  1. Hi All, I used my free XP to regrind the Russian DD line (I have close to 4 Mio). Why the Russians? It's the only line where I have just one ship, the Khaba. So It seemed a logical one to grind. I had to regrind from to Novik to the Storozhvoi and then up to the Khaba. For the Minsk I didn't require to get the B-Hull to get to the Taskent. It took me 707.990 Free XP to grind this line. Some of my clanmates, who do a regrind by playing, said proudly ;) that they were close to tier 8 already. In my case getting to tier VII was 140.990 free XP so getting to tier 7 is 'only' one-fifth of the way... they still have some way to go. 10k for free, 20k first grind, then each grind 10k. This way you need 4 regrinds to get to the Colbert 57.000 research points, in free XP 3.083.960. The next ship assuming the Ohio will be in the same Research points category will take you probably take you 6 grinds (even if you have 3.000 RP left from the Colbert). 6 grinds is a LOT of time or a LOT of free XP (4.25 Mio). Ps and then I am not counting the credits.

    Played 2 games, In port, no issue, then when I started a game twice (had to restart the game to get the sound back) the sounds starts making a cracky sound and then stops (I can listen to f.i. Youtube when the sound has stopped). Until update 8.7 my sound settings were on Ultra. After changing them to high I had a stable game.

    you can get your 1 win (99% guaranteed) in coop, so if you go the free XP way, why go into random battles?? I think these people are fighting up the line in the cheapest possible way, no extra modules, no camo, no flags. I wonder how they make their money if they lose a lot...
  5. Hi, Since the regrind, I have been meeting a lot of no camo ships, no premium consumables, no flags, not all modules developed. I check when we start and if my team has quite a few of those I know I get massacred. That can't be the idea behind the reset, can it?

  7. Hi, The lines are not equally long, the ships perhaps are less in XP, or fewer modules or hulls to research? Did anyone ever check that out?

    I had my sound settings on Ultra, 2 games in a row my sound stopped working (while I could listen to Youtube f.i.). After restarting it would work in port but within 1-2 minutes in a game it would start cracking up and stop completely. In the 3rd game I set my sound settings from Ultra to high and now the sound is working stable for 4 games. Conclusion: before 8.7 I could have Ultra settings, after 8.7 not anymore. I use motherbord sound of the ROG Maximus Formule IX, specs: Supreme FX S1220 Codec ESS ES9023P High Defenition DAC

    If you are close to the mountains, your shells go through the mountains but they don't do damage to the enemy ships. Very annoying when you play a cruiser and you want to position your self in the right place for lobbing shells.

    Well the OHIO is not just a nice ship, it's an extremely strong ship, maybe even a bit OP ship. To be competitive, you will want/need to have that ship... so you are forced to reset. RPs = Research Points On the other hand, Colbert is 57.000 RPs, that is 6 regrinds. it takes about a 1.2 Mio XP to regrind and you make 10.000 RPs per grind (and spend a crap load of credits). On the other hand, you get 12.500 RPs for 250.000. This seems a MUCH better deal?

    4+ lines you need to reset to research on of the new ships (like Ohio). 4+ lines equals about 5 Mio XP if you want to keep 2-3 ships and have to research modules for them 5 Mio XP equals approx. 200.000 doubloons 200.000 doubloons equals approx. 730 Euro How many games is 5 Mio XP? If you average a 1000 XP per game, that is 5000 games, average 15 min per game, play 75.000 minutes (1250 hours). My math must be off, right? This can't be....
  13. Why do non DD ships sail straight into a cap at the start of the game? Just had a guy with 55% win rate (which is good right?) sail into the cap in his Yamato with 2 DDs in it (they were radared) en 2 tier X BBs en 3 cruisers around it? He was gone in 2 minutes..... Same with the 20k XP in DD, so many 4 DD games, In so many times 3 DDs are gone in 5 minutes...
  14. It took me years to have all lines grinded (and Doubloons). No chance in HELL I am going to do that x times over to get 3 buffs, not even for 1 or 2 chips. What will happen to my Premium Ships that are not in a tech tree? They will get them for free? People paid, grinded, whatever for them and now they are outclassed? Imagine a tier X with all buffs meeting a tier VIII first grind? How fun will it be for such a ship to encounter a Conq or Kremlin on steroids? If this goes go on, I am out. I know they hope people will spend a gazillion doubloons to speed up the grind but my account will go dormant. Maybe I'll sell it on eBay or something and get some of my money back. We have a clan whatsapp and ALL veteran players that reacted said they would quit the game. I scrolled through feedback on Jingles (1600) and Flambass (900) but I could not find 1 positive feedback on the idea. But seeing they have the screens already.... My guess is they will say [edited]the player feedback... we will do it anyway cause they hope they will make money... a lot of money. I fear for them that this idea is SO bad, it will blow up in their face. We will have lost a nice game, they will lose their jobs.... a lose-lose situation. Just to be sure: #NO NTC
  15. Detonation It was gone for a while (turned of even i think), but I noticed (the hard way) that it's back. However, it is still broken: - I think I detonate to often (a WG trick to get you to buy the detonation flag?) - I detonate taking a torpedo on my BB's torpedo belt. That belt is made to catch the torpedo, how in the hell can I detonate? I purposely turn so it hits my BB's belt... As I recall, torpedoes explode outside the ship, the massive pressure creates an opening. Modern torpedoes create such a void under the ship it might even break. But the WW2 ones did not have that power. So technically speaking, I don't think your ship can't even detonate because of a torpedo. So: - To my knowledge, it's not correct to detonate because of a torpedo. - If you take a torpedo on your belt, you should certainly NOT detonate - I think I detonate to often (3 times in the last 7 days, yes I play a lot) I think they should turn it off again cause it is not working as it should.... what do you guys think?
  16. People will only regrind their favourite ship, it will be regrindend Kremlins and Conquerers and imagine those fighting a first time grind tier VIII ships? Took me years to get here and now suddenly my ships are degraded compared to others? My premiums don't have a tech tree, what happens to them? They get the boasts standard? If not, you have a serious problem, I bought them cause they were good. If you do, those are the only ones I will play. I am not going to re-re-re-re-re-re grind my ships. I'll be out of here finding a new game. I just posted this in the WhatsApp of my clan and every Veteran player said he would stop.

    How can you sit in a room with people, suggest this, and then the rest thinks... yeah... great idea. You will get Class 4 tier X ships fighting first grind tier VIII? I have all tier X ships no way in hell I am going to regrind all them. What will happen to my stand alone premium ships? They will also be massacred by their Class 4 counterparts. And... if they get all the buffs cause they are premium, then I will just play them and seal club away and not regrind. But probably I will deinstall the game.

    Hakuryu Tips

    Hi, On my Midway, I now to start my torp-run between 5.5 en 6km and drop the torps last moment and like 10m before the ship. If I catch a ship broadside, I very often get 6 torps hits in 1 run. My Rockets I start the run sometimes at 4.5km but also read people start it at 6.5 so the aiming circle is very small? Soon I will grind the Hakuryu, if anyone likes to share there experience on the torp drop & lead I would be very much appreciated. I also saw Notser do a multiple run on a stationary ship. With the 8k torp range, at what range do you start that run so you can throw the first set at exactly 8km?

    It's true they were less experienced, and because 70% of the aviators died. Experience was expensive.... I don't think inexperience was the main reason what made them miss though. Being attacked by fast zero's while you are slow and have to fly straight to drop torpedos make you an easy target. When Musashi was attacked he had no airplane support and being hit multiple times by bombs first and it probably didn't have too much AA left to defend itself when the torpedo planes came (and in the first assault a lot of the support ships (with AA) were already put out of action. It is hard to quantify the quality of the torping since the situation was so different.

    During WWII, how many sea battles have had carriers in them and how many have not? Fleets of countries consisted of hundreds - even 1000+ ships yet the large countries had only like 4-5 carriers. So thank you for making my point, in REAL BATTLE there were hardly any carriers. Currently, in the game, 60% of top tier games have CVs and lower tier that number is higher. Would it then not be logical to give players a CHOICE?

    My AA spec’d Montana was respected by CV’s. The bubble saved many ships. Now, with all AA modules, it can’t even fight of 3 incoming torpedo planes. I say you guys have more fixing to do than that. As long as a Grozovoi can shoot down 7-8 times more planes than a AA spec’d Montana who has like 20 times the AA guns something is seriously wrong. btw a broadside rocket attack from an Enterprise, thats serious DD harassment .....
