    1000 karma

are you sure about that? I'm pretty certain that i've seen a streamer (99% sure it was flambass) with well over 4000 karma.
  2. A recent observation on a stream made me think about my personal, most weird way to die and i have actually 2 that are burnt into my memory and i will never forget. 1. Years ago, when i unlocked the Khabarovsk and it was considered broken op, i played my first game with her and it was 'special'. There was a camping enemy Yamato with full HP sitting next to an island and didn't move all game long. I decided to yolo this guy, but sadly i had some knowledge holes in regards to torps (especially Khaba torps), torpedo belts and also how certain mechanics work in this game, such as ramming. So i ambushed the Yamato, yoloed around the island and torped him right in his fat belly. Well, i landed all torps but i didn't know that Khaba torps only tickle BBs and that Yamato has a very high torp damage reduction on top of that, he survived easily. This threw me off a bit, so i had the next genius idea - i ram this guy, this will show him who is boss! Yep, back then i had no idea that ramming another ship only deals damage equal to your maximum ship hit points (without ramming flag). I got what i asked for, i rammed this Yamato and dealt like 26k damage and died, while he lived and got a Die-hard on top of it. After that game i hated the Khaba and it remained this way to this day! 2. This is a short one. Long ago, when we had Forts in the game… I was fighting over a cap with my Gearing and smoked up inside of a cap zone. For whatever reason another ship decided to push forward next to my smoke and sadly, this ship was under fire by the Fort. Anyone who remember Forts know how inaccurate they were, but they hit like a truck. Well, the Fort dispersion sucked because its shells did not hit the ally ship, but one shell blind fired me in the smoke and detonated my Gearing. What can i say, i wasn't a huge fan of Forts and i'm glad they are gone. UPDATE - screenshot added What's your most awkward/weird/embarrassing way to check out in this game?
  3. And you even went pink for teamkilling. Good job!

[Poll] Are Tier 10 randoms fun?

It used to be a lot of fun as solo player, but those times are over. Too many radar ships, too many planes, too many overmatch, too many incompetent players that bought their way into high tiers without basic understanding of the game and game mechanics. Nope, it is not fun anymore, no tier is really. Perhaps i should try some division play, but i assume the games will just suck as much it'll only affect the WR.

BUG? Selling items is NOT redacted from price

This is outrageous, literally a scandal. I demand that we put COVID-19 on hold, push back the potential re-election of the orange clown and stop caring about pollution until this very pressing problem is solved! smh

    Unable to start game

Tried to rename the file and then run the repair function? Perhaps the file is corrupt but WG only checks if it exists or has a certain size. If it's missing it should download the correct version. But then again, it's telling about a DLL so the problem could be a different file that causes the problem, the exe could just be the target. What i personally would try is to make a backup folder, move all loose files (not folders!) from your WoWs_Eu folder into the backup folder and then run the repair. The game should download all the DLLs and the EXE files (approx 15 MB) but not re-download all game files (60 GB). But be aware that also the preferences.xml is there too, it stores your client settings. This means you have to adjust all your graphics and sound settings as well as keybindings, crosshair and so on. So either restore just the preferences file after the repair or do it manually ingame. If this doesn't work, a re-install is your only remaining option.

    blacklist? what the [edited]is that?

It doesn't work anyway in the way a blacklist is supposed to work. The only good thing about it is to add someone in a battle or at the result screen of a battle if you want to message this person later. It's much faster to click the name and send a message, then remove them from the list again in port than to use the equally useless ingame search that often doesn't find players even if you spell out the entire name correctly. The whole chat/message/list system in WoWs is horsecrap and needs a proper overhaul. Same goes for the chat bans. I'll never understand why battle chat bans also ban you from writing in port to people on your friends list or in clan chat. The manually applied chat bans do exactly this, they only ban you from the battle chat, all other chats are fine.

    Man Secs for Mass/Georgia?

I prefer to rely on main guns for damage and staying alive longer than to yolo in and have 3 minutes of secondaries fun and then die (or die on the way to get into secondary range) because i had no points to invest into survivability. But that's maybe just me. I spec into secondary range, but not into manual or ifhe.

    blacklist? what the [edited]is that?

According to the crazy 2020 international press and media, blacklist sound too racist. Can we please rename this list to 'Potato bag' or 'Vegetable garden'? At least it doesn't sound racist, right?! Cheers!

I hope Santa will have lots and lots of coal to stuff in my stocking. Well, i wouldn't mind some steel either.

    wiki.wargaming.net blocking IP's?

Okay you computer potatoes. Let me try to explain to you as simple as possible what your problem is/was. And that it can happen with any website at any time, that you will ever visit in your life. Press the Windows-Key on your keyboard and then type cmd and press the Enter key. Or right click the Start button and then click Command Prompt or alternatively Powershell. A black (cmd) or blue (powershell) window will open. Type tracert wiki.wargaming.net and then press the Enter key. It'll take a moment until it's done. What you see is the route your request takes to reach the Wiki page when you try to open it in your browser. Every new line is a server between you and the target server (wiki website), these servers are called hops. There can be only 2-3 or as many as 30+ hops before your request to open the website arrive at its destination. In the first few columns you see the time it took for this hop to process your request, add all together and you see how much lag you have to reach this website. If you see asterisk's in the route, then this means this hop has a timeout and can not process your request at this moment. In this case, after a few seconds, the request will search a new way on its own to reach the destination server. Once your request arrives, the server will answer your request and send the requested data. When you click any link, the whole thing start over again. Now, between your computer and destination are many hops and neither you nor WG has any influence on these servers at all. There is nothing either of you can do if there is a problem with the routing. Every computer find its own route and depending on your location this route is totally different from the next person. Heck, even request from your computer or your smartphone will have totally different routes. Let's come to the problem you have/had. Computer don't work with web addresses as we humans do, they work with numbers. This is why we type a web address name into the address bar and this request is sent to the DNS (Domain Name Server). This server is responsible for translating the human web address into a computer readable numeric value. If this DNS is down for whatever reason or faulty configured or records are invalid (this is the most likely case if single websites are not reachable) or the hamster fell off the wheel, then the DNS can not translate the web address into the numeric value and your request will never be sent into the internet. Your request to the website will not even reach the first hop, because there is no numeric address the server could process. It's like you write a mail but never click the send button. How is the recipient supposed to answer your mail, if you never send him a mail in first place? Changing the DNS will ensure that your human web address can be translated and the request is sent into the internet. This is also the reason why there is the option to add more than one DNS in your network settings, so your computer has a plan-B in case the first DNS sends a timeout. Public DNS (such as Cloudflare or Google, just to name two out of literally thousands out there) are usually much more widespread, more up to date and are much more reliable than those from local ISPs. Web Server are usually extremely reliable and if one seem to be down (website not reachable), it is usually one of the bazillion other factors involved that cause the trouble but not so much the target server itself. I hope this help you potatoes a little bit to understand how fricking complex a 'simple' website request is. This route thingy is also the reason for general lag, especially in games, because something similar happens there as well every time you click your mouse button. There is so much involved where neither you or the company that runs the game server has influence on. It's enough if your location is behind some crappy or slow gateway that belongs to your ISP or you are connected to a bad backbone that process request very slowly because lousy hardware was used and you lag like crazy in-game. Then you yell at the game server and the company behind it, but this fella can do absolutely nothing about it. Most of the time these problem get resolved all by themself. Service not reachable, damn. 5 minutes later a technician somewhere on the planet notice that he used a crossover network cable when he replaced the broken switch and quickly swaps it out and boom, magic, the service works again. In the meantime people rush to the forum, being upset because the game server is down -again- and bash the company behind the game server, as if they could influence which cable some random Joe 2000 miles away in a country that nobody can pronounce is using.
  13. Not a fan of these events in general, that's why i usually skip them no matter what the rewards are.

    Seriously?

What's their names? I need to know, that i can compliment the surface ship players when i see them in game and then report their CV division mate.

    Unwanted language bug

This was already reported in the current update section and forwarded to the devs because a lot of people seem to have this problem.

    Ports

What i REALLY would like to see is that WG finally fix the damn over the top high GPU usage in port, that some of the nice ports are actually usable without spending 5 bucks in power bill each month just to have a nice looking port. Imagine this with a new RTX 3090, this monster pulls 300W give or take compared to today's approximately 75W to 120W. It still boggles my mind. Until they fixed this crap i'm convinced that they mine cryptocurrency or do other crap on everyone's computer while in, supposedly, idle state of the game a.k.a. the port. As i wrote in another thread, it's either the malicious intent or an unbelievable incompetence of a billion+ dollar company.

    What WG have done right

    aaaand working on Submarines, right?!
  18. ThePurpleSmurf

Why did you do this, WG?

It's impressive how WG screw up literally every event or introduction of something new. I can not think of ANY occasion that went smooth without bugs or major screw-ups. It's mind-boggling how consistent they do it and they don't learn from mistakes of the past either. It's at a point where i don't know if it's still funny or just sad and pitiful.

  21. Which BB (or top3 BBs) has the most secondary guns that reload the fastest? Damage doesn't matter, it's just about the most hits in the shortest amount of time to farm hits/ribbons in Co-op. Cheers!
