The dates on this calendar make sense

I find this mechanic very interesting. For a long time I've wished for a more sophisticated aiming system in WoWs and this is a significant move in that direction. If the bonus was switched from reload time to accuracy, this would have very interesting effects, particularly on the interaction between BBs and cruisers. If BBs had to make ranging shots to tighten their dispersion (from a less accurate baseline than current), it could give cruisers a lot more freedom to operate in open water and reduce the chances of getting dev struck at the start of the game. It would also open up a lot more options for balancing ships, similar to WoT, where there are a number of parameters relating to aiming for each tank and they are very relevant to each tank's performance. How ever WG goes forward with this idea, it's going to take a lot of fine tuning to get it right, so it's understandable why so many people in this thread are apprehensive about it, despite the potential for improving the game, given WG's track record.

Sceptical of a three-tier spread for Silver, but it doesn't matter because who would bother with Silver when you don't get a unique flag for doing anything after Bronze anyway. In general I'm glad they're spreading the Season of Sprints over more tiers. If there are ships that dominate or are over-represented, they should be balanced. Locking a huge portion of playable ships out of a potentially important game mode is not a suitable solution.

My advice is to hold on to your resources until they announce they're removing one of the ships you want or you have enough to buy all the ships you want. That way the risk of missing out on any is minimised. Hayate is not a ship I recommend hurrying towards.

For those of us who have already completed the KOTS collection, there's no reason to pick up any more KOTS containers, is there? We'll just get the tiny compensation for each additional element and no more T7 ship containers.

There's no unique flag for R1 (true R1: the rank that can not be exceeded), so it's a travesty to call this mode 'Ranked'. The only unique flag is available for reaching Bronze 1 once, so it should be no surprise that no one wants to play these Seasons of Sprints any further than that.

I've been in conversation with @Wiochi (developer of wows-numbers) and he tells me that API access to Ranked seasons has not returned. Has there been a change in plans?

I consider it in pretty poor taste to associate an independent nation with her former colonial occupier on her national day and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

My advice is to hold onto your coal until they announce which coal ship they're removing from the Armoury next, and buy whatever that is. If you have enough coal saved to buy the most expensive ship and something else, you can buy some ship that hasn't been announced to be removed with the coupon, just before it expires. That's the safest strategy to avoid missing anything.

A quick DDG search of 'wargaming legal head' brought me to the linkedin page of their Deputy General Counsel, who describes co-managing a 'legal team of 9'. Some follow up searches revealed their General Counsel and a few Senior Counsels. I don't know if you'd call that a 'huge team', but it's certainly not an area of the business that WG is neglecting, as you would hope for a company of their size.

No. The Ulitmate Mustang camo was initially awarded for ranking out a 7th time, before the implementation of Ranked Tokens (prev known as Copper). Those who ranked out a few times before the Tokens, but not enough for the camos, were compensated with Tokens at the time they were introduced. Not that there's anything to address: those who got Flint from ranking out or buying her for steel freely made an informed decision based on what was known at the time. If you buy Flint for coal now there's no reason you should be entitled to something else if someone should win her from a container or any other method in the future.

They'll have to figure out how to refund the guys who got Flint for Ranking out three times first.

Bronze League is the last one to award a unique flag, so it's no surprise that no one is interested in going any further than that. Mixed tiers allow for more ships to be used and therefore increase the variety in ships and tactics. It shouldn't have an effect on balance, because the MM strictly matches ship tiers. In the first Ranked season I played (real Ranked, granting an R1 flag that is; not the glorified Sprints we have now) the top bracket was T6/7 and the meta DD was T6, even with tier-blind MM, IIRC.

As much as I was happy to see WG subject to some amount of legal scrutiny, I don't think being required to change the ads only after the promotion ended counts as 'getting their asses kicked'.
