This is one of the least things that give you better FPS. All it does is require less VRAM and as long as you have more than 2 GB on your graphics card there is zero reason to use anything but high quality textures. FPS killer in WoWs are: Sea rendering quality, Shadows, additional Reflections. Other settings with moderate negative FPS impact are MSAA, Foliage

That's some decent credits (no mission bonus credits) and potential damage for a Jean Bart. Also, a Paolo tried his little smoke-rush-torp trick on me but found out the hard way, that a BB with speed boost and reload boost is something he don't wanna mess with.

Depends on your settings and resolution. But a GTX 970 should not bottleneck WoWs at all as long as you don't run the game on all max settings with 8x AA and at 1440p.

This is the logging into the game in general and not what i mean. I mean the joining a battle (MM screen to the actual loading into the map) or leaving a battle, that the port takes ages to load.

There are a lot of good Youtuber out there, but whatever you do, whoever you find through search or whoever some people suggest to watch, do NEVER EVER watch Notser or Zoup if you look for quality content to actually learn stuff about the game. Both of them make sometimes entertaining videos, but both of them are fairly incompetent when it comes to game mechanics, understanding armor schemes, proper builds and so on. Also The Mighty Jingles is often hilarious to watch, but not suitable to properly learn the game. Highly recommended: Flamu (by far the best for new to advanced players), Flambass (often plays very risky and strats that only work when you are a really good player), MalteseKnight, TheSailingRobin, partially PotatoQuality (exceptionally good player but he is extremely BB biased and anything that doesn't suit his personal playstyle is talked bad)

When you don't pick, then at daily reset the game will pick one of the normal containers (credits, flags, resources) for you and with luck you can draw a Supercontainer, just as you can when manually picking containers. The game picks one random (of credits, flags, resources) container for the required amount of XP you have accumulated - so a maximum of 3 daily containers.

Nothing wrong with the US DDs. Looking at your stats reveal that you are just horrible with DDs in general. Your best DD is Kamikaze R, which is THE sealclubber in the game and people play it if they want to have a 75% WR in any ship, but you have only a 52% WR with it. Looking at all detail stats across your DD board i'd conclude that you are simply not a DD guy. You also have only 20% of your played games in DDs and you seem to be a BB main with almost 50% of your played games. The extremely low average damage in DDs also suggest that you simply play them wrong. So it's not the DD line's fault, it's the player IMO. You should stick to Cruisers and BBs, because you perform significantly better with them, at least compared to your DDs. But you are not wrong, the US DDs got powercrept by quite a bit and could need some form of buff. But knowing WG this will never happen.

Resetted all with the magic button the day it was available. Tested different ships and builds and resetted these captains again. Made sure that i've resetted every captain yesterday, except this french special captain who is specced for my Republique for randoms and JB for ranked. I'll probably leave all captains untrained for this patch to see what changes they make, if any at all. I don't play much nowadays so some ranked and maybe a few randoms is more than enough for me until next patch. If i should need something else for missions or such, then i use some low point or untrained commander in co-op. This is where i complete most missions anyway, when it comes to torps hit, secondary hit and other nonsense that would take ages in randoms.

Oh you see quite a few of them. You just need to watch some streams on Twitch, usually players from NA unicum clans, often use their WR or 'unicum' as stream title.

Don't worry, i'm confident they'll fix this soon™ because they monitor our feedback closely and our feedback and wishes are important to WG.

I'm really curious how it would affect the team kill and team damage statistics if friendly fire would count toward your damage dealt and therefore directly net you more credits, because credits is based on damage dealt. Could be fun field experiment as an april fools' day prank.

Just spotted a supertester in my last game, testing an IJN cruiser … … and then he sent his little friends across the map to harass the enemy DD in B cap … Look at the minimap, where the ship is and where his bombers are. Yeah, the DD in B didn't survied for very long. Just what the game needs in its current state, amirite?!

I think you misread the graphic. 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 Wins means you get 200 steel for each number, so a total of 1000 steel for 15 wins plus 200 for rank 1 and not a total of 400 for wins plus rank 1.

You know this is wishful thinking. Whenever they, WG, invested time and effort into something it was shoved down our throats, no matter how much we don't want it to be in the game. This will be no different from CVs, CV rework, Subs, SAP, stealth radar, Stalingrad, Smolensk, 95 knot torpedoes, and so on and on and on.

It's kinda funny that you are a Beta tester, so you know about this for at least 5 years as it's in the game since start and it start to bother you NOW?

I've certainly seen illegal bots in this game but there is not a single case where i could say with certainty that someone actually cheated in the sense of aimbot or wallhack or something like this.

Well, after the cv rework, other crap and commander skill rework my motivation is pretty low and i don't play very much, hence this was the first time i saw one in the wild.
