  1. The amount of coal is absurd, same as the Research bureau points. Replaying a branch for 10k and then make a ship 62k, regrind 7 times to get a ship (or 6 times when you get 1 off 20k). My guess is that you are running out of ideas or want to make more profit, so you want to make people play longer for the same things. Resulting in you will have to develop less, and that is less costs. I would LOVE to have the OHIO, I love the pushing secondary game. But no way in Hell I am going to regrind or spend TONS of Convert XP and then having to set up the line completely again. Such a pity you are pressuring players this way if they want these ships. I have played 12.500 games, spend quite some euro's on it for permanent camouflage. But 2 can play that game, you do this silly actions and I won't spend any money anymore....

    I never have problems and I have my FPS set to a 100 instead of 60. But this morning I crashed 2 x in 1 game.

    I crashed 2 times in 1 game this morning. I never crash. At least 2 teammates crashed too in-game. Of course, with 3 ships out of the game, it was a massacre. I have a premium account so I have plenty of credits, but I can understand for some people it's costly.

    Italian Arc - First part

    Djesus they seriously s*ck! Played my first few games in the Italian cruisers. No fire, range vs spotting sucks (no 10 skill capt. yet). Damage is very unpredictable. 3 times I used my smoke to run and shoot (1/3rd health), 3 times I am killed in my smoke (10-14k distance), so the smoke is clearly not working (read useless). Getting captains skills to 10 so you have a little more concealment is going to be such a pain in the [edited]that I wonder if I should even bother. I am trying to get the Genoa since it is premium but everyone says it is a mega bad ship for premium. So, let me capitulate your last big updates/plans: - CVs (bad, the torps are now so nerved I don't even avoid them anymore), uptier game reduces you to spotting mostly - Smolensk - Kremlin Very very OP, especially the Smolensk. Where the Italian cruisers have nothing, the Russians have it all, smoke, Hydro, fast reload, firestarters. low arc. - Research Bureau: 7 regrinds to get a ship, seriously.... whoever thought of that should go develop a new version of tictactoe since he may like doing the same thing over and over again but the rest of us don't - Submarines: fun for 5 min, then you realise that with 3 Subs, 3 DDs in the game there is will be frequent torps in the water and little damage to be done as a BB. Being a BB player that sucks. If you end up with 2 Subs left, the game will have to run to its end by time or points. - Italian line: worst line in the game by far, no fire, no speed, smoke is useless, reload poor. So we went from the most OP new ships to the must UP new ships. Guys, what is going on there? The game was Awesome, the only problem we had was that when a 1 team had a good CV player and the other one didn't, the game was done before it started. When we tried to fix that it went downhill from there. We are now torp spamming (Benham, Submarines, Yoshino, CVs) and gun spamming (Smolensk, Friesland, Colbert, Kleber, CVs), we are getting more and more arcade-like by the release.
  5. With the urge of WG to keep producing ships that increase in power via DPM, is it still fun to be in a tier 8 ship and encountering tier X OP ships? We already had ships you feared when being uptiered like the Yama and the Mino, but with the new tier X ships being released I absolutely DO NOT enjoy the game anymore when I up tiered. Encountering ships like the Kremlin, Smolensk, Stalingrad, Haregumo, Kleber, Yoshino, Colbert, Ohio, ships that outrange, outspot, outrun, outdamage you. The game really starts to suck big time being bottom tier and getting an arcade game experiences with the amount of daka daka or massive damage you take. And the matchmaking fix they did no long ago is simply not enough not to be annoyed. I know it's not good, but if I am in such a game, and the map is not good for cover, I try not to do it too conspicuous, but I yolo in so I can start another game without getting too many -1. Until 3-4 months ago, I loved the game, only game I played, I am now over 12.000 games but have recently installed EVE online and now I play 30% WOW and 70% Eve Online. I play for 3 containers so I get coal and my Clan gets 30 oil and I am done for the day. Sometimes I don't even make that anymore when I am uptiered too often. Of course, the weekend players and the Reseach Bureau (62.000 for the Ohio, seriously don't you know the effort that takes??) don't help.

    SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions

    My feedback: I played the beta version and must say they play not bad. Not fun enough for me to play with but hey.. perhaps others will. Personally, I like to fight it out instead of hiding it out. My feedback is: - it was fun to play them since they are new. - they have very little HP, 3 in a game and 3 DDs in a game and there is much less damage to farm in-game. - We had a game were only Submarines were left, on an entire map that meant they didn't see each other and it's quite hard (read impossible) to actively hunt&kill an enemy Sub when you are a Sub too so... we had to wait 5 min for the game to end.... - besides less damage to farm, with subs there even more torps in the water, 1 Shima is bad enough, add the Benham, ZAO, Yoshino and the CV's that can throw a lot of them. Being a BB is getting less and less fun (also because of Mino-Smolensk-Colbert). - in WWII subs fired and dived (run silent, run deep), here you have to keep looking and pinging. Bit silly, forget the ping, make the torps faster (DDs don't have to ping do they?). - Subs underwater are blind, subs fought in the open sea. WOW is 95% maps ful of islands, seeing nothing is annoying, I would not be surprised if every submarine start playing via the map a lot (like the old CV play) to avoid beaching. I know I did to avoid stuff while being submerged. After I played a few games in them in beta I switched to playing destroyers and cruisers as a practice how to kill them since I think I won't be playing them, they provide less interaction in the game, personally the fun was the new thing, now I played it, I decided I much rather play ships. I can imagine games with 7 submarines and DDs and if that starts to happen I doubt I will play a lot unless they grow the player amount to 15 or so. I must say, I feel a bit bad about this feedback. Why? Because I have been negative a while, first the CVs, then more and more daka daka ships (Smolensk, Colbert, Friesland, Kleber) entering the game, where the Smolensk is so OP that yesterday the enemy had a division of 3 and some just yolo'd in to get the game over with. And now the Subs are not my thing either. I am a BB player and all the new stuff so far has made gameplay less fun. I have actually started up a new game (Eve Online) cause WOW is giving me more frustration than fun. Sorry....

    I encountered a Division of 3 Smolensk the other day, of course, you don't need to ask which side won. BB's that normally sit and tank were running for their lives and the game was NO fun at all.

    Good discussion guys, thanks for the reactions. a little reaction on the yoshino, double steering module combined with its range, firechance and how precise it shoots. It’s almost impossible not to make at least a 100k damage. Actually the only ship that i will play in the center with so i can reach all caps to make fire.

    Same here, daily crashes, sometimes more often. A few times in-game, but also the end of the game when going back to port. Never had crashes ever in any previous versions that would force me to restart the game. Latest drivers, latest hardware, high-speed internet, updated W10 (64bit) version, did the WG check. I have played 12.000 battles and never had crashes, so I am not a newbie to the game. This really looks like it was introduced in the last update. Let's hope version 8.8 (anniversary release) which is released the 17th fixes it.

    True, it's either a Windows update or a WOW update, too many people with different hardware have it. I never had it till the last WOW update.

    Same here, I had 2 in 3 days. I also had clanmates that had them. And when you get back in the game, you read things like 'ship afk?' when you are not voluntary. I guess a lot of people will lose compliments this way. Running the latest drivers and very recent hardware (Als ROG stuff) so it is probably introduced in the last update, they did do some visual stuff upgrade. Maybe 8.8 will fix it.

    Flambass playes 5 games and 5 times reached 300k damage 5 times and over a 1000 shell hits. Something that is extremely high even for him, so if he claims it's OP combined with how dominant the ship can be when played well (my experience against it) I would agree.

    Because of the Minotaur arc that's completely useless, the Smolensk Arc is a little better to shoot at range... And when a BB is backing out you can pepper him a long time.

    Smolensk can park behind the same rock and can pepper you longer and further and is harder to dodge.... Watch Flambass's video, 300k damage in his first 5 games. In a kurf I have never been melted by a Cleveland... I have twice already by a Smolensk

    Yes beginning this year, since I can't go back in time.... doesn't help me for ships I haven't played. Due to a change, AA Mod1 has become useless on certain ships. To remove it for another Module I have to spend Gold. Yet, they offer me credits, I can't however get credits for ships I have played in the past 7 months. Is that customer friendly or not? They should allow to FREELY change the Module or automatically remove it for those ships, they have done that before. You could even say that it's a soft of theft, they made a module useless, now I have spend money to correct it. I never asked for this change, why should I pay to correct it?

    Smolensk does more hits per game than even a Minotaur, more hits is more fire chance. And it's range is much longer than a Minotaur. Tell me honestly... if those ships were shooting you. Would you not say: Preferably Cleveland (high arcs, easy to dodge), Chapayev, Minotaur (also high Arcs), Harugumo (short range) and last Smolensk. Smolensk has range/smoke/Low arcs (more hits)…….

    Now its useless... I want to take it off, it cost me 25 doubloons (Saipan)? NOT 250.000 Credits. I have more ships in that list... so I have to remove the all AA mod 1 for 25 gold a ship? I have 1 billion credits (yes really), why don't I get 25 doubloons which it actually cost to change it? Btw, because it was posted today, I didn't play the ships between 30th - 2nd (yesterday) so I don't even get a change to go get the credits? Well done, extremely customer friendly! I don't know how it is in Russia, but in Europe we treat our customers better. Now I HAVE spend gold and DONT get the credits. Amazing... truly amazing. Update: I had to spend 100 gold to fix this for 4 ships.

    Kurfurst, 108k health, just got melted by a Smolensk multiple firers... %^&*% the WG stats, it's ridiculous! First we had CV's that did so much damage and got massively nerved. Then we go the Russian BBs that citadelled from every angle Now we have the Smolensk that spams shells Next we will have the tier 9-10 French DDs that will spam Followed by the Friesland with the fastest guns in the game What do you mean we are going arcade style?

    Guys, Of course, this is massively OP ship. Every game I played where there was Smolensk BBs ran away fleeing the massive spam and getting citadelled by other ships in the process. There are 2 things that can happen: 1. BBs stay nose in, Smolensk melts them and ends up no1 in the statistics, 2. BB runs, other ships citadel them and shoot them in the rear or set the perm fire after they use repair because of Smolensk fire. In case no 2, Smolensk will not be no 1 of the list. But do they dominate the gameplay? Hell yes!! Why WG does this is also simple, it is not because it is Russian. WG wants us to spend our resources. So they make this ship SUPER OP. Everyone will want one (hell, I want 1) and then they will nerve it down 'legally' in the next 3 updates because everyone is complaining and it will become a Worcester with smoke and torps.
  25. Just encountered the Smolensk in the last 3 games and the spam that this ship pumps out, it's range and with the smoke is ridiculous. The ship is also quite small and very hard to hit. I saw it melt down a Yamato from cover. Is it me or is this ship ridiculously OP and therefore extremely dominant in the gameplay? I saw a youtube clip from Flamu and he had over 1000 hits a game and 300k damage and claimed it was his 5th game in a row like that. Of course, it can be a sneaky WG trick, first make this ship available, so OP everyone wants it and spends their coal. And then nerve it down in the next 2-3 upgrades to a normal ship. Also, compare this OP ship for 'just' 244.000 coal when an OHIO/Colbert takes 6 regrinds. It seems we lost some balance here.
