If you look at the bigger picture it kinda did. Or what do you think why we have the current high tier meta? Why are there pretty much only roflstomp games where one side has radar ships and the other side doesn't. Where one side has capper DDs and the other side doesn't and so on. Yes you are right, these changes did not destroy the game instantly and obvious but all these changes combined pile up and are the reason why we have this shitty passive playing and camping meta, DDs not going for objectives, and so on.

Met a whole bunch of people in the last few days (in no particular order): IceyJones, iEarlGrey, Corvi, mtm78, Kenliero, waxx25 and some others I can't remember the names.

I just had one of my best games ever in Des Moines with my personal best of 8 kills. Of course this was honored by 1 compliment and 5 reports plus post battle cheat accusations.

Two Brothers, 2 BBs and 1 DD do what at the game start? Right, oh looky there a nice channel, i wonder where this passage lead to?! Two minutes later we lost 2 BBs and 1 DDs, who would have guessed?! I acknowledge this great strategic move with a 'thank you! you just lost us the game you idiots'. And idiots do what idiots do best after throwing the game: So why exactly was it okay that morons ruin the game for others AND can report you at will, while guys like me only have the right to shut the [edited]up and take the loss?

Well, NA isn't much better than EU. I've just played a Benson game for the daily win bonus and ended up in a tier 10 battle on Haven. This doesn't really worry me because Benson is a great ship and I'm very confident with it but what I did not take into account was my team. Not even 3 minutes into the game we were down 4 (FOUR!) ships. One of these glorious 3-ship only DD division with the mindset of 'omgomg i have a great idea. let's push straight through the cap zone and torp anyone on the other side. yololololo'. Well, who would have guess that this is a bad idea against half a dozen Gearings, Des Moines, Hindenburgs. And the 4th dead guy was a 'i am in a takao and i sail now broadside here in a tier 10 battle. oh i believe that yamato looks funny at me'. I was too frustrated to take a screenshot.

That's why I mentioned it. All I see is a T7 CV that launches T6 planes, which makes no sense in terms of common sense. But if WG compensated for it then so be it. Wouldn't be the first time they utterly screw up a new release.

I have no clue about CVs and I really don't care about this class at all but I just noticed a thing that looks really stupid even for me as CV illiterate. Saipan is a T7 premium and got T9 planes while the T7 premium Kaga got T6 planes? Seems totally fair and balanced to me.

I used to check it after every session but since a couple of month I do not really care about it anymore. I check it now maybe once a week or more often if I grind a new ship line to see the comparison to the server average. Anyway, if I check the stats I usually do not look so much at the WR or WTR but more like main gun hit ratio, survived battle rate, average ship damage. These stats are more important to me to estimate my progression. Stats are usually overrated because most of them are influenced by things you can not control.

Cleveland hates CVs!

Well, a couple of days ago I finish a battle and returned to port and got one of these promotion popups. Actually it was not so much a promotional thing but it read something like 'Congratulations ThePurpleSmurf … you have your 1 year anniyersary playing WoWs … here is a discount coupon as a gift from us to you'. (NOTE: not the actual words but this is kinda what the context read) Actually my 1 year WoWs was a while back, but whatever. When I clicked the popup it directed me to the premium shop coupon website, which welcomed me with 'YOU DON'T HAVE ANY COUPONS You will be notified of new coupons via email.' So no coupon, the popup is gone and I could not screenshot it and there is also no email yet. WG why do you congrats to me ingame, which for a brief second made me believe that you really appreciate that I've spent more than a year playing (and paying) your product, just to give me the finger with a big fat grin on your virtual face? Oh well, after all it is WG Europe, right?!

I wouldn't do this. Maybe you want to grind a new ship line some day (many new lines to come in the future) and then Free XP is golden to free XP the modules so you do not have to play a bunch of battles with a stock ship. Nothing more annoying than to play a new ship with stock range and all your enemies are out of range because you can not afford to free XP the range modul. Same counts for gun upgrades like for example on the Roon. Without the gun upgrade it's just an awful pos of a ship but once you upgrade the guns it turns into a beast. But this is just my opinion. If you swim in free XP sure, then it's a great resource to retrain or boost commanders.

19 points on Gearing, Benson, Des Moines 18 points on Fletcher (will most likely be moved to Cleveland because I enjoy Z-46 over Fletcher which makes the Fletcher obsolete) a bunch of 15-17 points on Blys, IJN DD, Z-46 (captain will be moved and boosted to 19 points with ECXP when I get the Z-52 today or tomorrow), Khaba, old Udaloi captain in reserve p.s. yes you guessed it, I'm a DD guy xD

For free ships from missions that you already have in your port you usually get only credits as far as I know.

This is true, but most flags and camos have XP and Commander XP as bonus at the same time and the XP bonus boosts the Free XP that you automatically get as well. Using the flags without daily bonus will be a XP loss one way or another. But whatever, I thought to make this post because I've played my Cleveland a bit and saw quite a few low tier ships with the new flags equipped which makes no sense IMO.

Only use them in high tier battles. Only use them with daily win bonus. Only use them on ships that you can play well. Only use them on ships with a 19 point commander. Do NOT waste these flags for low tier grind or on ships where you can not expect to get much XP or Credits. IMO Elite commander XP is currently the most valuable resource we have ingame. It's great to be able to boost a new commander on a ship to 10+ skill points before leaving the port for the first time. It's great to reset the skill points (10k ECXP per assigned skill point) without doubloons. It's great for retraining a commander for a new ship (pick the 200k credits retraining option and ECXP the rest to have a fully retrained commander) Daily win with my Gearing - net 370k credits, 36k elite commander XP, 4k free XP (I'm out of those 777% free xp flags) NO this is not a brag screenshot! It's meant to be a tip on how to get the most out of these flags, that are very limited unless you spent a ton of cash for these way too overpriced campaign containers. NOTE: you can also use the Hunter camo that you got from a recent mission or event or whatever it was, to get even more elite commander XP. I think the ultimate elite commander XP farmer should be a AA build Des Moines divisioned with a CV. Shooting planes down gives insane XP. Recently I had a DM game where I did not do much other than shooting down about 40 planes and killed a DD and got almost 3200 base XP. In the Gearing game above I had 'only' 2430 base XP and did not even cap a zone. So there is potential for a lot more XP to make. Anybody got 50k+ commander XP in a single game yet?

Just a minute ago my Tier 10 match ended with an absolute crushing and devestating loss. Of course was it a CV game and as we all know, this is the only class where one player can dominate the whole game and this is what happened here. Just out of curiosity have i check the stats of our Taiho player and was not disappointed, because i kinda expected this. Why is there no way to put players on a blacklist to never play again with them? Why is there no way to block this sort of player entirely from high tier games? All they do is ruining the gaming experience for the whole team. Put CV player through a 500 game training with an exam at the end, to ensure that they know a little bit about this class at least. I'm so pissed by the sheer amount of absolute incompetent CVs in high tier battle that ruin the game and the whole day for others. Lock these guys in Coop and never let them out there again, please! If a DD player is bad no big deal, the team can compensate this. Same applies to a bad BB or bad CL/CA player, but there is NO way to compensate for a awful bad CV player if the enemy CV is at least somewhat competent! /rant

Ya know what? I thought about it and a combined 5k+ battles without a Clear Sky can not be. I play Des Moines a lot and it's fully AA specced but the most planes I have shot down was 50 or so. It's obvious that high tier solo queue does not work well to get this achievement, that's why I'm going to brush off the rust on my Cleveland, slap a 18pt commander on it and spec her AA. Then I'll play Cleveland until I got a Clear Sky and hope to have some luck at low tier with noob CVs on the enemy team. Achievement hunting can not be worse than grinding new ship lines. ^^

If cyclone is a good or bad thing really depend on which ship you are in. There are ships that make you single handedly a match winner during a cyclone. Other ships appear to be completeley useless. I like cyclones because I mostly play ships that do very well during cyclones, like high tier US DDs or Des Moines.

3662 battles (excluding ranked and 1000+ random battles on NA) and still have no Clear Sky. I also don't have an Unsinkable as well as the campaign completed achievs, because they require BB gameplay and I don't play BBs.

p.s. I survived and got 4 kills in the end.

Okay, what is going on? I got another SC, this is the 4th in the last 6 days. It's a modul -of course- but actually I do not complain because it's one of the two useful modules that I can use. This was a TYL pick, just out of curiosity.

Have to fill the slots with something that no hated DDs can join the battle i guess.

Or did the protesting riot already started somewhere?
