Any elements of the community - be they in WG or the playerbase - that have a problem with the game operating on a level playing field are people that the game is better off without.

Or simply balanced them after the fact. WG could give the owners an additional ship with the original stats for use in PvE only, to relive the OP memories.

The note should say this, instead of giving the impression that Lepanto will be behind a paywall for the foreseeable future. and that's a good thing! The only problem with this is that WG hides balance changes to premium ships behind the flimsy 'global change' rationalisation instead of being forthright and explicitly stating that premium ships are subject to the same balance considerations as researchable tech tree ships, as is their duty as developers of a purportedly 'free to win' game.

Nitpick: the cashback is a percentage of cash purchases by recruits, passed to recruiters in the form of doubloons. We can say that flamu's recruits made purchases equal in value to 1.1 million doubloons, but not whether they bought doubloons in particular or if they spent any doubloons. At the risk of going off-topic, the current WoT crew system is a steaming pile of excrement and there have been calls for changes for years. That's not to say WoT's Crew 2.0 is all sunshine in its current form, but it does solve many problems such as having to grind for Sixth Sense, the negative implications of crew configurations changing through a line, <100% skill crews for F2Pers and crews only being useful for one vehicle at a time. The fact that they're actually doing real testing before implementing Crew 2.0 is also a good sign, compared to the WoWs skill rework.

I'm aware of the current effects of pink status. I suggest that exclusion from so-called 'Ranked' (bring back R1 flags (and API access to Ranked stats)) should be an additional effect of said status.

What's wrong with using the normal pink status for this purpose?

Older players will remember that WG expressed an intention to unify the game economies, meaning that premium currency, free XP and premium time earned in one game would be available to use in the others. The only aspects of this that were implemented, as far as I know, were the global premium account and the sharing of free XP between WoT and WoWp. I don't know of any other signs of WG pursuing the unified economy goal aside from those, and the implementation of the game-specific prem accounts serves as an implicit rejection of the concept, in the absence of any recent explicit statement from WG on the subject.

Yep you are right: the people that buy them are justification enough for WG. They need to offer more for me to buy one though.

Absolutely not true. In fact the announcement of Warships Prem proclaimed that WG Prem would continue to be available at the same price in the same currency. To quote:

Bit late at this point and I wouldn't be surprised if someone has mentioned this already, but it's a bit of a farce that free respecs have completely ended already. One patch of free-for-all resets is fair enough for players who are actively involved in the game right now, but anyone who is taking a break and not paying attention to the game news while this is happening is going to be completely screwed over if (reasonably big 'if') they ever come back to the game. It's not acceptable to expect players in that situation to spend money to respec all of their - potentially hundreds of - captains from their automatically WG-converted builds. If we could go back and do the conversion process again, it should have popped up as an option for players on their first login after the rework. The damage has been done at this stage though, so if WG decides to persist with this rework, they should make the the button for resetting all of a player's captains available again to those who have not used it already for at least the year following the implementation of the rework.

I've switched nothing. I've been reading dates for many years now and it's quite clear that the wallpaper in the article shows a number of dates on the 3rd of each month for months 1 to 31. The calendar below has a number of dates within the month of March, but the wallpaper image doesn't.

Salentine's search was not effective. The OP is complaining that he can't buy WG prem with doubs or gold. The linked article makes no mention of that change at all. In fact it advertises WG prem as continuing to be available for doubloons at the same rate as Warships prem.

Uh, you've done it again WG. The desktop image lists dates with months as high as 31. There are only 12 months in the year, you should sort out the guy making these things.

You should have paid closer attention then, because it was announced at the time. The option to buy WG prem with doubs was removed some time after Warships prem was introduced, unlike in WoT where the respective changes happened together. The announcement was less conspicuous than the one in WoT for this reason.

There are no CVs in this season. Where are the free captain re-specs, as there were in previous seasons CVs were excluded from?
