy completely. There is also precedent of having the less advanced/modern ship as a premium, you mentioned one of them yourself. QE got a more thorough refit than Warspite. In fact, that phenomenon holds true with most tech tree ships that get some (often fictional) upgrades, especially in their AA armament, while the historical armament is often only found in the stock hull. In case of Renown, you would not even need anything fictional, she actually got her refit! No reason to not put it there.

    That should not be an issue, just lower the numbers (reload, alpha damage, flak bursts in case of AA). They did it plenty of times before, e.g. with modern AA guns at lower tiers (like 40 mm Bofors) having their DPM neutered or significantly different reload on identical guns (especially the American 127 mm 5''/38 that has anything from 3 to 6.5 s). How hard can it be to actually please fans of historical ships for once by simply having an accurate model? We know the people modeling the ships are able to do awesome work, so why not let them? @YabbaCoe Could you ask why the decision was taken to not have Renown in her historical appearance?
