    US DDs have to take a tier 5 skill and need mandatory the concealment upgrade to make it playable. And anyone who can buy a ship for 20 mil credits should have the credits for the modules. If not, save up credits first so you can buy the ship and instantly upgrade it. Really, this is no argument you have there and does not have anything to do with the ship performance pre and post nerf. But whatever, time will tell how the nerf affects the Khab result in future.

    Why would you compare it stock? Is this how you play a ship on live? I'm very certain you do not play stock ships, but fully upgraded, especially TX ships. So it makes no sense to compare it stock when this is not what you play in real matches.

    This is IMO a worst case scenario or you put it in a way to make Khab look worse than other DDs. The reality looks different. It's more like TX cruiser pops up in 7km range and as soon as the Gearing detect the cruiser he know he is detected -> pop radar, gg Gearing. My point is, the US DDs and IJN DDs live the by far more dangerous life, because they contest caps, they spot at the forefront, they get spotted and shot at first, have to detect and dodge torps first and are in general the primary target for cruisers and CVs. The Khab had so far none of these issues, because Khabs role is to sit at 15km+ and shell away, beer in one hand, pizza in the hand and manouver with the feet, because Khab is so fast it won't get hit anyway. Now they take away 2km (only two km) and you have to slightly adapt your gameplay. Now you have to *sometimes* care about radar and other things like it is supposed to be for *all* DDs in the game. US/IJN DDs learned to adapt to the dangerous situation and so will the Khab captains. It is not that Khab is heavily crippled with this nerf, it is still mega fast and has superior guns, all you have to do is play a bit more cautious, adapt and get to know how it is when out of nowhere a BB or Cruiser salvo hit you for 14k+ damage - and even then do you have a lot more HP than the other DDs in the game. There is already feedback on the forums (not only EU) and on streams and after the first shock 'OMG they nerfed khaba it is unplayable now OMG', people report that the nerf is almost not noticable. At least not on PTS, we'll see how it is when it hits live.

    Doesn't this also apply to other DDs as well, except the concealment part which does not matter if you are radar'd or surface spotted by a BB in secondary range? Gearing and Khab side by side, not so much difference in size as one would assume. And i don't understand why you are under the impression that you have to fight below 10km, when the Khab still have 14km range which is outside of radar, hydro, secondary range?

    I did not read the whole thread, therefore i have no idea if someone asked this already. Are the new ships and changed tiers already in the (super)test phase? It became very silent about the new ships after the initial announcement.

    A) what witch hunt? Is having a different opinion about a ship in a video game now a witch hunt? B) what do my stats have anything to do with my opinion that this nerf is not even hard enough? By your logic nobody is allowed to talk or allowed to have an own opinion except he/she is magesuperhyperunicum, right? Well here are news for you. I have eyes and see what this ship is capable of, because i played against and with it (on my team) many times. I have common sense to know that a ship, that can sit at almost 16km range and is almost not hitable, for many ships not even seable because invisible firing, and doing easily 150k+ damage have to be op. And even if you try to hunt this ship down, it simply kicks your behind with godlike guns and runs away at 48 knots. One has to be *very* ignorant to defend this ship as being 'okay as is' and not seeing how broken it is. But the fact that you look up ship stats of someone and make someones opinion about a ship dependent on his stats clearly show, that you have absolutely no arguments to back up your own 'the ship is fine' nonsense but try to derail the argumentation into dirt, where you apparently feel to have an advantage. BTW, for someone who throws stones do you hide your own stats very well, i wonder why. To save work for all that now run away to check my stats, here are my DD stats solo queue that do not allow me to have an own opinion on this topic. I welcome this nerf but wished they had increaded the reload to 7 seconds or 7.5 seconds if they leave the fire chance that high. Alternatively WG should lower the chance to set fire from 8% to 6% or make it harder to hit targets (sell arcs).

    Gearing help needed

    Who knows how the Gearing commander skills will change in a few weeks or maybe couple of month. A major rework of the commander skills is confirmed for later this year. Right now i use BFT, LS, TA, SE, CE and i'm 1 point away from TAE, but i considered to respec TA & SE to SI & DE and play the Gearing more passive and focus more on dealing raw damage. Right now i brawl a lot and hunt DDs and/or fight over caps 'til death, but with the radar buff and other changes, it became a pretty hard time near caps. Playing more passive for damage is probably better. But since the commander skill rework was confirmed i'm not sure if i should respec now or wait for the changes.

    If and when and blabla. Take your last 20 TX matches and tell yourself *honestly* how many of these battles had less than 3 DDs per side? One? Two? well... So please do not try to make it look like you would be almost always the only DD for your team. And yes, you are spotted sooner than a US DD, but the US DD can not just sit at 15km+ or run away with almost 48 knots to save his [edited]. When he is spotted and start to run away, he does it at 36 knots and will be in focus fire for a while. About me not hitting the Khab you are right, i rarley hit a Khab. Reason might be that i play 90%+ of my games in US DDs with a range of 11.1km to 12.9km. It's not easy to hit a Khab at 15km+ range under these circumstances. I have the suspision that it is not me who is the snowflake here, but you are a butthurt Khab abuser that get his toy set straight. Hmm?

    What do you mean by super close? You can still sit at 14km range compared to almost 16km than before the nerf. How is 14km super close to you? US DD sits in the first row, if he get spotted in a cap or elsewhere he is pretty much dead, because we know about the camping meta of the so called support ships to (not) help the DD in a cap zone. It is just not normal for a predator, that the Khab is, to make 200k+ damage while it has not to fear any natural enemy. Now you have to get closer into the danger zone like anyone else and you actually have to work for this insane damage the Khab can deal. @ aboomination What does my stats have to do with my statement? Are stats now required to have eyes and common sense to recognize that this ship is *extremely* overpowered? @ Master_punch And again, what do my stats have to do with the fact, that i can have an opinion about a ship? Maybe it simply does not fit my playstyle, maybe i just play bad. All this does not change the fact that i have common sense and eyes to see what the Khab is able to do. I lost enough matches against Khabs and i won enough with Khabs in my team. I do not need to be the best Khab player to recognize that this ship is extremely OP. But it tells a lot about you and your argumentation when the first thing you do is to look for a players stat to 'accept' that he has a own opinion. Pretty pitiful if you ask me.

    So what is special about this? It's like this forever for US DDs. Benson 11.6km, Gearing 11.1km and you don't see US DD captains qq about it. I know, now start the blabla about concealment, but US DD live a lot more in danger because they contest caps (radar->dead), have a lot less speed and can not sit far in the back with a flamethrower with laser guns. This nerf is long overdue and not hard enough IMO, because these 2km range reduction will not change much at all.

    Not hurt in real live, but Cruiser (especially mid tier and US in general) are simply no fun to play and grind up the ship line. No matter how well you angle, how well you hide, how well you do whatever, the second you are spotted by something a bazillion BB shells fly into your direction. Now you can dodge and angle as well as you want, one random dispersion shell still find somehow the way to your ship and baaaam, tinnitus sound in the ear and 50% of your HP are gone, just like this. This is no fun at all and even the very good players suffer hard from this, as you can see every day on streams or ingame. Imagine how frustrating and demotivating this is for a rather new or medicore player, that is not even remotely as good at dodging or angle his ship as the unicums and even they curse the RNG citadels when they are perfectly angled. A BB can eat 4 or 5 or 6 torpedoes and still lives on, repairs, heals up and keep fighting. A Cruiser get 1 good salve or 2 RNG salvos and he is gone within seconds and this dispite the angle or distance to a BB.

    Same here, 150 flags for games played, none for TX ships yet. I'm sure WG know about it already and they figure out how to fix this or maybe the flags are supposed to be rewarded a bit later for ... reasons. But whatever, thanks WG for the flags, they are so damn awesome!

    And this is the problem, there is not really a counter to a DD that can sit (excuse me, sailing around at 45 knots) at about 15km and gun everything down with godlike laser shells. Guess what a US or IJN DD need to work effective? Right, stealth and he has to be close to the enemy because torps as well as guns have a very limited range - too bad there are now tons of radar ships out there with a ridiculous cooldown and if that is not enough, BBs now have hydro too you know. It became extremely difficult to play an effective US DD, because there are so many hard counter while the RU DDs have nothing to fear. And this nerf is IMO not really a nerf and will not harm any RU DD captain.

    I have made the pretty much same experience. I play solo only and with Gearing/Khaba i do worse than with Benson/Udaloi. In my opinion the reason is, that TX is less forgiving, you get rekt a lot more often than in a bit lower tiers. It also makes the impression, that the general gameplay at TX is a lot worse than at T8 for whatever reason and if you do not carry hard, your team resigns and throw away easy won games. I see so much really stupid gameplay at TX that i have to question the IQ of many team mates on a daily basis. Also as TX you are always top tier, but you can not 'seal club' like you can do in let's say T8 with Benson. A Benson can kill you in a Gearing if he catch you off guard, so the two tier lower T8s are dangerous to TX while i can only smile when a Farragut or Mahan try to mess with my Benson. The gap between T8 to TX is not that big of a deal, while T6/7 to T8/9 is huge (often better weapons, additional modules/upgrades for T8-TX, higher skilled commander, better concealment and so on) and being top tier in T8 or T9 gives you a huge advantage. And you are right, strangers123 plays a special setup because he always division and always with a CV, which is not suitable for solo queue. However, you can send him your replay(s) for analysis.     Nerf BB range if you want BBs to tank and fight

    This is the real problem with BB captains. It will surely never happen but i'd change the game to take away the BB captains fear to get closer and make it really punishing for staying at maximum firing range or even beyond that. I would implement thresholds/triggers for ship armor. If a ship is in the 1-2 line (9-10 or A-B/I-J line respectively) it consist of 100% citadel and every salvo from a higher calibre or torpedo hits like a citadel hit. You take 4 or 5 of these shots (overpen and ricochets do not exist, every hit penetrates) or 2 torps and you are dead. (you think this sound exaggerated? ask a CA/CL about it) If you get closer and pass the 3 line (7 or C/H line respectively) it activates your normal armor and in addition torpedoes do reduced damage (maybe -20% damage) to them. To avoid lucky shots from the opponent spawn at the beginning of the match, all ships are immune to damage for the first 90 seconds to give everyone time to move their behind into the 'safe zone'. If you leave the 'safe zone' it's back to bye bye armor, hello citadel city. There are the border hugger too, that abuse to be partially outside of the map. I'd add a timer (maybe 60 second) triggered on contact and if a ship does not break contact with the border it simply detonates. This was enough wishful thinking for this morning, time to grab a coffee. ^^ .... oh yeah, and reduce TX costs, because this is still an issue

  23. There are so many better ways to populate low/mid tier than to try to force it with insane cost on high tier. And i doubt that low/mid tier would be a wasteland when the high tier cost would be on a sane level. And it is by no means that people want to make big bucks at TX, but all that is asked for is to not lose credits for playing well or even winning a match.

    Map Changes

    Shatter: I realy dislike this big island inside the C cap. It creates really boring and stupid situations, where a couple of ships sit on one side of the island and the enemy team on the other side. I had a game with 2 radar cruiser division hugged the island and they used radar alternating. It was impossible to cap, because they blocked the cap and it was not possible to go around the island, because BBs and whatnot waited on the other side and thanks to radar it was not possible to ambush them. This stalemate lasted for almost 10 minutes while the other half of the teams fought over A cap and nobody touched B. A small island inside C is ok or move the big island to the outer border of the cap zone and make C island free, but inside the cap is it just meh. Land of Fire: Some player seem to not like it for whatever reason, i like it better as it is right now.
