From what I can gather from Hans response and from WG posts, yes, they have decided to give all that hard work for free in the form of the gift to Supertesters, as intended from the start. Can the model be used in the future for other SoDaks? Yes I guess with changes. Is it currently being used? We don't have any proofs it is. Until said proof surfaces, we simply have no reason to believe we're getting another SoDak. Thus, for the time being, WG designed this particular ship model (Alabama) just for the Supertesters.

Honestly, for as much as I wanted the ship, I feel a little bad for Supertesters. WG put them in difficult position, they're getting something they deserved but everyone else wants to get it as well (I can't blame either group). I'm with you on the hype thing, perhaps if they tried to approach this thing on a little more sensible side, because it's the first such case in WoWs, things could've been a little bit better. I'd still expect people to rage though. What somehow irks me, and I guess it shouldn't, cause it does not concern me, is that not all STs gonna get her. I'd ask WG to reconsider. If she's destined to be special case, let all ST have her.

I clearly stated what are facts, it's a fact that next BB lines aren't going to be another USN BB line. Go read info from RU thread. Hence the word "not any time soon". That's not a speculation, it's a fact. Two years is not my speculation but a ballpark I so often read, hence why I clearly made obvious it's "maybe even two years", obvious speculation. Only WG knows exactly when USB BB line #2 is going out, but it's not next in line. Obvious troll is obvious, you cannot prove your claims (as they're figments of your imagination, wishful thinking) so you're desperate to troll someone. Again, derail as much as you like, pick apart any post I made, try hard to throw a discussion or a bone back, but you cannot change one simple fact: There's no other SoDak class ship in the works, theres no proof of otherwise. Whatever you say or do won't change that.

That fact alone, that STs get Alabama, proves nothing, except that STs get a really unique ship. Nothing more nothing less. Beyond that, everything else is an opinion or wishful thinking.

No, nor I stated it would take them two years. I said, SoDak herself comes with the second USN BB line, which is probably coming in two years. Awesome if sooner, but there's several lines having to come before it - they have two other navies besides Royal Navy to do, and I'm sure they'll add another destroyer or cruiser line or two before they add a second USN BB line. Again you're talking of something that you think can happen, but you're not providing any proof to your claim it's gonna happen. As long as there's no proof of it, it's just wishful thinking. Again, you're taking your opinion and presenting it as an obvious possibility - almost a fact, you think they won't devote resources to making one ship of class "only" for Supertesters, and again, simply, I am showing you the facts: They, as in WG, stated USS Alabama is Supertester only territory, and not even for every Supertester. That's what the facts are. We have a pretty good idea that SoDak herself will be added as an T8 BB in the second USN BB line, since she is, like the Bismarck (or Kongo, Fuso, Nagato, Yamato etc), name-carrier of the class (someone mentioned Gneisenau vs Scharnhorst but there's still debate who of the two is in fact classcarrier of the two, Gneisenau, if I'm not mistaken, was first to launch, and by German maritime traditions, should mean she is the classcarrier), and we know USN BBs aren't (sadly) next in line, there's atleast two other BB lines which are all but confirmed to be coming sooner, which are French BB line and Royal Navy BB line. As far as I am aware, they are currently working on some chinese/panasian and french ships, that's in the works. There is no proof WG will listen to the masses (no matter how strong I'd like them to, I want the SoDak as well!), and bow down and fixer-up a SoDak on the double from the Alabama. In fact, even if they did, it would be a shoddy work, and would send a wrong message to the players, something I believe WG isn't gonna do. Someone said WG isn't evil. Of course they're not, they're not a typical company, a typical company would never do this instead would turn to profits. Hansz said they care, and aren't greedy, and I do believe he's right about that, their decision to give away Alabama is clear example of it. ^With this stated in mind, coupled with clear lack of any evidence proving otherwise, the fact remains: USS Alabama is given only to Supertesters (and not all of them), and there's no proof another SoDak is getting in the game any time soon. In fact, no proof we will be getting any SoDak class premium at all (besides Alabama). So, until we get a word or a hint from WG, or some dataminer finds a goldmine, we should refrain of jumping on a hope wagon in a desperate attempts to making ourselves believe we are getting the ship we clearly are not.

You could be wrong as well. We wouldnt be having this discussion if WG at least hinted they're going to release another SoDak, because I'd be looking forward to that ship instead, and I'm sure a good portion of the disappointed players would be feeling the same way I would in that case. Problem is, as stated, there's no proof, no hints, no "words" out there that it's happening. Developing ships takes time, and they have priority things they're working on atm that they have to finish before jumping to new projects. Again, no proof it's gonna happen anytime soon. If you can provide me with good info from a good reliable source , I'll gladly change my opinion. But until then, I just don't see it happening any time soon. Precisely. Like I said before, WG just didn't think this through completely.

SoDak almost for sure comes with second line of USN BS, but who knows when, certainly not any time soon. Maybe even two years from now. There's not any kind of proof or hint from WG that they are planning another SoDak class ship premium in the meantime, so not getting one anytime soon either. And yes, if you're reading posts in this thread, Alabama is added specifically and only for STs, they didn't care to think about monetary aspect of the decision, and yes they designed a completely new model "purely for the sake of gifting it to the supertesters". No false hope here, just presented information from WG and Supertesters themselves. Why she's special? Lots and lots of US guys visited her since she's a museum ship plus she has a thick historical significance to them. For me, it's more the mixture of several things, a) she's the first non-turtle slow (ie non Standard) USN BB premium b) shes first SoDak class! c) shes imo superior to NoCal d) she's first USN Tier 8 BB (!), e) she's second Tier 8 premium BB in the game, right after Tirpitz, f) she's pretty (personal taste, I know, subjective), g)she has insane torpedo protection, h) she excells at bow tanking and I like that playstyle. When you mix up the fact she'll be given only to a small portion of players (as since not even all of the STs will get her), it's a big thing. Tbh, US forums are in flames, thread locks etc happening, here it's more a discussion based on the fact she's a ship of a specific class which will only be available to small percentage of people, not nearly as big fuss as over the pond.

I think it's the WG that didn't think things through. I know that for some Supertesters, having an opportunity to see things (and test them, of course) before the rest of us mortals is a reward onto itself, I know it would be for me. I have always been a proponent of the simple thinking that Supertesters practicly volunteer their time and thus they do a form of work for the company and they should be compensated by doubloons and/or free ships, alongside with perks such as unique camos, flags et cetera. This to me is fair compensation for the time and hard work ST puts into the game. In other words, they should get free things, as they earned them already, whereas the rest of us that didn't spend our time volunteering, would have to pay, supporting the game. I honestly would feel happy, if Supertesters had every premium and every non premium ship they 'review', given to them for free, it would feel fair to me. The way WG made it now, is that they split the playerbase. They further made it seem that being in a certain special club of players, nets you exclusive things, that the rest cannot attain, basically putting a certain portion of playerbase above the rest. I get why they did it, I just think it's not a good decision. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth. And this is coming from someone that isn't an American, obviously, and admittingly, not caring about the historical significance of the ship. On that alone, another post could be made, and I understand where the US players are coming from. What I *don't* get, and am flabbergasted about, is they further split the Supertesters into the "worthy" and "unworthy" category. If you've already split non STs, as not ever getting the ship, then why further splitting the Supertesters? I really fail to understand their agenda for this, what constitutes a reason for one ST getting it over the other?

Your "problem", per say, is that you allowed him to draw you into the discussion. Why'd you care if he's venting frustration? He was looking for reaction, and you gave him one. If you feel the need to report, by all means, just do it silently, don't advertise. That cuts off large majority of such situations, like team kills, maltreating on chat etc. The one good thing I've learned about the internet, is that people oft choose to portray themselves or act like they cannot in real life, even though they want to. That's the reason of so many internet know-it-alls, jacka$$es, yes-men and etc. It's so easy to hide behind anonimity, and vent your frustration, medicine your complexes and live out or force out situations you wish in real life but can't. I caught myself in similar situations so many times, I'm a real slow learner in some things, but eventually I figured out, some topics are just honeypots for people that are looking for a fight or to vent, etc. Sadly, religion is one of the top three of such topics (other include politics, sex/gender).

I really wanted to buy the ship so naturally Im sad. The whole debacle could have been averted if they released Alabama with Massachussets (Im sure I spelt that wrong), and even though USS Alabama is more famous (and a lovely museum, Im sure lots of peeps wanted to buy her after they saw her for real), that could help with the peeps that have been wanting SoDak for a long time. I do believe Supertesters deserve something for their time, personally Id give them selected ships for free and massive discounts for the other premiums, but I do really believe as things are now, we wont be getting another SoDak class anytime soon, that USS Alabama should have been regular premium ship. I dont really like a certain player group getting something very exclusive, it feels the same as father preffering one child over the other. So I definitely dont get WG in this instance. What I find ridiculous about the whole thing is that not even every Supertester gonna get her. Thats double-double standards.

Never felt Dunky was that accurate before, as you said, always felt shotgunny until 10 clicks, nothing changed accuracy wide, still feels teh same to me. Maybe just RNG trolling you.

I dont know, I really like her, I think shes a great ship. Im using secondary range booster, instead of accuracy, shes a fierce brawler. Shes an excellent cruiser hunter, but can still tank it out with the rest of BBs.
