Civil discussion and you had to add this. Superiority complex, Supertester.

Much less stealth fire (except a few dedicated boats, slow torps, easily avoidable with right Captain skills to spot, and rudder mod), I can see them sooner (ie they are spotted by teamplayers sooner, or they come closer etc), they seem to be getting closer before putting fishes in the sea, and subsequently, I find laying down HE damage to them easier because of it. Is it because of lack of CE? I'd think some if not all kept their 15 point Cap's. It is a few games, a small sample size if you will, will continue it the following days, but don't see anything changing much.

Well in that case, if you ever feel you need a whacky gun layout BB that's fast and lots of fun to play, give her a spin, you'll love her. Cheers

Some of the games lately, I think two were from earlier this week or last week, one was even from today. Not especially good games but most were victories, but Dunk has lots of those good games, on Random, and she's a beast on CoOp if you're into it. Never took her to Ranked, I don't think she'd fare well. I think she's a fine lady, and easy to get a decent to good game in. Maybe she doesn't work for your playstyle, I know my son doesn't like her and shares your opinion. fwiw, but then he likes brawling. I do better in Scharnhorst, but I still really love Dunkerque. Good hunting.

It does help, it makes it obvious how someone can take things out of aspect to validate one opinion. Got same thing in WoT, just toxic people making toxic community. Putting people down over a game, pixels, to make themselves validated more. Speaks loads about people making these posts to anyone mature enough. No one that's rude, putting people down and can't make a mature discussion, should get any respect, no matter how good are they at something. We are first and foremost people, behind the monitors. We all don't come from same countries or social situations, or have the time to deduct into the game. Some might not have enough capabilities to be as good as others. This is really the basic point. Despite his well-thought e-peen answer, that also is just his opinion. I'm average, in the 52-53 percent win rate, after a recent loosing streak, he is few percent higher, I guess that makes him bad as well? Or slightly less bad? But I digress, I don't judge other people on stats, doesn't tell the whole story - nor I believe people should measure having fun in a game based on numerics. I get it, it's validation for your opinion. But it's still an opinion and not fact, and an opinion I don't agree on. Let's once again go over, and this is really the last time. a) I stated it's my experience so far, yes it is a narrow one, I wrote it down in the first post, again if people only bothered reading. Opinions change, my current one is the line is nerfed, and it will get slight buffs, somewhere after German DDs. If I see them overperforming in the next weeks, then I'll gladly admit I was wrong, but my opinion based on the experience "so far" has been negative, and my experience from MMOs before tells me this will stay until after German DDs. b) I have stated numerous times that you don't have to have a ship to have an opinion about it, specially if you fight against it on a regular basis, and that thát opinion isn't invalid (I don't have to play Warspite to know exactly it's strentgh and weaknesses, and base my opinion of it and how to effectively fight it, or whether it is good or bad) c) I fought against them before, fought against them today, for the old ships - and I had a flick against the new DDs added as well, I *can* compare how the old ships were to fight against versus the new, and I have an easier time with them now d) I did check stats, although I never base my opinion of the ship on the stats (Dunkerque stats says the ship is bad, but the ship is excellent, in my opinion - as example). To me, HE damage nerf, slower gun turning and less speed for a destroyer is a nerf, specially the last thing. But what do I know, I'm just a bad BBaby. I'm actually quite satisfied with the changes, from my point of view. This is something you people don't get, I'm not crying that they been nerfed (which I do believe they have), I don't care, simply stating my opinion on a casual stroll on the forum, and get all the salts back for having an opinion. I kindly ask all to wait for the German DD and compare. Good hunting.
-
Thank you for your kind words. This is the kind of people that agree with Supertesters, that should say more about them then I can write down in a post. Good hunting.
-
Saying they have been nerfed and stating my opinion is not worse then you saying your opinion that they have been buffed. The only objective fact is that they have been changed, nothing more nothing else. As your post clearly shows, you seem to think your opinion, and it's just that, superior to mine because you're a supertester. Time and time again. Then you state me saying my opinion, which I am free to do as a free man, just annoys you to no end (as if I should care). Ask yourself why. Does it bother you because Im 57 and play the game and aren't some kiddo who competes to you? Does it bother you becose I'm not a supertester unlike you and I have my opinion and don't blindly follow yours? Does it bother you because I fight DDs and make my own experience based on it from a different point of view then yours? Does it bother you because I'm born as a German living in Croatia, and you're bothered by that? What exactly makes you believe my experience and opinion are in any way worse or less important then yours? What makes you think your esteemed opinion and point of view are superior to mine? Of course you will be speaking out against people like me because I'm openly stating my opinion which isn't yours and your ego can't swallow it. It's okay, Supertester. Obviously my opinion bothered you, so I do quite frankly think you need to deal with it. As already stated, I'm not bothered by your opinion, it's just that - an opinion, you're allowed to it, though unlike you, I don't think your opinion is any less valid then mine. I'm enjoying the game, and I have a decent amount of years under my belt to not be bothered by people that need to force their opinion to validate themselves - that by itself says alot about them, and say silly stuff like it things get stupid when someone states an opinion, or that someone looking from a different PoV is "absolutely nothing". Superiority complex, eh? I rest my case. Can't help the blind to see. Good hunting and hopefully meet you ingame in your DD.
-
No, I have no wish nor need to play DDs. I can, however (as I've very clearly stated in my post), fight against them. I love hunting DDs in fast BBs so I felt my experience, so far anyway, can add to the thread. I have never stated my experiences are objective, again you fail to completely read my post, or fully understand it. Or maybe you believe that opinions can be objective and not biased when, perhaps, come from a Supertester account? This is just an attempt at WG to make room for german DDs, and make them feel special just like they did to KM BBs, and Supertesters banding together against uneducated common pleb is just reinforcing this obvious fact. I'm not bothered, I'm way too old for company games, however, I can tell you that my experience from MMOs (ever since 2002) tells me the ships will stay the same, that people will complain they are underpowered (regardless of whether they are or aren't - they are at the very least different, and less effective), regardless what the specs tell you, and when german DDs hit, lots of people will switch to them, then a few small patches since then, WG will start slightly buffing IJN DDs. Good hunting.

Pocket Battleships were poor in engagements such as that. I've seen theorycrafting at another forum, between Deutschland-class and Prinz Eugen-class. The Deutschlands have an edge on long range, but on medium ranges, the spotting and target acquisition on the Prinz Eugen would offer a more accurate gunnery and would likely defeat the Deutschland. This of course all means nothing if there would be a lucky shot or two, so realistically the engagement could go either way. Likewise, that's Deutschlands against 8 inchers, when you scale down to 6 inchers you get bigger disparity, and bigger effective range difference, at the ranges the Deutschland would find comfortable, the 6 inchers would struggle to get a hit, and at these ranges the Deutschland's armor could make a difference (even if it is useless against 8 inchers) even if she would get hit. However, in terms of convoy raiding, the Deutschlands were superior to any pre-ww2 built cruiser, but were far surpassed by later designs. Strictly in game speaking, the datamining hint a very accurate guns (for what they are, BB guns, I'd still expect 8 inchers to be more accurate), with very good rate of fire, and a good concealment for a heavy cruiser. Drawbacks are slow speed for a heavy cruiser and belt armor which is citadel-able by any 8 inchers, basically. She'll be like Scharnhorst, a ship between two classes, lots of compromises that fit quite a peculiar playstyle. With only 6 barrels she will punish innacuracy, and with a thin belt armor she will punish lack of awareness, but I can see her going bow on until the opportunity shows itself, then wiggling her back and going for some citadels against other cruisers. DDs and BBs will love her, though.

The only few things Bayern is missing is good accuracy at long range shots, extended battery range and top speed, but you can see why it would be overpowered compared to everything else at a tier (and a tier higher). You get 15 inch guns, eight of them, with excellent AP, really good belt with turtleback and bow armor, decent range, pretty good secondary armament, decent speed, pretty good concealment, pretty good agility. In many retrospects, it sacrifices Warspite's top end accuracy for better armor and better brawling, otherwise a similar vessel, and in itself, is a better ship between the two. That said, the current meta is pretty campy and snipy. This is my only gripe with Scharnhorst as well, because at first two phases of the match, you're forced into a sniper role that neither feels very comfortable or very useful, and it can be frustrating to do any damage and score good hits at all with these ships. What this means is that the third phase you either didn't expose and have almost full HP bar and consumables, and are ready to brawl in and do your best, or you're weathered down by this time from the incessant sniping and long range AP shots, which do hit for a good amount thanks to relatively weak deck armor and knack to get the 33 percent pens at long ranges, and you struggle to make an impact on the game. On the flip side, going too aggressive at the start of the game, more often then not, ends in you at the bottom of the ocean. It's that balance between spotting a right opening and sliding in and brawling, and staying behind and doing some quasy support but surviving for later, that makes it so frustrating to play. In Scharnhorst case, you atleast have high top end speed, so you always have ability to slide in when you see an opening, with Bayern, you start but if you misjudge, you find yourself concentrated upon heavy fire, with no means of escape. I can see your frustration with the Bayern - it can struggle, thanks to its relatively low speed, to get into the favorable range for it's guns to start hitting. This is the same problem you will continue to face with all the following KM BBs, some more some less. Good hunting.

I'm not a DD jocket at all, but I can comment from what I've been able to see since the patch. Some people already had lots of free xp saved, obviously, because I've seen two new T7 IJN destroyers. Also, lots of old ones which have been low-tiered as well. I'm talking from T5 to T9, since this is where I'm playing. The Fujin and Kami-R are still very good, and just as good as they were, the rest of the ships are, however, nerfed, tier-by-tier they don't feel as strong to go against (in a fast BB) as they originally were. The new destroyers are a mixed bunchs, one of them I met was really slow, so slow in fact Iowa from our team had no problem running him down, it was a pretty sad sight for a BB to run over a DD. The rest I met had good concealment, but clumsy torps, and were HE spammers that I had no trouble destroying. Perhaps they're more useful against other DDs or CLs, that I cannot comment. All that said, my feelings are, that IJN DDs just got nerfed. I'm guessing it's to make big difference in playstyle when Kriegsmarine DDs arrive, soon?

Why, Mikasa beats them all! Statistics will tell you what ships are performing better then others in the same tier.

Sounds like a good plan. Steven has two versions of skills buffed, dubbed heroic skills. His first tier Expert Loader (-50% reload time when shell is switched) is on -75% instead. Likewise his second tier ability Expert Marksman (2.5 degrees a second turret traverse for smaller calibers up to 139 mm and 0.7 degrees per second for larger caliber weapons) is set on 3 degrees for smaller caliber and 1 degrees for larger caliber weapons. Not a huge boost, but the expert marksman is definitely very helpful in many ships, whereas Expert Loader is more situational.- 24 replies

Your perfect game and the "community perfect game"
BCHood replied to Fino_93's topic in General Discussion
I understood it's about current DD, and I still think it's too early to say, we should balance the IJN DDs when the new lines are out. I'm not putting a - or a + there as I believe it's too early. Also neutral, it's a good idea on some ships, bad idea on others, so no points there. Absolutely against both, when BBs are alone without escort they're already good fodder for a good CV Captain manual drops, with less AA and manouverability, they'd be easy game. Would certainly populate the CVs looking for imba "class" that can launch their planes from afar and decimate the targets on the other side of the map with little danger to themselves/planes. So, if at all possible, yes -2. Absolutely, there's nothing wrong with BBs, it's the CV that needs something special, not to overpower them, but to make them appealing. It's not that it's the weak class (T9/10 real example of the apex of the class), it's just that they're very little in numbers. They don't have any big theme (aside the obvious tactical overview of the RTS) going for them to make them really stand out, like BB do. Thank you very much. Also, a great thread. -
Could also be damage saturation, if the said part of the ship was hit repeatedly for a longer period of time, though sounds to me like a HE shell hitting the belt armor.
-
Have both, adore both. Excellent boats, both of them. Both love ruining cruiser's day and both do it pretty efficiently. Dunkerque has better pen values, and has all the guns upfront, obviously hinting that you should going full bow towards the target, it's immune to 14 inch rifles on her snout. She excells more as a support vessel and doesn't like being shot at because of relatively weak armor, she's more at home escorting BBs so the enemy can target them, and she's especially good at running over cruisers on flanks, she has the most amount of guns upfront on her tier, she never has to turn to bear her maximum firepower, the guns turn a dime, but ofcourse they never have to turn much since she'll always fire front. That said even in scarce moments when she is retreating, the guns have very wide arc and can fire even when the ship is even slightly angled. In my experience, long range shots are more accurate on the Dunkerque then on Scharnhorst but thanks to the fact 13 inchers have higher pen values, she'll overpen more often then Scharnie will. She has decent secondary armament but they're all situated on the second part of the ship and aft, you have to be giving very broad profile to your sides for them to engage, that said, once you get AFT, them destroying DD by themselves isn't unheard of. Her AA is abysmal at first, but the trick is her AA is dual purpose units, 130mm which are long range, getting manual AA boosts them considerably, also if you find yourself attracting the CVs and manual drops all too often (her rudder shift is high 14s stock, a rudder mod to bring it to 11ish is a must), use fighter instead of a spotter plane. She's the fastest at her tier, and only half a knot slower then Scharnhorst - that said, she accelerates and decelerates considerably quicker then Scharnhorst - Scharnie definitely need some time to start get going. She also has much smaller turn radius. Generally she can redeploy to other parts of the map even easier then Scharnie, and thanks to quicker deceleration, she's easier to stop and hide behind islands. She can kill other BBs at her own tier as long as they're not armed with 15 inchers, as she can reliable ricochet 14 inch shells from Fusos on her bow all day long. The USN and IJN ships will have to open their broadside a bit to bear all the guns on her and she can pummel them with her guns, citadels are often happening, as long as you know where to hit. Fuso is better hit directly belt at best, with the USN ship slightly above it, where she is thinner. At close ranges she can reliably penetrate any T6 BB to citadel except Bayern - I never got a citadel on a Bayern yet. Bayerns and Warspites are trickier, Warspite can be citadeled at 10 km and closer baring you hit them at the right place, but Warspites guns will ruin Dunkerque, lots of wiggling involved and some RNG, though I did manage victories. Bayern is a very tough nut to crack, and instead of using AP like on other BBs of her tier, use HE at any angle except direct broadside at ranges over 14 km - if you have selected AP from before and looking to fire to reload into HE, aim for the superstructure with your AP, generally you will do more damage then going for the belt. Use AP against all the cruisers, you can one or two salvo any cruiser it's own or a tier higher, only flamethrowers can damage you through HE as 8 inch guns ricochet on her snout. Thanks to her great gun handling, pretty forgiving accuracy (it's better then german BBs) and 28 sec reload, you can even use AP against DDs - I would do very similar damage with full AP salvo or full HE salvo against DD up to the point that, if I had AP selected from before, I wouldn't bother switching. Against CVs, HE is always good for keeping the planes down, but with good placement of shells, you can surprise them with some nasty citadels instead. It's not all roses though, she has a rather big, wide and high citadel on her side, showing the broadside is asking for a disaster, she can be as easily citadeled at T6 as Ishizuchi can be at T4, or rather 8 inch AP heavy cruisers that are close to you can citadel you. She cannot carry the flank at all, she's susceptible to fires about the same as Warspite, which is a lot, she cannot be hidden easily so need to take care at the beginning of the match when positioning, and last but not least, the whole going bow-on has the issue of going forward all the time, eventually you'll practicly proceed into yolo mode and find yourself getting shot from all sides, so have a good awereness of your surroundings and peek on the minimap often, also play with the speed, if there's no immediate danger of someone flanking you or CV drops or DDs because you're in your own territory, don't be affraid to slow down, or even go back, just don't fully stop. Scharnie has worse pen values, but much faster reload at 20 seconds, it can spew out more shells than pretty much any other BB at her tier, she also has 2/3 of her firepower front, so at times you will be playing it very similar to Dunkerque, and like the French lady, she also is immune to 14 inch shells upfront, and 15 and higher inch likewise won't ricochet and will do lots of damage. Because of her lots of compressed deck on relatively small height design and her deck armor and slopes, she gets lots of 33% shots, and thus she reliable gets shot for moderate damage. This can wear the HP bar quick if you're standing in the fire, specifically if more then one target is firing on her. Unlike the Dunk, she can carry although not as good as Dirpitz/Bismarck or even her own sister Gneisenau, but the major difference between the two is that Scharnie gets to be better the closer she is to the target, and while Dunkerque seem to peak her accuracy at about 11 km, and only do marginally better damage closer, Scharnie's accuracy on long range is considerably worse - her shots go all over the place, very RNG dependent, the thing is the closer she is to the enemy, the guns seem to be much more accurate and linearly do more damage. She can penetrate all T7 BBs at about 8 km range, but the angles play a big role to it. On long range artillery she's both inaccurate and wet noodlish in terms of damage against BBs to the extent to even call it frustating. At ranges over 14 km, it seems much better to aim for superstructure with AP on her then on the belt, though she can penetrate some ships with high citadels if shooting slightly above the thinner upper belt, good example is Kongo, even from moderately far, but at those ranges her accuracy is very RNG. On the other hand, she has no issues citadeling cruisers, as long as you aim correctly, on any angle except bow, from healthy distance of about 12ish km. She has modest firing chance and in reality, the guns seem to do much less fires per salvo then Dunkerque, nevertheless, she can bully bigger BBs at range with HE thanks to her fast reload speed. Likewise thanks to the same reload speed, she doesn't need to switch ammo most of the times against DDs, a full salvo landing will destroy it whatever the ammo is set at, and there's something else that Scharnie has going for her, really really well secondary weapons. Her AA is, imo, mediocre, nothing special, and this is the reason to use fighter plane on her as well, spotter plane is nice but at those extended ranges, she's way too inaccurate to be useful tactic. Her deck armor is decent, she doesn't like plunging fire from afar though she can still take heavy damage and float, the belt is very thick, and internal sloped turtleback gives additional protection. The citadel seems to be very low in water, very well protected, I've been shot at relatively close ranges (inside 7 km) with 16 inch guns, on practical broadside and wasn't citadeled, just shot for lots of damage. This can be used to get closer, where her 11 inch can penetrate heavy armors, where her secondary can rip apart the opponent, and where the heavier opponent is sure he can win and be surprised by her torpedoes. Scharnhorst has a much better carry potential, and can support yolo playstyle much better, also does more damage per game naturally, and is more self sufficient thanks to better armor and very well hidden citadel, but it has worse pen values and has to wiggle her aft to bring all guns to bear, she is balanced by her torpedoes, hinting she was always made to be in the thick of battle, and her very crazy fast reload. Dunkerque is a supporting and more exploitative ship, she is a better sniper of the two although neither is as good as other BBs of T6 and 7, she finds herself the most comfortable at medium ranges against cruisers and 14 inch BBs that she can punish with all of her glorious guns but recieve very little if at all damage in return, but as soon as a flank falls and enemy starts flanking herself, she cannot sustain herself nearly as good as Scharnie can, and once close to the target, she doesn't have nearly the same tools to repel the attack. Dunkerque is, imo, much harder ship to master, where awereness and positioning matter much more. Scharnhorst is more forgiving and more flexible playstyle-wise. You won't make a mistake going with either.

Your perfect game and the "community perfect game"
BCHood replied to Fino_93's topic in General Discussion
I'll bite, I'll just copy yours and add in brackets my opinion: DDs: +1 Buff DDs: (I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with DDs at this point) +1 Buff jap DDs: (We still haven't recieved the new sub-lines of the IJN DDs, and whilst we have the hard paper data, only testing them out will tell us if they're UP, OK or OP) +1 give ijn DDs their old torps (I'm neither against nor pro, if they can balance them out, why not, if it's gonna screw the balance, then please no, though it doesn't concern me personally, not a DD player) +1 Nerf DDs: +1 give defensive fire and HAS in separate slots (Again, I don't think there's anything inherentl wrong with DDs at the moment, they seem balanced) Cruisers: +1 Buff cruisers: (+1, a slight buff to survivability should accour, I recently proposed the avoidance buff to slightly screw the BB accuracy when cruiser is on full speed and/or zigzagging, it wouldn't be a huge difference, but it would help both make the game more realistic, and more rewarding to play the cruisers at higher tiers, lastly I don't think cruisers as a whole had such large citadels that made 80% of the length of the ship... should be cut into machinery and magazines and in between there shouldn't be a citadel space - at the moment with high enough cannon size, you can pen to citadel from all the angles, and this is lowering the quality of life for CL/CA players) +1 give defensive fire and HAS in separate slots (I'm neither against nor for this, some ships could benefit from this, others would be overpowered, it's not a full-line thing, more of a ship to ship choice) BBs: +2 Nerf BBs: (-1,I don't think there's anything wrong with BBs at the moment, except the fact so many players play them, but as the most iconic vessels, one shouldn't be surprised) +1 Nerf BBs AA (I don't think AA should be globally nerfed, it should be dialed back on some ships though) +1 Nerf BBs manouverability (absolutely not, BBs are moderately-engaging class now, they're too slow for a lot of people, if they'd be even more sluggish, I'd imagine a lot of players wouldn't play them, and since many of those play them for their iconic status I doubt said players would switch to CL/CA or DDs or CVs instead, so this choice would probably end in weaning numbers of BBs but sadly also players)Carriers: +1 Buff Carriers: (instead of buffing them outright, they should recieve something special that can turn the tide of the battle, such as a special consumable, but that they need to wait or "build" it as a resource throughout the battle, the idea here is to fix the issue that carriers were the most important force in WW2 but in this game are the least important class, except perhaps in very high tiers (9 and 10), pretty sure if they got more spotlight and would be needed tactically more, more and more people would try them out and play them, and this by itself would resolve the too-much-BBs issue) +1 Nerf AA: +1 nerf BBs AA +1 Nerf carriers: +1 Buff AA: (I don't think carriers should be nerfed, they're not the strongest class at the moment, see up) +1 give defensive fire and HAS in separate slots --- In general, I do believe the game is actually moving in the right direction. They should add splash damage, heavy seas/large weaves, enviromental or situational things to tip the tide for a certain class at that moment (or map), it would make the game more tactical and more engaging. Also, cruisers should enjoy smaller citadels and slightly less chances to be hit if they're playing good (ie not lemming-training full broadside to the enemy at 1/2 speed or backwards). They should also make CVs more prominent in their role, this would not only boost the numbers but also add tactical and teamwork aspect as well. DDs are fine at the moment, though lately abundant in numbers, it's only logical as there's less cruisers to hunt them down and more slow juicy battleships for them to hunt, with the more balanced numbers, the classes would feel more balanced as well. -
Ah that lovely detonation. I remember my first one. Had Myogi, start of the match, full throtle, going first, after few seconds, notice something coming towards the ship -- I wasn't even detected! Two shots hit the deck at a steep angle, BOOM, detonation and First Blood for the Kongo on the other side. He admitted in chat to just randomly use spotter plane and fire a salvo to max distance, only with his frontal guns. Couldn't believe it was even possible since I was sailing bow towards the center of the map. I learned something new that day. That's some crazy RNG for you... what were the odds? Smaller then getting a T8 premium in a Super Container, I'm sure. Needless to say, after that, I wasn't going in first guns-blazing.
-
For that someone saying KM BBs are cancer and the reason for snipers -- they're anything but. Their armor works better up close, and they get alot of 33% shots from far away, they actually survive longer mid-range then they do long-range, and they have either smaller number of guns or smaller caliber (or both) tier for tier compared to other nation's BBs, coupled with their high dispersion, they're the most inefficient snipers in the game. They're made for brawling and are a clear step forward to diminishing camping meta. Russian server quickly adapted, they have in your face brawling-o-rama, much more engaging play, where obviously KM BBs excell, on this server we're playing too cautiously, to the extent that one player in KM might want to push a flank but won't be supported, so he can either try yolo and delete a ship or even two if he's lucky and RNG is on his side, and then sink, or if he isn't just simply sink not doing anything constructive and go to port frustatingly, or he can go with the flow and do what every other BB in that match's doing, snipe, diminishing all the benefits his ship has, but but has a decent low-stress match. It's surprising how many people choose to go with the flow. The KM BBs were a step in the right direction but I think WG needs to do something else to entice the BBs to move their butts from the edges of the map into the fray.

As mentioned, the lovely Scharnhorst is afaik fastest reloading "BB". In general, Kriegsmarine battleships have the fastest reload tier for tier, notable exceptions are Fuso with 28 sec of IJN, and Dunkerque, also at 28 sec. Super accurate would be, imho anyway, Arizona for it's really lovely dispersion, Warspite because of it's inherent accurate guns and North Carolina I heard ever since the buff is really accurate. Soviet DD line has lovely heavy destroyers, or as I like to call them, light cruisers thinking they're destroyers, they're big they're fast and some have pretty good armament. The upcoming IJN split is suppose to have a dedicated short line of knife-fighting destroyers that excell at hunting other destroyers, or at the least that's how I understood it. Murmanks is absolutely worth the money, my son has it and it's a really fun ship to play, print credits. I'd say Tirpitz is a good money maker as well. For fun factor, the Scharnhorst and Dunkerque, although not as good money makers, are very unique and offer a playstyle no other ships directly do, and are tons of fun. If you're more into cruisers, I'd say Molotov is crazy fun and upcoming Graf Spee will definitely be a unique cruiser. Atlanta is one loco destroyer killer, it's sailing flamethrower, if you're into that playstyle there's no better ship. Mikhael Kutuzov and Atago are solid choices imo (although I never tried them personally, my son did) but are more usual and don't offer that much difference, although both are good credit printers. Steven mission is a mission to recruit a unique Commander that has two skills buffed, so it's worth to get it if only for that (incase you're not fan of Steven as an actor), but then it's currently sadly only for the USN, with some speculation it will eventually be able to switch to Soviet ships, mimicking the real life fact that Steven got full Russian (and Serbian) citizenship recently. I think this is really one time offer, though, so if you like it, now would be the only chance to get it. ARP ships are anime versions (just the textures on the same model) of the standard Japanese vessels in game, they're fine if you're into Anime, and want to collect them, and they technically count as premiums, but on the flipside, they cannot use camouflages which is imo a big drawback. And Tirpitz is a full fledged fast Battleship, unlike the Scharhorst -- there's much debate on how to classify the Scharnie, with everyone having their own opinion, in true England terms, she's not a Battlecruiser since her armor is BB grade but her guns are smaller caliber, the German WW1 usage of the word Battlecruiser describes her better, but then the same designation was obsolete in the era of fast Battleships such as WW2 was, to me she was always a bigger better version of the Deutschlands, faster and armored better she could raid with very little fear of getting damaged except against Her Majesty's heaviest units, all which were slower then she was - except the Mighty Hood, of course, for this I call her the pocket battleship as well, and I see her more as a big armored cruiser. However I wouldn't discount the Scharnie entirely, imo, it's more fun and unique ship to play, of the two, besides, by grinding KM BB line, you can get the Bismarck, which is imo, a better ship in the same class, once fully upgraded.- 24 replies

I actually really liked Myogi, it has really big guns for it's tier, it really punishes you if you can't aim, if you can, however, it can rack up several citadels per match. It's the ship that taught me how to aim, instead of prayin-and-sprayin. What above gentlemen said is all true, I found the best thing to keep about 9-10km if not focus fired, this is where Myogi's guns tend to reach good accuracy and have good pen values. It also has a nasty surprise when pursued, it can fire 2/3 of it's guns when running away, and it's really fast for it's tier (the only thing with similar speed is the Ishizuchi, that doesn't have it's range), you can glide in, get to 9 or 10 km or even closer if you're not being focused, when the enemy is engaged shooting at another target, and when the broadside is presented to you (very often thing at lower tiers), aim for the citadel and punish with high damage AP rounds. If you're spotted, make a turn and run away firing your aft guns. It's main prey is the squishy cruisers. The main enemy is the CVs, Myogi is sluggish in turns, despite it's top speed, and has a very long hull, and quite forgettable A.A, so if at all possible, don't go alone, as Myogi is slightly slower then cruisers, you can actually go with them in a pack. Now considering you made it to Kongo, which imo is an excellent ship - while sniping is obviously very viable and what some 90% of Kongos do, you can try repositioning at the start of the match so that you're with cruisers, ideally for Kongo I found she's a beast inside the 12 km from the target, and she can be surprisingly lasting when approaching targets bow-on. I think she's more efficient at this playstyle then sniping. Next stop is the Fuso, and if you love Myogi's and Kongo's guns you'll love Fuso, once fully upgraded it has Kongo's reach but 2 more turrets, from 8 to 12, and it has a reduction in reload speed as well, it can really put the hurt. Just be sure to get B Hull as soon as possible because without it it's a pretty poor vessel, with very low range.

Heya folks, I have a question and been wondering if someone can make a suggestion for me. I've been playing for a while and usually enjoying Tier 6 the most, and BB play. My main ship is the Dunkerque, and I also like to take Fuso into battles here-and-there. Now, I've accumulated some free experience, switching from ship xp that I got on my Dunkerque, to free XP instead, using doubloons. Now, I'd like to make a jump to something different then what I already got. I like both BB and CL/CA lines, I don't like DD playstyle, and I never honestly tried a CV. My highest tier cruiser is Konigsberg, much adore it's guns much hate it's lack of survivability, with the rest being okay in my opinion. I like the battlecruiser aspect of the gameplay because it tend to encompass both CA and BB, which is probably why I loved Kongo and why I actively play Dunkerque and enjoy her so much, basicly I like big guns and speed packed in the same package. I also like some survivability when angling (angled bow towards the main target), which is my main spite of the Konigsberg, that thing just keeps on getting citadeled from all the sides. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you.
