    Nice to see I am not crazy... you pay a ridiculous amount of money for early access for 'normal' ships.... Good I didn't do it. Ps. WG askes a price (admiral version) for which you can buy a total game like BF5 or total war and such.
  2. It's not just the Germans, they are ALL broken. You can't rely on them to finish off a 250 health DD at 7km. I have had manuals sec. on an Iowa at 7km and I would hit 2 secondaries per salvo in my Massa. And yes, it looks nice that they fire in all directions, and yes.. you get an occasional hit with the other side, bit overall, they are useless. It's a pity, I loved pushing , getting the extra fire, focussing 2 ships, one with main guns, one with sec. Unfortunately, they tested it and thought it was ok. They are probably not playing it but using spreadsheets.

    Secondaries fixed?

    In my fav, ship the Massa I am currently playing the game, who will get more hits at x km range, my primary guns or my secondary. And I can tell you, it is a close race. Even though secondaries shoot every 2.5 sec and have more barrels, they only win by a small margin. And the fact that the other side is now also firing secondaries is actually quite useless because they don't have -35% dispersion buff. So , it's nice I get the occasional 3-5 hits on the other side of my ship and I agree it looks good in the battle that that side also firers. HOWEVER, if I have to choose between the secondaries actually doing damage versus a nice visual I rather have that the SIDE that DOES matter gets some serious damage in LIKE BEFORE. ps. I have seen the AMAZING new visuals on the ships, they are truly great work my compliments! Since you made the action look so good, perhaps you can do something about the kiddy, space, Warhammer, and other non warship camo's?

    Did you know......

    I was just AFK (work called) and I hopped back in the game, only see to see 1% health DD torp me at very close range. He was within 1km of distance so I immediately set my manual secondaries on him. I kill him, he kills me. But... I had no service costs for ammunition!! Secondaries are FREE!!!! Could it be that that is why WG is making them so bad (conspiracy thinking)???? LOL And... even when a target is within 1km of your ship (so close his torps almost didn't arm), more than 80% of my secondaries missed (in the water behind the DD). My secondary gunners on my Massa really really need glasses.... :-)

    The German guns have been nerved and work OK now longer range but the GK guns still do their best work <15km range.

    I love pushing and brawling... such a pity that WG broke that game style and players are in favor of sniping midrange+ But I agree, those extra secondary fires & other damage don't work as well cause your sec. suck that means that extra edge is lost. I had my massage spec'd with IFHE and my sec. did 1000 damage a volley on cruisers. Wonderful if you push on concealed cruisers and they become visible and in range. I think that the noise caused by all the sec. hits had a positive effect on the stress level of the player being rushed. Even more when you have a sec. spec'd team mate :-). God I miss those games.

    Assists counted as kills

    A kill is a kill, the shot that sinks her, gets the win. Not if 5 ships shoot and 1 has 21% of the damage he gets it, that would be weird. It's not called an assist or kill steal, it's called a kill secure in the game :-) Ps. if the other one got the kill with his secondaries it means you were out of luck cause secondaries are really really broken. It also means he was so close his secondaries could finish it (in the current meta you have to be real close), that pretty aggressive brawling in my book and means he was actively taking damage to do this kill. What's next, you get the kill because you are taking all the damage allowing your teammate(s) to freely do the damage without being shot at? Giving them the opportunity to use more turrets as you are angling and tank?

    Secondaries definitely BROKEN

    Was in a game in my Massa with a tier 8 cruiser at 9,8km and he had 762 health. My secondaries could not finish him off, not 1 hit. 2 minutes later another cruiser (tier 7) attacks me, my main guns bring him down to 1000 health, he is on 1.2km and in 3 salvos my secondaries make ZERO damage. Before the patch, you could set your sec. on a ship and they would take care of it. Now.. you have NO clue if they will finish of the ship. 2 days ago i was angled at an IOWA at 7.9k and I hit him with 2-3 per salve, that used to be 5-6. The Meta is also fucked, where sometimes ships would follow you in or be close and make their shots count as you were focussed and pushed, they are now all 10+k behind you sniping doing for less damage. Flamy showed it in his video, you make more damage with plunging fire from 20k than on a broadside Russian BB 11-13k away. What does WG want, we all hang back shoot in turn cause that is cheaper to program? Kill off all dynamic play. They make us regrind our ship lines, now regrind captain XP, what's next, regrind your credits or convert XP? Regrind modules? Camo's, flags? Why don't they make another map or so? Change the scenery???

    So.. what did the 10.0 break?

    Here are some I could come up with: Secondaries are broken Brawling/pushing is broken Diverse gameplay is broken all the BBs have deadeye and want you to stay outside detection range so everyone hangs back (boring = broken) A lot of pay, coal and steel ships lost a lot of quality after the update Shirt range vessels are f*cked, like Goliath, Atlanta, anything with <17km range (fucked = broken) Ships with smoke (usually short range) are no longer functional (since everyone is the back snipping), think Mino, Smolensk, hipper, Belfast HE is broken, BBs are now so far back (out of detection range) that they repair their fire and stop shooting for a while till the repair is back up. Since people huddle up in the back, CV's have trouble finding a lonely BB (pref. bad AA ones like the Kurf who no longer push) BBs like the Shika and Yama hit even more like a truck. The yama has the Lengedairy upgrade WITH deadeye, massive range. Ships that like rocks to park against (Moskva) will be hit even harder with the deadeye skill when spotted. So taking a tactical position is very hard. That type of play is dead too. On the other hand, tier 7 has become MUCH more fun and the premiums of tier 7 are cheaper than 8-9-10, in 7 the secondaries still work. Probably won't be long that WG realises that people will be spending less to play with fun and since the can't fix the captains skill (they have committed to it like with the CV rework and that is still broken), so they will have to unlike tier 7 to get people to spend money on the higher tiers. And remember people... they also did a lot of development in the fun submarines, so they HAVE to commit to that as well....

    You know WG modus operandi.... It's like the CVs, they invested time and money, so now it has to go into the game. CVs were broken for months and months (and to some still are). The only thing they fixed with CVs is that the impact of a good player vs a bad CV playing in a game has less impact.

    I had a sec. built Yama (with manual sec.), 10.6 km, it was having 2 Atlanta's glued to each side. Any DD that got close and thought they were safe cause the turrets are slow on the Yama and thought they could get away with shooting and setting a fire or any other reason they would become visible... they had a serious problem if they were within 10.6 km. It is SUCH a pity that they broke is, now it had deadeye and legendary and hangs in the back.. snipe snipe snipe

    Secondaries broken pushing broken sniping only (=broken) deadeye kills tactical positions (like Moskva used to do) Short range ships (like goliath) broken ships in smoke (no one in range) broken sniping in the back in groups make it impossible for CVs to do damage Captains broken (1.2 mio extra to grind) to get equal or less to what you had before With the Dead Eye skill you REALLY don't want to be uptiered. If you are tier 8 with 66k hitpoints it only takes a few tier X BB salvo to finish you off if you now turn out and temp expose your broadside, dead eye increases the chance in a paddling (Jingles terminology) what else.....

    I disagree, my Tirp and Massa have been hit more than other ships in the new Meta, they have lost sec. effectiveness AND because there is no more AFT AA...

    My last game, a tier 8 cruiser, 1-1,5km away, 1000 health And my secondaries can't finish them off. A tier 9 cruiser, 762 health at 10km away can just sail off and survive not a secondary hit on him Hey WG, say again you didn't change much I have no idea where you want to take the game. But I assume ONLY long range spamming since secondaries are SERIOUSLY BROKEN!!!

    reset all skills at once

    Do you have a large number of Commanders and want to reset all their skills at once? Starting from January 21, after Update 0.10.0 is released for all regions, you'll find a link to a special page here where you can automatically reset all of your Commanders' skills free of charge. Does anyone know where this page is? they screwed up the autorespec of my Massachusetts, so better safe than sorry and reset all of them at once.

    well just respec'd my Massa and it was not easy. I had 1.2 mio captain xp ready to get it too 21. After upgrading to 21 points it's def. less. I have AR, PT and SI on it... so I went down 1 point. I wondering if after taking away AFT if my AA is still as good..... And my secondaries are def broken. I was on 7.9k away from an Iowa, not the smallest ship and I made 3 hits per salvo where that used to be around 6. And I know what they say. It now firers at other targets too.. but there were no others, I don't push on 3-5 ships at the same time, that's suicide. I am seriously beginning to think that they don't want the old guard players anymore in this game.

    Why play in the weekend?

    Hi, I am started to get more and more annoyed with playing WOW in the weekend. So often CVs get caught with their pants down, CV pushing on caps before they know if any radar cruisers are close. Ships with 60.000+ hitpoints dying within 3 min. Matches where an entire team doesn't come above a 1000 points? You know when the game starts usually with 1-2 minutes by the positioning of ships if it's going to be a fun game or not. having a premium account with 1 billion credit, I shoot so I am detected and sail straight to the enemy, die as fast as possible to start another game and hope this one is better. Anyone else shares this sentiment?

    I need steel but I hate ranked.... cruisers seem to not understand that the battles are fought within 10-13km... so if they are upfront.. they don't last long.

    PT 0.10.0 - Commander Skills Update

    They made some skills cheaper... the prize of a skill is not determined by the popularity, it should be prized by the value. And some low point skills are so cheap, but have so much value, it's just common sense to prize them higher, while some high prized skills are so expensive for so little value. You miss the point, the most common combination became 3 more expensive, while the gain for 2 extra points is 1.2 mio XP. That means you end after the upgrade on -1 This is called balancing. I mean, they can't make every skill cost more, they can only exchange some skills with their spot... xD If they want to balance stuff, try starting with giving tier 9-10 ships to not experienced played and fix CV play. Or perhaps nerv the russian ships? Or not come with a DD that can 40 torps? I predict, that brawler builds are now better than before. Just single target secondary fire will be weaker. -You can now fire at multiple targets with secondaries -You get faster reload for main guns -You get more torpedo protection well and probably more Ever heard of focus fire? I don't want my sec. to focus on 3-4-5 ships, I need them to focus on 1 to be able to finish it asap (a low health DD f.i.). That is while it's called manual. You don't push on 5 ships, perhaps 3. If you push on 5 you are dead. The fact your sec. distribute their damage over 5 ships is cute... but useless. What they should have done, is make the side that is aimed at the selected ship focus fire and have the OTHER side shoot something else (your multiple targets). THAT would be more realistic and useful. Or do you imagina that when a ship is doing a torp run on a BB the captain says, he guys, shoot on whatever you want.....? Or does he want ALL the guns to focus the most dangerous target? You will be able to reset skills for free. So just reset all your Captains and then test the skills only on some captains, instead to jsut skill all your captains immedeatly. As soon you get used to that, you can slowly skill the rest of your captains. That shouldn't be an issue... Just let most of your captains for a few weeks reseted. Dude, i have 60 tier 19 captains (on 60 of the 300 ships) trained for specific ships with their specific equipment. To be able to get them to back to almost their current level, I have to GRIND 1.2mio captain XP PER captain. To summarize: All my ships that have PT, AR and SI will be less than they were before. To get them close to their old level I have to play (GRIND) for 1.2 Mio captain XP. And yes, I can respec 300 ships for free, and yes captains can be spec'd for multiple ship type. But do you think I am waiting for that last functionality if all my captains are spec'd specifically for that ship? Do you think I want to grind for another 1.2 mio captain XP just to get them close to their previous level? Of course not... this new functionality is in NO way, ANY way an incentive to grind for 1.2 Mio x 60 = 72 Mio captain XP WG should, of course, upgrade ALL tier 19 captains to 21. But even then, it is a step back.
