I got more SCs (2) in the last 2 days than I got in 6 months. In both cases it was pretty crappy but at least the hope can live on because SCs do exist. This was a TYL because I actually misclicked the container type. -

Those are my solo queue stats, I've only played 15 games 2-ship division, ranked is not included. Looking at the overall stats I'm still kinda a potato after so many battles, but it's getting better. It's not so much a 'todays gaming achievement' but more a long term achievement. I thought I post this here instead to open a new thread which would only be misunderstood as brag-post which it isn't. -

Ships like the Kamikaze R are so much loved for mainly 2 reasons: 1. People like to have a superior ship in addition to a huge gaming experience advantage over novice players to pad their stats (mainly win rate) in low tier. In addition to the already huge advantage they often use high point commanders to enhance the advantage even more. You must consider, a novice player does not even have access to camos or flags before tier 6 if they level up normally. 2. People often enough suck at high tiers and need the low tier seal clubbing to feel good about themself and have a sense of success once in a while. But whatever float the boat. Some like this low tier seal clubbing, others like myself consider everything below tier 8 (well, maybe tier 6-7 to a certain extend) boring crap. -
I have tested a build with BFT on PTS with a Z-52 but this should be pretty much the same as Z-46. I'm not convinced by BFT but this is probably because I might have a different style of play. The 4s reload goes down to 3.6s with BFT which is 1 additional salvo per minute, so I can roughly fire one additional salvo per smoke duration, 16 salvos instead of 15. If I lose 50% HP and the additional AR kicks in I can shoot 18 salvos, but then I also shoot 16 salvos without BFT. The 2% additional fire chance might be not that much, but I have this higher fire chance for all my fired HE shells which should ultimately set more fires than one additional salvo per minute can deal raw damage. In a perfect world I would only want to shoot AP at broadside ships, but this is not the reality and I am forced to use way more often HE than I like to. This one additional salvo (or in a more favourable way for the BFT build with -50% HP the 2 salvos) don't justify 3 skill points for my style of play. Yes, over the full duration of a battle it is more than the theoretical 20 extra salvos from BFT but combat engagements have downtimes, you don't shoot your guns nonstop that's why the 'BFT timer' is resetted whenever you stop firing your guns. BFT does only have an effect if you actually shoot more than 11 salvos in one engagement and I think we can agree that this is not what happens most of the time. Scenarios where you shoot more than 11 salvos are usually sitting in smoke or while kiting a ship that chase you. In that case the ship is bow on and you want to shoot HE anyway. Another scenario where BFT might be helpful would be in a knifefight with another DD where it is important to kill the enemy as fast as possible and the additional salvo would be fired at around the 40s mark (saved up time from BFT that let you shoot 11 salvos instead of 10 at the 40s mark), but even then... KM DDs are not meant to knifefight other DDs in first place and the 'smoke up and pop hydro trap' does not really care about the extra salvo. TL;DR I do not see much of a sense in using BFT on a KM DD other than to buff the AA for self-defense. I start to understand why so many people play only BB. They do not have to break their head over things like this.

Please add to the tooltip of ship moduls a 'Special' section with additional information what this modul upgrade is good for. For example: show flooding chance for torpedo upgrades, show which consumables can be equipped with a hull upgrade/sidegrade, show special cases like i.e. KM DD Z-23 get a dual-barrel gun in the front only if gun AND hull are upgraded or KM DD Gaede get Hydro with a hull upgrade only. It is very important to know before researching and buying an upgrade which benefit a player, respectively the ship, will receive from a certain upgrade, which upgrade to buy to get access to certain consumables and so on. Also add the option to see a ship stat-change preview with a desired ship upgrade just like with modules. Let the player see directly at the ship parameters how equiping i.e Concealment upgrade affect the ship concealment or how Main Battery (or Torpedo Tubes) Modification change the reload time or turret traverse time.

Thanks for your reply and the sound explanation of your build. Let me try to do the same with my build choices. I pick PM over PT because the Z-46 seem to have an issue with knocked out modules especially engine and rudder (which is bad kiting enemy ships) and I also want to have torps ready as much as possible because I consider them the bread and butter armament of the Z-46. LS is a nobrainer for any DD. SE helps against the exceptional damage the german DDs receive, especially from cruiser and BB shells. I find myself often with 2k or less HP at the end of the battle, without SE I would be dead. TAE because torps is the main armament and make the strength even stronger can't be wrong. SI is a nobrainer for perhaps 95% of ships in the game. The fire chance of the german DD (high tier) is already good and I would assume that DE is benefical, because the Z-46 is not a gunboat and I have only little time to spam shells at the enemy from smoke or from range kiting away. Yes, AP has highest priority but often enough I'm forced to use HE because a ship charges my smoke bow on or I have bow on BBs on the enemy team where my AP is useless. Setting as many fires as possible with as few salvos as possible is the target, to vanish into stealth again. DE starts more fires than BFT and considering that main guns are used not so much I consider BFT weaker the fewer salvos are fired with a hit and run tactic. CE is again a nobrainer. The main reason why I would want to use AFT is actually because of german BBs that I meet a lot in the T7 to T10 MM. All these suckers know nothing but secondary build that require zero skill and the ship does all the work and thinking for them. The problem is, that I can not open fire on them while they are often distracted, because with my 11km gun range I'm almost always in their 10.6km secondary range and the secondaries rip german DDs apart that it's almost ridiculous. With AFT I can stay outside their secondary range and harass them while they are engage in fights with other Ships or have them rely on their main guns only while kiting them. In the AFT build the AR is also a given because of the remaining 2 points and there is nothing better to use for 2 points. Anyway, I'll think about your build and perhaps test it on PTS while it is up. @KaraMon Your link does not work for me. It only redirects me to an empty skill calculator without the build.

There should be exactly as many DD per team as there are cap zones on the map. For standard battles the amount of DD does not matter really. But playing maps like Northern Lights with 4 cap zones but only one DD per side (which i already had) or even worse, 1 vs 2 DD and 4 cap zones is just retarded. Other than that are there A LOT more games with 5+ BB per side than even 4+ DD per side.

@Leo_Apollo11 Did you get the 100 Dragon Flags on your second last screenshot recently, after they nerfed the flag amount from container? Because i've seen posts on the NA forums that people got 50 Dragon Flags from a SC. If this is true then there would be SC with different amounts of Dragon Flags, which would add only more RNG. -

Oh, this remind me that i got a SC yesterday, after a couple of months without one. No screenshot, 50 ocean soul camos. No idea which type of container it was, because i do not collect them anymore but let the game pick a random type when it resets the daily xp progress. -

Well you basically say it's pure luck what team you get and the influence of the CV doesn't really matter that much? If this is true, how come you have a 75% WR with high tier CV and this guys has a 34% WR? Both of you have played several hundred games in high tier CV. Do you really think that this is all team luck related? In my opinion are you a very good CV player and therefore can completely dominate battles if your opponent CV is average at best. The opposing team, assuming the team does not consist of 3 Des Moines plus 2 Minotaurs, will stand no chance in that case. Your own results and stats pretty much refute your statement. -

I don't take this right away. And he is not an average player, he is way below average, in fact he is a very bad player. And because he is such a bad player and does not care about teamplay and the other players at all, he can just as well play Coop and have his 'fun' there. Let me ask the other way around: who gives him the right to ruin the fun for everyone else he is playing with on the same team? Besides, anyone who is losing that much and only get stomped and yelled at (and i'm 100% certain this happens a lot with his performance) can not have much fun doing it. As i said, if he played DD or BB or CL/CA this can be compensated by the team, but a CV this awful has such a huge impact on the game, especially in high tier, that this should be prevented by WG in first place. It is no coincidence that he has such a low WR and WTR. These stats are so low because he is responsible for these stats and as a CV has a much higher impact on these stats than players of other classes. @El2aZeR Your comment is not true and you know it as much as i do. Maps like Okinawa, the map our game happen to be played on, is a very open map and spotting is everything. A CV who spots immediately caps and attacks the enemy DDs that try to cap, while the other guy has his planes idle above him for the first 4 minutes, pretty much won already the game for his team. It's especially hard on maps like Okinawa to push the enemy team back that defend the caps and re-cap them. The map is so open that BB camp far back or cuddle up in A behind the islands and Cruiser do not move forward because there is zero cover. This lead to no support at all for DDs to cap, especially if the enemy CV permanently scouts the caps and instantly send bomber if a DD even comes close to a cap. The ONLY way to change this is, if the own CV is competent and provide air cover with fighters and chasing away the enemy DD from caps in first place. Your theory of i can not blame the loss on a single player is BS, because this happen so often in high tier CV games that i'm for sure not the only one who would like to see these players banned from random battles. And if you think i am alone just watch streams of somewhat prominent streamers when they queue solo and land in a CV game with a lousy CV player. Count how often you hear 'WTH is our CV doing??'. Still thinking i am wrong? Well then try this next time, since your main vessel seem to be CVs too. Grab your Taiho and join a solo queue game, if you happen to be on an open map like Okinawa or Tear of Desert or alike, launch your planes and do literally nothing for 4 minutes, then send your planes along the map edge to attack US BBs (because why bother to learn that US BBs have amazing AA) in the enemy back. Do not scout caps, do not provide air cover for any team member, just do nothing other than sacrifice planes to AA. Let us know how the game went for your team and what your team thinks about your performance. -
I call haxx here. My highest positive karma was 12 i believe, but this was months ago. Usually my karma stays around 2 to 0. If there was a minus value i'm sure it would be most of the time -15 or something like this. I wish the potato report button would work the same way the chat report works. A Potato plays crap and get a certain amount of reports, he should be banned from random battles and put in coop for the next 20 games.

I like this new feature a lot. But i agree, changes like this should always have the option to use the new version or the old version a player is used to.

I wonder why BB players do not prefer DDs. It's much easier for a DD to hide behind rocks or run away unspotted - the two things that 95% (estimated due to experience) of all BB players in WoWs can do best.

Somehow are both, IFHE and AFT obsolete and pretty much useless in the current meta. The times are over where the Des Moines was *the* fleet AA protection. There are rarely CVs in TX games, NA and EU. And even there is a CV game, there are now german BBs with good AA, there are RN with insane AA, most other cruisers have very good AA. AFT is just not worth using it anymore for these rare 1/10 or 1/15 if-cases anymore. IMO people are better off by dropping AFT and using another 3-point plus a 1-point skill or two 2-point skills (build example). But this is only my personal opinion.

It's kinda funny how everyone here and on reddit hate the use of IFHE and says it is a useless 4 point skill on Des Moines. At the same time people use AFT to increase the AA range on Des Moines, which is also a 4 point skill, but there are rarely any CVs in high tier games and if so, most are smart enough to avoid the Des Moines to not get into the AA bubble. I play mostly on NA and many others here do too. There is maybe 1 out of 15 games a CV game and buffing AA is a complete waste, but there are always US BBs in the games. IFHE makes much more sense than AFT on NA because it might be rare when it's useful, but it's still way way more useful than AFT. Many players even drop AA consumable and use Hydro on Des Moines because it's simply more useful with the DD heavy (5 dds per side is not uncommon) NA meta.

Still no rewards from last PTS, and new incoming

Hopefully you are right. I have my PTS account linked to my NA account and also didn't get any rewards. After i contacted the support they told me within 48h or i should reply back, which i did today - then hilarity ensues. First i was told that my email could not be found in the PTS database and if i maybe used a different email, so i replied back that the email is 100% correct. Then, after a few minutes i got a new reply to my ticket, that my PTS email would be registered with an EU account, which it isn't. I should contact the EU support to get the rewards. So i replied back that my email is 100% correct and it is 100% assigned to my NA account. I also told the support that i participated already a couple of times on PTS and always got the rewards - at my NA account. Then i proceeded to makes screenshots of my email inbox with all the WG PTS emails that reach back to January, all were sent from WG NA, all to my correct NA/PTS email address. My ticket on NA was closed, so i have reopened it and wait for an answer to my screenshots that prove that the error is certainly on WGs end. BTW, once a email is registered for PTS and linked to an account region it can not be changed, so i can not change the previous NA to Eu even if i would want to. I can also not register a new account on PTS and link it to EU, because both, email and username are in use. Weird things are going on.
