What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

First thing i did today was getting the Jean Bart. Yes, i still had more than a patch to get it, but since today, March 6th, is her launch day, i wanted to do it today. I put her captain in reserve, i'll use him on somehting else, for Jean Bart, i'll use my Normandie captain (which was my original Dunkerque captain). Lastly, i still have 105k coal. Happy Launch-day Jean Bart

New ships revealed - MN Champagne - USS F.D Roosevelt

Yeah, if i remember correctly the A-1 Skyraider could carry a payload greater than it's empty weight. There was an instance when a Skyraider took off with around 8.000 kg of payload. I have it on IL-2 1946 and the ammount of stuff you can put on it is just insane, even a toilet.

New ships revealed - MN Champagne - USS F.D Roosevelt

this is the quote from Wikipedia Design and development[edit] In 1939, Douglas designers Ed Heinemann and Bob Donovan began work on a VTB Proposal to replace the TBD Devastator torpedo bomber. In 1942, the team led by Heinemann and Donovan began work on a new project named the "Devastator II". On 31 October 1943, just four days after the new Midway class aircraft carriers were ordered into production, Douglas received a contract for two prototypes, designated TB2D, receiving the official name: "Skypirate".[1] The TB2D was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major driving contra-rotating propellers. Four torpedoes or an equivalent bomb load could be carried on underwing pylons. Defensive armament consisted of two 20 mm (.79 in) cannon in the wings and .50 in (12.7 mm) machine guns mounted in a power-operated dorsal turret.[2] Very large for a single-engined aircraft, the TB2D would have been the largest carrierborne aircraft at the time; it could carry four times the weapon load of the Grumman TBF Avenger. With only limited support from the US Navy, and facing a recommendation for cancellation on 20 May 1944 due to the aircraft being designed only for the CVB and CV9 carriers, the TB2D project was in peril even at the design and mockup stage.[3]

@jss78 @CptBarney @MacArthur92 @Palubarac @Panocek Guys, each "Skypirate" can carry 4 Torps. OMG. Look at the pylons.

New ships revealed - MN Champagne - USS F.D Roosevelt

@Crysantos @MrConway Why did you go for the TB2D "Skypirate" on F.D. Roosevelt? I mean, i know it was supposed to be on the Midway class, but not only was one of the ugliest aircraft ever built by Douglas, but it was also one of the worst aircraft ever built by Douglas, i just checked the performances and i understand why they cancelled it. Also, I hate to bring this up every time, but can you please switch the BTD and the Skyraider around on Midway, because i want to remind you guys that the BTD "Destroyer" (which was btw produced in a small series) was the predecessor to the Skyraider, and also, the Skyraider changed name 3 times: it was first named as BT2D-1, then AD and lastly A-1. So the Skyraider should come after the BTD Destroyer.

Watch Our Streams – Get Early Access Containers!

It should be the core concept of this f game, instead, it's just either give us your wallet, or get an handicap (i'll never forget what that PoS guy said during the PR fiasco) or don't get anything. In the last early access events i got lucky that i got something form each event, but even then, i would have liked if everyone got something. This kind of "luck streak" started back in August 2019, when i was in a very deserved vacation (here is you might wonder https://earth.google.com/web/@45.76087056,10.11498236,649.39426385a,1947.75070017d,35y,0h,0t,0r/data=Cj8aPRI3CiUweDQ3ODNkODBhMjg3MzUxYzE6MHg2MGNlYjE1NmVmZjE2MTBkKg5Db211bmUgZGkgWm9uZRgCIAE6AwoBMA?authuser=0 ) after passing my High School exams and i didn't played for like a month and a half; from like half July until Early September, only starting the game for when an update was released and for the Daily Shipments; just log in, get th shipment (whatever it is) and log out, but for the rest, i didn't played. I was luck and surprised that i got the Jaguar from one of the early access containers (i honestly sometimes forget that i have it). Then i was lucky enought to get Montecuccoli from one of the containers (non-premium), but i call national bias on this because i'm Italian; but still, there were players that no matter how much they played, they didn't get any ships. Lastly, i was able to get the Hawkins and Devonshire, but then again, there were some players that got nothing. P.S. I'm honestly starting to get f tired of these events; not tired of playing but i'm tired of these events; they are just the same f event, copy and pasted over and over and over again. I'm seriously getting tired of this.

    ST - armor-piercing rockets

@Crysantos @MrConway @Tanatoy I really don't know what to say about this, i'm almost speechless. The only thing that i see as an excuse is that AP HVARs exsisted, but that's it. Let me tell you one thing guys; i know that WoWS is not a simulator, it's an arcade, tho i do think it's something in between, an arcade with simplified simulator mechanics (there are modules, shell speed, air drag, exc.), but let me tell you this, aircraft launched rockets to s against ships, even cargo ships. Some time ago, i tried out, for testing purposes, in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, every aircraft rocket that i had against a lonenly and "average skill" Akizuki and it turns out that they did nothing; the only ones that were somewhat effective were the tiny tims (which i still have problems aiming) and surprise surprise, the tiny tims were actually designed as anti-ship rockets, but for the rest, that Akizuki went away like nothing happened. The only instance were i was able to sink a ship was in a mission at Yalta where it took half of my IL-2 flight (i had mine rearmed with RBS-132 instead of the -82s as they are more powerful) to sink a stationary cargo ship, nd we had to use the bombs that we were carring too. I know WoWS is not IL-2 1946, but i do think that this shows that aircraft launched rockets are just completely broken in WoWS. Lastly guys, it's already more than a f year that we've had the CV Rework, yet, you're still not done with it; please, stop it WG.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Forgot to take screenshots today , however, i had a pretty good Co-Op game in Georgia (i use Co-Ops for the third task of the Daily mission) and at the end of that game i said:"Georgia, i don't know why you do this, but you always bring a smile to my face ". She still holds my damage records for both Random at 164k and Co-Op at 224k
  10. I won't be able to get it, but if i would, i would put him on either a CV or a BB

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Taking out Fuso after a bit; not the most interesting game, but it was fun (especially after a game in a Zara that i still wonder how my team won, i sacrificed myself trying to defent the base and i don't know anything after because i went back to port and a Quit game in the New Mexico where half my team died in minutes and the enemy team still had all the ships, i just quitted and took out the Fuso); and this game was fun for a reason: the enemy Shokaku never went for me, except basically at the and of the game when i think he realised that i knew where it was (i knew it for like 15 minutes, but due to how the game was i couldn't do anything about it) and i was going for him. Only think i didn't liked was that i don't like to see that much difference in BaseXP values; i know how it works (and i'm sure that there is a certain victory multiplier), but i still think that you should get rewarded for your performance regardless of winning or losing; I'll make a suggestion about it shortly.

    Cunningham Tokens progression so far?

Hi guys, i'm at 482; i should finish the third directive today, only need 500k credits. I don't think i'll be able to get Cunningham but it's fine, i'll just use the tokens for the doubloons.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

This battle (a Co-Op, that was using for the Daily mission) was the absolute pinnacle of Dukerque gameplay; it felt like back to the Fields of Verdun. I do think that Dunkerque is one of the best Premiums you can get; you need to get used to her playstyle because she's a Battlecruiser and she has to be played like one (not as a Battleship, not as Cruiser, but as a Battlecruiser) but once you "find" that playstyle, Dunkerque, doesn't become OP, but she can be really stong.

Decent game in the La Galissonnière. Early in the game one of the enemy DDs tried to go directly for our CV, thankfully we were able to kill him before he killed our carrier. Oh, and i also got a rental Duke of York.

    Tirpitz is back!!!

On with the music. Btw, it also shows the relation between WG and it's community (WG being Q) HOnestly, i still belive that on a BB it's not worth to got for a Secondary build if you have to trade accuracy, as the main offense mean of a BB is the Main Battery; the only battleships that i think it's worth to go for a secondary build are Massa, Georgia and Ohio, as you don't trade accuracy. This is the build that i would run on Tirpitz, which is basically my Bismarck build (https://wowsft.com/ship?index=PGSB002&modules=11111&upgrades=114120&commander=PCW001&skills=2183218178&ar=100&flags=4035&consumables=221)

Successfully completed the "1.200 secondary hits" task after this Co-Op with Georgia; it took a bit, but with Georgia it's hell of fun farming Secondary Hits. Tho, at the next free captain respec i'll change AFT for Fire Prevention, those 2km more of range are a bit useless imo, i'll be fine with 9km (without the flag); this will be my new Georgia build (https://wowsft.com/ship?index=PASB729&modules=1111&upgrades=112122&commander=PCW001&skills=2184201218&ar=100&flags=4035&consumables=2222) Btw, that's the way, uh-huh uh-huh I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh.

    Testships - first impressions

Some fan facts about the Scharnhorst (and Gneisenau). 1 - In 1941 both Shcarnhorst and Gneisenau were outfitted with depth charges launchers 2 - It was actually Günther Lütjens the one who proposed to mount topredoes on the Scharnhorsts 3 - The topredo launchers mounted on Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were the ones taken from light crusiers: from the Leipzig for Gneisenau and from Nurnberg for Schranhorst (i've always wondered were those two torpedo launchers go when you get the C-hull on Nurnberg; it all makes sense now )

    Testships - first impressions

@IDS_RASPUTIN About the speed, i just checked and both Odin and Scharnhost do 30 knots without the Speed Flag, with speed flag they do 31,5 knots, maybe you have the speed flag on Scharnhorst but not on Odin. Btw, Gneisenau does 32 knots without the speed flag.

    Testships - first impressions

I mean, Jean Bart doesn't have the same HP has Alsace (Jean Bart has 69.000 HP while Alsace, fully upgraded, has 74.700 HP), but i've never heard anyone complain about it because i think we all know that it's an up-tiered Richelieu, and in fact, it has more HP than Richelieu (Richelieu, fully upgraded, has 63.700), which makes sense, yes, Jean Bart also has some gimmicks going for it, but the fact of having the least HP at tier 9 is justified by the fact that it's a Tier 8 hull, upgraded and uptiered. However, it has more HP than the other Tier 8 ships (French at least). The problem with Odin is that it has even less HP than its "one tier lower" counterpart; the Scharnhorst. Plus, Odin has less range than Scharn, tho it has better concealment (vice versa for the Scharnhorst), they have the same speed, the same torpedoes (even tho Odin has one more per launcher and they are mounted on the back), i don't really compare AA and secondaries as they are different ships, but only thing that Odin has more than Scharnhorst is Hydro, that's it.

    Testships - first impressions

It's what it should be, until you realize that it has less HP than Scharnhorst (Scharnhorst has 56.300 HP, while Odin has 52.800 HP)
