I think what you're really asking for is matchmaking based on experience rather than tier level After all how are you supposed to grind a new line if you don't play the low tiers? Why shouldn't experienced players have fun in t2 mayhem? Similarly there's nothing stopping a new player grinding a captain with lots of points and not going up the tiers. You try taking your new t10 ship out with either a new 0pt captain or a retraining captain among the super unicorns and see how that goes! In other games the progression stops experienced and not so much playing together. Even this can be a challenge as often you reach the top experience threshold and then are exposed to super experienced players who have been at that level for years and years.

Oh yes they take it very seriously. Every time there' a report for poor playing there's an inquiry at WG where they watch the replay. People who are not very good get fined.

I think WG should strive for particular historical accuracy on this one. Wait until the subs are introduced, bring this in and make sure it always spawns right in front of an enemy sub.
