Invis fire will be removed when the new commander skills go live. BBs with 2 planes in the sky means, there will be a 100% uptime that spots for you and reduce the invis fire range enormous. Also preventive fire will merge the superstructure into one fireplace, so invis fire, whose purpose is to set fires on BBs, will do effectively 50% less damage. There are also other gimmicks that get rid of invis fire, which is very situational and most of the time not doable anyway - at least not for DDs. The more i look at the new commander skills and play on PT, the more i recognize how much of a buff for BBs this skill overhaul is and how much it cripples the gameplay of all other ship classes.

Have you tried it on a BB or have you informed yourself about it properly? This skill is a MASSIVE buff to BBs in terms of survivability and a MASSIVE nerf to ships like DDs that rely to a good portion on fire damage. Not only does this nerf the damage a lot but it's also a hit to the economy, because as we know, credits are generated by total damage and when all BBs use FP the income will go down the drain. What this skill does is, that it merges the 2 spots on the superstructure that can be set on fire into 1 spot. Everyone who plays WoWs longer than 3 days knows, how rare fires on stern and bow are and that 2 fires on the superstructure are kinda common, because this is where everyone shoot to make damage at all. So the FP skill pretty much halves the possibility to set a BB (and only BBs, because pretty much every other ship/class can have only 3 fires anyway) on fire. This is again a huge buff for BBs and a kick in the face to e.g. gunboats that not only cut down the total damage of certain ships, but it also cripples the economy in the long run.

No SC on EU since forever, but got one on NA when picking the 15th container. It was a more flags container and this is exactly what i got, 250 flags with fire chance.

Here is my point of view on this whole 'hate' thing. WG is a company that have to make money to pay their employees and keep the engine running. They do not have any resources to waste nor do they have to give away everything for free. We all understand and support this by spending money on their product which WoWs is. Now, if WG emphasizes they are a company that have to make money and justify weird decisions with this, then i stop being an ordinary gamer that spend his spare time on their product and i start to be a paying customer. As a customer i want the most and best value for the money that i spend on a company. I want a perfect product that i can enjoy 24/7 and not only sometimes. When i see that a company sells their product on 2 or more regions in a different quality, then i will do a heck to buy this product in the region that offers me the worst value for my money. In fact, i would be stupid to spend nnn amount of money on product xyz with an inferior quality, when i can get the same product somewhere else with an superior quality plus a bonus on top. It's not only about WG want to make money, it's also that i want the best possible value for the cash i spend on WG. And WG EU has disappointed several times throughout the 7 month where i use their product, while i've seen that other regions are treated a lot better. I, as a paying costumer (for 3 family member), feel constantly be fooled and to some extend betrayed by the way the company WG EU try to sell me their inferior product and in some cases implied that i'm too stupid to make my own decisions (missions too hard blabla, that's why you should just buy it). At this point i do not care anymore what WG EU does and that they added the christmas convoy mission afterwards, after more than 2000 complaints and a 100+ pages long thread with upset customers. WG EU had plenty of chances to fix their product in the last couple of months and offer it to me with the same high quality standard other regions have by default, but they failed again and again. I have drawn my consequences from this poor management and lousy customer treatment and take my money elsewhere (WG NA). Yes, in the end it is the same company that receive my money, but now i get a lot more value in return for the same buck and can enjoy the product instead to have to complain over and over again about why the company WG offers the same product with different quality for different regions. And it is not only the big mistakes like the christmas convoy, it's all these little things almost on a weekly basis. Things like daily XP bonus, why does EU get 50% while other regions get 100%? Why does EU get x2 commander XP while other regions get x3 commander XP? Why does EU have high tier restrictions and crazy mission requirement while other regions can compelete the same missions in lower tier ships and only accumulate XP without the need to complete weird tasks (20 RU kills and such)? Why do other regions get Dragon Flags for repeatable (very easy to fulfill) missions while EU get nothing? And there are many many many more examples like this. All you have to do is to follow the missions and event calender for a few weeks on EU and on NA/RU/SAE and you will notice how much more value you get in return for the money you spend on WoWs depending on which region you play this game. If i do hate WG EU? No i don't, but i also do not want to be treated like an idiot when i'm a paying customer and this is why i take my money to the region where it is appreciated. Starting new from scratch is hard but it also gives new goals to reach. Concerns about bad ping and an unplayable game are non-existent, in fact i have not noticed any difference to EU at all. The playerbase is a bit smaller but games pop up just as fast as on EU and the whole community there seem to be a lot nicer and less toxic. The only thing that i regret from the switch EU to NA is that i haven't done it sooner. I'll keep my EU account as backup and perhaps play a game now and then, but that's about it.

Do you know what really concerns me? These skills are on PT right now and this means, the decision is already made that we will get these changes with the next patch after the PT phase ended. All they might do is to change some skills slightly to pretend to show goodwill. After that we get the usual 'we watch the data and make changes if necessary' but we all know these changes will never happen. The new skilltree and the new commander XP stuff does two things: 1. buff BBs enormous and nerf all ships/classes that rely on stealth to work 2. it will take almost double the time to level up a commander, which will screw over new players and everyone who start to train a new captain. I'm certain, that there will be some captain training accelerator available at some point - for real money. First WG EU chase away players with their stupid decision making regarding campains, mission and such and now WG Global will chase away many players entirely because these new changes will make this game so much not fun to play. I can only speak for myself, but as a DD-only player this will ruin the game for me and if these changes go live, i'm done with this WoWs. Because no matter how WG try to fix this mess after the skilltree was released, it will screw over the game in a long run and the damage that is cause with one hit (read patch) can not be repaired again other than a rollback, which gaming companies never do. These major skilltree change are imo an instant RIP WoWs!

Progression table (first post, scroll down a bit and expand the hidden box) from the NA forum. You pretty much need twice as many commander XP to level up to rank 15 compared to before, which make it very annoying to train new captains.

I have just finished the first match on PT and the RPS skill is exactly what i and many other have feared. It shows exactly the direction in realtime where the nearest enemy is. In the game just a minute ago it was more than easy to kill a DD that tried to ambush from around an island, he had no chance at all. My honest opinion, even i know you would like to hear it in a nice and constructive way? This skill is pure B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. and will make DDs almost obsolete. They can not contest caps anymore, because once a DD is in a cap it is know he is in the cap zone and RPS reveals the exact position, because RPS shows the direction on the point and the limit of the cap zone reveal the distance. Torps and blind fire will come in like there is no tomorrow. It will also be near to impossible to win close games with only very few ships left by smart play and sneaky recap, because the exact direction is known by the enemy. No more flanking for DDs, because .. well you guess it. DDs will now become what BBs and Cruiser already are - for range speccing camper, raining fire down on enemy ships (btw, Demo Expert was nerfed too, so the BBs cry less i assume) and ignoring objectives. 34 thumbs down for this game destroying skill.

You are right it is a great game, that's why i keep on playing WoWs - on NA. I have already created an account and grabbed some premium time to accelerate the grind to Tier 8/9. I did not even bother to beg the support for an account transfer from EU to NA, because it won't happen anyway. So i keep my Tier 10's and 18pt captains on EU and maybe play a couple of games here when i have the urge to play high tier battles. Other than that i'll grind 1-2 lines to Tier 8/9 on NA and that'll be it. I will not spend any money on WG again other than premium time on a monthly basis. I honestly do not care anymore what happens on WG EU because there were too many second chances already with all the missions mess that happened throughout the whole year, it's not just this xmas mission. WG has lost my trust as CUSTOMER, read paying user for not only me but also my wife and son, but i will stick around a PLAYER. p.s. if anyone want to switch to NA for a new start too, send me a PM for an invite link. Some credits, free premium ship and 85k free XP help to shorten the grind.

It's the same on other regions too but they do it despite they get better rewards and easier missions. You would know this if you'd read also other region forums and not try to act smart by posting assumptions.

Oh look, NA got a nice event with x3 Commander XP and +15% more Credits, free Dragon Flags and Camos. Well i'm sure EU got something nice too, lemme check the portal .... hmmmmmm

This is done every time a new mission or special event comes up and time and time again the players have to protest and raise their voice. It just seems that WG does not want to understand that we do not ask for much, but just want equal treatment. It is really a shame that customers have to protest over and over to a company that lives from our money. I for my part consider to leave EU and try out NA or stop playing WoWs at all. I have already told my wife and my son, both play WoWs too, that we will not spend one cent more on WG other than maybe premium time. While i'm happy with my default ships and a Blys as only premium ship, my wife and my son both have combined a total of 17 premium ships, in addition to the premium time, doubloons and other stuff. So i have already spent more than enough money to WG but this came to an end. If they want my money, THEY have to convince me with a quality product and equal treatment to spend money on them and it is NOT on me to run after them and beg them to please please give me the same value for my money that other regions get for cheaper!

New gunfire sound is beyond UNBEARABLE! The game is full of stuff that could be fixed and improved but there is one thing i have never heard or read anyone complain about and this is Sound. And still, you tinker and 'improve™' the sound over and over again. Now you did it again, this new gunfire sound on Blys, US DDs, Des Moines and probably every other ship let me instantly lose the interest to play this game. I've seen in the sound feedback thread from PTS that there were complaints and an official stated that there was no sound changes, yet they are there. Why can you not check and fix this stuff before a patch goes live? Blyskawica Gearing Des Moines Khabarovsk So what was your WG Sound guy thinking? Let's remove treble and raise the gunfire bass by 380%, because bass is cool and everyone love bass and while we are at it, let's add 8s reverb?!

Since the patch is live and we have no dedicated 0.5.16 sound thread in the patch forum for it yet.... 50% discount on Premium time? Permanent +5% on everything with the military flag that anyone got pretty much for doing nothing other than log in? In general easier missions that do not screw over normal gameplay? Additional missions that hand out good stuff like candy? ... yeah, must be only for the xmas missions ;)

Quite a few guys play on NA and EU and the ping is no issue at all. WoWs is not a high FPS and low ping shooter, in this game you do not notice if you have 20ms or 120ms. On Topic Yes, i'd move instantaneously. I have a couple of T10 ships with 18pt captains and a nice collection of Dragon flags, XP camos (and my Jolly Roger ^^), it would be a pity to lose them and start a new account from scratch on NA.

You know, this mission is fun and engaging, works as intended and after analysing the game data in the WG headquarters there is no problem at all. Besides, you have 2 months time to complete the missions. Of course only if you started at November 1st (because we all start the missions at day 1 and drop all work and family obligations or never take breaks from the game) and ignore minor things like holiday times that are usually related to this thing...how is it called?..oh yeah, christmas. Yep, one must simply love these great missions that bring so much joy to the game.
