    I noticed in the Training Room yesterday that I could not bring my Fletcher to a complete stop either from moving ahead or moving astern. After setting the telegraph to 'stop', instead of staying at 0 kn, the speedo would read -0.2 kn or 0.2 kn respectively. I couldn't visually make out whether the ship was actually moving or not. Edit: I've also noticed that lighter ships colliding with heavier ones at an angle close to perpendicular results in the lighter ship bouncing off and being propelled backwards. Looks like they're made of rubber or something.

    You don't have to do the BB-exclusive tasks. Just do the other ones until you have enough pins if you don't want to play >T7 BBs.

    That's all well and good for the chosen ones with their preserved Minekaze of old. The rest of us dealing with Minekaze as 'adjusted for her new role' can still enjoy the slow reload and traverse, now in combination with shells that deal the same amount of damage as USN shells and… fire chance? What fire chance?

    New Japanese Destroyers

    IJN DDs are one of my favourite lines because their playstyle is so unique. There's a lot I could say about the changes in this patch, but I'll try to stick to those I've experienced directly. So far I've only tried the new Kagero. It absolutely feels like a step backwards from Fubuki (8). Leaving the issue of balance aside (I'm not saying either is more powerful than the other, OP or UP), the unique style of IJN gunplay has been completely ruined by the HE dmg nerf. Before, it was a little bit like being a 'heavy cruiser of destroyers': dmg/min was lower than others, but you could throw in a sneaky alpha strike here and there to throw USN DDs off their game. Where VMF DDs excel at fire/min, USN DD at HE dmg/min, IJN used to have the top alpha strike. Now their guns have nothing except stealth. What is that worth when hitting the target is so unrewarding? Sure, their reload has been buffed, but the poor IJN gun traverse - which was acceptable with the long reload - eats into their already unimpressive dmg/min. Why can't IJN guns be balanced at the same time as preserving a worthwhile unique feature? I haven't played either T6 ship yet, but I acutely remember the pain that was the Mutsuki (VI) stock grind. Why on Earth has that not been done away with? With usable torps hidden behind a hull upgrade, the T6s are completely unable to contribute usefully (I notice that WG considers Hatsuharu's guns competitive with those of USN and VMF - I have an open mind but I consider that unproven as yet). Aside from perhaps Fuso, no other ships are so downright punitive to play with stock modules. The solution for this is so obvious: just give the T6s torpedoes equivalent in performance to those of their respective predecessors from stock. Don't tell me this can't be done because it is inconsistent with their historical performance, it never stopped WG from 'balancing' Long Lances. So far these changes have done nothing but erode my confidence in the competence of those in charge of balancing the game.

    Generally speaking, I consider the compensation to have been quite generous. The only issues I have encountered are regarding the transfer of ship XP [edit: complaint below spoilered as it has been resolved following a support ticket] and captain specialisation from old Minekaze and the lack of an opportunity to re-spec captains for free. My Minekaze (old) captain is now specialised for Mutsuki (V). This is unsatisfactory as the two ships play differently and demand different captain skills in my opinion. Re-specialising him for Minekaze (new) for free would have been the ideal solution in this situation, but generally, a widespread change like the line split calls for a free captain skill reset. Without either of these solutions my only options for making this captain useful again require me to spend doubloons, which is not acceptable. Similarly, a friend of mine had trained a captain with Torpedo Acceleration for a Fubuki (VIII) equipped with 15 km torps. Kagero (VIII) does not have 15 km torps. Now he is faced either persisting with a captain skilled contrary to his playstyle or spending doubloons to remedy the situation. It is unfair that he has been put in that situation.

    Why no camo for ARP ships?

    No we don't: Atago trains IJN captains and earns more XP and credits. That's what you pay for when you buy a Premium ship and that's what Atago owners have that Takao owners don't. Following your logic, it's unfair on Prinz Eugen buyers that Hipper can use camo.

    RN CL smoke bug is still present. Testing in the training room today, I additionally managed to replicate by deploying smoke travelling at constant 1/2 ahead (16.1 kn).

    1. DescriptionTakao's captain points counter does not update when assigning skills 2. Reproduction steps 1. Obtain 10-point Takao captain from mission2. Send her to the reserve3. Assign skills 3. Result Skills are assigned but the 'Undistributed points' counter does not update, either on the skills screen or the captain tile. The option to redistribute points for doubloons is greyed-out. Once all points are used up, no more skills can be assigned, but the tooltip for skills not chosen still offers to 'Master this skill' instead of warning not enough points are available. Even after moving Takao back to a ship, the counter on her captain tile shows 10 undistributed points. 4. Expected result Skill point counter updates as skills are assigned and the 'Redistribute' button and skill tooltips reflect how many points are truly available. 5. Technical details Everything appears normal after disconnecting and reconnecting.

    Hovering over players on the scoreboard to show their name is useful (though I hope the scoreboard is redesigned soon to obviate this need), but this functionality should be added to the scoreboard on the results screen too.

    Loot Boxes Feedback

    The container interface is too clunky and requires too many clicks. It would be great if we could simply pre-select the type of container we wanted, go play our games, and then come back to the containers screen and open them all with one click. It would also be nice if the rewards didn't fade away after being opened. I'm tracking what I've earned on a spreadsheet, and often there isn't enough time to record what I've earned before they disappear.

    Sound

    Most of the ambient sounds are nice, but the radio chatter is distracting. We're conditioned to expect messages from other players when we hear the radio crackle, so when it represents literally just noise it's pretty jarring.

    General Feedback

    The 'Automatically switch camera between main battery mounts' is unnecessary and annoying. Worst of all, the setting to disable it does not work.
