I agree, I grinded my IJN BB line and that line taught me to play the game properly, to lead shots, to angle, to citadel hit, I'd definitely not ever fall into a trap of buying something I'm not ready for. I had my son wanting to buy me a Tirpitz (knowing how much a fan I am of Bismarck), as a gift, but I clearly refused, I simply wasn't ready for tier 8 - I got my first premium only after I felt comfortable at the same tier, I played Fuso at tier 6 before getting the Dunkerque, also a Tier 6. Then I wanted to try something else, seeing as I already had a Tier 5 cruiser, the Konigsberg of the KM which was another line I grinded, the jump to another Tier 5 cruiser (Furutaka in my case now, after the great help in this thread) wasn't really that big, I figured her out in first few games. The jury is still out if she's the better ship, I do believe she's more forgiving, but I am able to perform better in the Koni for now. My goal is definitely like yours, to first and foremost have fun and enjoy, which is reflected in my statistics, I am simply average. I am glad to see there are people that think like me on the matter. Some ships, though, even though they're higher tier, seem much easier then lower tier ships. Fuso in many respects, for example, is very comfortable ship to play and very easy one to perform good in. Truth, I never had smashingly good games in it as I had in Dunkerque, but then again I never had horrible games in her as well, whereas in Dunkerque half of them are like that. Fuso is very forgiving ship capable of much even in the inexperienced hands, or someone who's average, like myself. Kongo, even though a tier lower, required much better playing for me in regards to everything - map awereness, good positioning, better angling, better aiming, so in a sense itself is much harder ship to play, and a more stressing experience (although I admit it was more fun then Fuso). Though that aside, I do agree the higher the tier, the harder it gets. That fact alone limits me into tier 6 - familiar waters, where I'll stay for as long as I struggle. I've kept putting off CVs because I believe I might do terrible at them, but I may try them down the line, you're right I'll never know without trying, though I only know how to counter them with other classes - not how to play them or which nation of the two is the one better suited for a begineer in that class. Thank you very much for the input.

Hi all, Thank you kindly for all the nice suggestions! I am definitely more interested in cruiser lines at the moment, and reflecting many thing I was said here, decided to try out the IJN at first, and continue to Myoko, and in the same time try grinding the KM BB line, as it seems to be really good at the moment and most of you agree on it. I'm on Fruitytacos at the moment and immediately jumped to Hull C and 203mm guns, and I actually quite like the ship, she really ramps citadels easy. The only thing she's in a dire need of is bigger range, but she'd be a little overpowered in that case. Thank you once again for dedicating the time to help me. It's appreciated.

Richeliu/Jean Bart! (Better armed and armored oversized Dunk) Strasbourg (a T7 better armored Dunkerque) RM Andrea Doria! (One of the most beautiful warships ever built, imo) HMS Repulse/Renown (either one, the othrr can go techtree, beautiful vessels) HMS Rodnol/Nelsol (the game wont ever be the same after these armed tankers added! besides, I love all-forward armament as an design) HMS Dreadnought (do I need to say why?) HMS Lyon (another beautiful ship I love) USN Nevada (always was my favorite American vessel) That'd be my first 8, in that order.

Dunkerque isnt really a true fire spammer, while she has a high fire chance, she'll do more damage overall using AP on anything broadside and use HE only on heavily angled BBs, CVs (for obvious chance of fire to prevent plane launches, although with upcoming skill tree changes this won't be such good tactic) and DDs although because of close shot dispersion I have had as much success destroying DDs with AP as much as HE (fast reload helps). I tested pure AP usage of the ship as well as pure HE, and Dunk more then any other T6 Battleship needs to switch the ammo selection for optimal damage, imho it's not a set-and-forget like some other ships. That said I do agree with the rest, fire spam is an issue only when more then a single spammer targets you. It was a bigger thing when cruisers had larger numbers, nowadays in most games I play theres one or two max three cruisers per side, so HE at the noment isn't an issue as long as the meta favours BBs and DDs over cruisers in sheer numbers.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
BCHood replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
We started of underdogs but good teamplay allowed us the much needed win, and I talied a nice score and achievements as well. Wish we had these kinds of games more often. -
they can be scripted to act more closely to a real player, besides the can recieve buffs to give them the upper hand, in it's current state I agree Co-Op is much easier, but my point was that they should overhaul it, add objectives, waves of enemies, scenarios, ten vs one high tier boss ship etc. There's alot that can be done. In the current iteration, like I said, it's rewards should be different then Randoms, they should award camouflages, modules, consumables, flags and credits, their xp gain is already nerfed compares to Randoms so that's not a problem.

Edited replay video, the "company" selling it has a bad reputation, you can read it as well, if you look for it hard enough on modding forums, it doesn't work, they sell you non working exe, and if you try finding it for free you'll just get tons of malware or sent to those horrible survey sites. Like I told you, before there was aim assist that worked, it was originally rescripted from WoT and it's later iterations could even autofire for you, as far as I know, a mod or supertester figured it out and it was sent to devs - users of that mod which I won't name were banned and nowadays it simply doesn't work, again afaik. That all said was said to me by a long time friend who played the game from the start, and ever since I play which is somewhere beginning of this year ... there's no working hacks. That's all on the matter, everything else is, as far as Im concerned since theres no proof, urban legends.

I share opinion with principat and likewise, without hard proof it's just opinion. It's easy to jump to wrong assumptions when better people simply blow you up, but likewise I always could explain it and backstep it to my error or just superior play from the other side. That's as far as my input on the matter goes - the topic isn't going forward since there's no proof - we can argue about opinions until Kingdom Comes, but nothing will change here. That was enough for me, good hunting.

You may be correct in which case I am sorry for my claim, although I jumped to conclusion pretty much as VooDoo did, it's an example how people jump to conclusions without knowing all the info. Then again, I do admit when I'm wrong...
-
Wow you cannot proove your claim so you jump to name calling, that'll teach him and prove your point! I'm going to make a claim of my own. Check the starter of this topic's posts, then check Voodoo's style of writing, now check robihr, do you see something similar? VooDooZG probably standa for voodoo Zagreb, and people who start using sufixes like that use them further - then its robihr which could stand for Robi Hrvataska a local name for Croatia, which the capital city is... surprise, Zagreb. So why don't you simply stop posting through your alternative accounts and simply accept people won't ever believe you since you can't back the things you're saying?

I didnt see anyone accusing you of being a kid, we are simply telling you that in our experience there's simply no such hack used by a portion of the playerbase. I never said such hack does not exist - it does, but theres no proof it works, and theres simply no proof anyone is using it. You are free to make a claim, I make claims myself many times, but when people disagree with you, you either need to bring some proof or your claim is simply your opinion. Again there'a nothing wrong with opinion, and Ive found these forums to be much more open then lots of other games', which are plague compared to this one - here people have civilised discussions and are free to state their opinions and not get belated for that, but making claims without proofs will undoubtedly make people have a reaction, and not believe the claims until they're proven otherwise - this is normal human behaviour, this isn't some taboo subject, it's simply topic stating opinions and other players agreeing or disagreeing with it. I'm 52, been playing games ever since ZX Spectrum and have both sons who are IT Technicians and surpassed me in knowledge many times, that said, I do have many years of experience, as I've been playing MMOs since 2002, and I'm telling you, you're either playing very aggressively, constant with crappy team members or very unlucky, because m experience tells me there's no hack going about in the tiers I play. Good hunting.

Its pretty obvious when you stumble upon a new player that just bought a shiny new high tier premium (ie Derpitz) by his or her playstyle, and how easy to citadel them, how inaccurate are they, the degree they come towards you, how they rush forward etc, these players are inaccurate specially if youre bothering maneuvering your vessel. I understand your frustration, but youre making claims which are unsubstantiated. Instead of thinking they cheat, think how can you exploit the situation, if youre in a cruiser , what are you doing in open sea (other then in Ocean map of course)? You cant slug it out with them sluggers, of course while switching positions in a map you will be fired upon, so maneuver and never stop wsad-ing, and use island so you are minimising hits suffered, work with the team wait for someone to push one of the sides and then join and escort, always have a juicy BB friend near you if you are in the open.. ...really you don't need to aim the best to still kill and help carry your team, and the true trick is to stay alive for the third phase of the fight when both sides are opening, so risk less and support your guys, suddenly you'll figure youre not being focused and that you're not dying nearly as often as you do. You can take whatever I said for cruisers and battlecruisers as well. Even though aim assist was the thing before, theres no real proof it works for the client version, this coupled with whatever experience I have in the game I do, I feel I can say there's simply no hack in the games I play and never was.

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]

Got m first one yesterday, x250 Dragon (+333% Captain xp) flags, very happy with the gift! This was on try your luck roll. -
I mostly play T6, and thanks to the lovely new matchmaking (curse ye WG) in nine times out of ten, I end up with T7 and T8s. Like I said, cannot comment for really high level (9 and 10) but higher medium levels where I play definitely don't have cheaters.
-
Well she was placed in T6 as a cruiser but then so is Dunkerque (as a T6 BB) and that ship was not only superior in every possible way to Deutschlands, but many thought her to be even match for the Scharnhorsts. Putting both at T6 means either Dunk is underpowered, or Graf overpowered, and honestly Dunk feels pretty much where it should (sans main turret compartmentalization), which basically means they buffed Graf too much. It has better damage then Scharnhorsts (both are 11.1 inch), and better Sigma value as well, for example. In short, yes I agree she should have been T5.

Well there is aim assist mod (some careful googling will yield results) which as far as Im aware, is only being written by a small Ru team and is available only in russian for the current client, the english locale has been dropped. Now whether it works or is just a username/password bait like many other such tools from other MMOs, is another matter. All that said - claiming that forty percent of population is using a hacktool/bugtool is a little too big of a claim. Granted I do not really play high tiers, instead I feel more comfortable in higher mid tiers, and that is where I spend my gaming time playing in - so I cannot make claims about really high tiers, but I can definitely say that no one in tiers I actively play use any kind of hack. Some are great 'aimers' but all are thrown off balance by some clever usage of WASD and deccelerate/accelerate - and sure people blow me up, but in 99 percent of times it's because Im against 2 or more targets, or they caught me behind an island or dodging torps or on low health or I screwed up and showed my target-painted carton-thin belt armor, which is obviously my mistake, or just teamplay on opponentas part to force me for a maneuver that puts me in such position.
-
Tenryu, I know some people do wonders with one, but damn it was so frustrating for me I gave up of the whole IJN cruiser line.
-
A non-premium T5 or T6 ship of some historical importance but not enough to warrant a premium. That'd be ideal but I'd be happy with anything, as long is at low price of free. Whatever it is, hopefully it's not a grind otherwise I won't be able to get it since I spend that time of the year with ny sons and family.
-
likewise, I'd love more scenarios aa well, I play both Randoms and Co-Op, different modes both very enjoyable - Randoms is all about tactics and team play (which sadly missing lately) and Co-Op is all about Leeroy melee-distanced knife fights and less dynamic but faster battles, both can be fun and really enjoyable. Apples and Oranges. I'd love to see the rewards revised, but they shouldn't be on the same scale as Random, not because it's easier (since it doesn't have to be on higher settings if they ever add it) but because it doesn't require other players at the other side - but they should be rewarding other stuff, like low chances of difderent fun camos or ship modules and similar, would make more people try it and see it can also be fun way to play.

nope instead of Scharn I got Dunk and love her dearly, though Im reciprocating what friendly owners say for her main battery. Googling I got sigma value of Graf Spee which is 2.0 and it seems these cannons are gonna be more accurate then Scharn (I know sigma is only balancing value, but it seems to me the ships are gonna be very accurate in their range) while not overly high muzzle velocity, the shells seem to be doing more damage per shell then Scharnie's. I am guessing also balancing. Its gonna be interesting putting Dunkerque against one of Grafs, looking forward to that. Cheers -

Oh my! I wonder what the dispersion of those guns will be, mediocre like Scharnhorst or more cruiser levels. -
If they increased or removed the cap they would have to severely nerf the already small chance of supercontainers otherwise theyd be loosing money, I like the current system just as it is. The only thing differently they could do is add one 3k or so worth of container at every class (one for BBs, one for CAs etc) instead of current system which would improve playing across the classes and make the numbers a little more balanced, but to be honest Id still prefer the current system, theres simply no need to change something that is functioning good.
