    Extra consumable for Yamato, and maybe Montana

    Let`s see the specialities of each T10 BB: GKF - Hydro, turtleback Conq - Super heal, retarded HE Republique - Speed boost, soft turtleback Montana - Super-Heavy AP (extremly effective plunging fire), and better pen angles (normalization) Yamato - Caliber that allows overmatching BB bows, best in tier accuracy. I`d say we`re good here.

    So I`m playing a lot of Longjiang recently, and had some trouble citadeling Friants, because they are just too thin. I started a test room to check what kind of angle i need to turn overpens (through Friant`s citadel ) into proper citadels. Apparently 105mm guns are just as good as Yamato on this tier And then some wierd crap happened - i switched to HE, but despite consistent penetrations through broadside i kept dealing 0 damage. So what the hell? I knew that if a shell hits secondary, AA gun, or other module it may be absorbed by said module, but flat broadside isn`t a module. 20180316_234232_PZSD102-Long-Jiang_33_new_tierra.wowsreplay

    Yeah, i figured out that i need either at least 40-50 deg. from flat broadside, or shoot straight through the glorious 6mm bow or stern to make some proper citadel damage. And it gets overmatched by literally everything except Tachibana. I guess the topic is covered.

    Scharnhorst, because it has torps, moves like a DD, and beats every DD with 350mm armor belt :P /OT Gadjah is the best gunboat, since you have both great, and reliable firepower (unlike Sims or Mahan with their rainbow arcs). It can also stay smoked up with next to no downtime between smokes - which is why it`s better than Leningrad that relies on it`s agility, and praying to RNGesus for survival. On the other hand if you want a torpboat I`d say Shiratsuyu, because it has way better concealment than Akatsuki, which despite being in "Torpedo focused DD branch" also has only one more torpedo, and no Torpedo Reload Boost available. And again at this thier IJN torps are the best torps.

    If you can`t aim you won`t hit *poopie* regardless of dispersion. And trust me if you can`t hit people in NC/Iowa/Montana, then it`s not the ship`s fault. Also no.

    This is exactly why i get rudder on cruisers with decent concealment. It gives you both better evasion, and more of a clear cut between safe, and unsafe area.

    So radar going through the islands can`t be fixed because of engine limitations? I doubt that. You can dynamically change concealment (this is how smoke works) You can detect whether a ship is in a line of sight (behind island) or not. (this is how spotting around islands work) So instead of doing a lazy "Radar sets your assured detection of ships to x" just make it set the concealment of any enemy ship within line of sight, and radar range to the range of said radar. Going even further this can be made by modifying current smoke code, so that it: -> Has no visual effect -> Affects only enemy ships in line of sight of radar source. -> Spawns "smoke puff" every 0.1 sec at location of radar source with 0.11s duration, and radius equal to radar range. -> Decreases rather than increases ship`s concealment. -> Overrides any smoke the target is already sitting in. Easy enough...

    TAM is mostly worthless, because it`s too situational. It can be useful if you want to rush smoke, but then again if you shoot you`ll be spotted anyway. Same for spotting - generally all ships can spot as far as they can shoot or further. And last but not least torpedo spotting is rather questionable, since it`s only really useful for IJN torps - all other have concealment so low, that if you are caught broadside against torps you are not dodging them anyway. On the other hand concealment mod is a must-have for DDs since being outspotted is a huge deal (except maybe khaba, and other russian gunboats). Same goes for CV`s. On cruisers i`m experimenting with rudder mod, since i find an ability to reliably dodge shells far more useful than the ability to sneak 1-1.5km closer to a cap, or disengage at slightly closer distance. Still it`s always Rudder, or Concealment. For BB`s TAM might be of some use (especially aforementioned IJN BBs), but considering that CM still provides dispersion debuff it`s still better at increasing survivability even if you are unable to disengage due to garbage concealment. And you should never be as close to anything in a BB so that TAM`s proxy spotting is actually useful.

    Yeah, but then if BB encounters such situation he`ll most certainly die, because once he`s flooding he won`t be evading any shots (because flooding slows you down), nor be able to disengage (because BB concealment isn`t always as godd as on Conq.)

    You do realise that reducing the number of DD`s in a battle will indirectly buff IJN DD`s since they`ll have more space to move around. Usually they are limited by enemy DDs that outgun them significantly. And if you buff IJN DDs your BB experience isn`t going to improve. Also follow those steps: Step 1: Git Step 2: Gut

    And you assume said DD won`t spot you back, and murderize you along with his allies? Or smoke himself up? This It`s one of Flamu`s videos i agree with (Unlike e.g. Asashio assesment), and i`m still wondering why such achievments aren`t a thing in this game. Technically "Clear Sky" is one of those "supportive" achievments done right, but good luck getting it against any decent CV player.

    Because you can`t tell that a line is garbage even through you brutalize it. Repeatedly. Also french accuracy OP, aka you can`t hit the broadside of a stationary Mogami at 5km. Also i`m wondering why Dunkerque is still in my port.
