I suspect that youre underselling Richi just a tiny bit. Its speed boost can really help get guns on target, it never has to broadside, and putting a speed flag on Richelieu can amount to fun games. A spotter plane also means you are detected easier when you fire, and the elevated perspective is not easier for everyone. I admit Richi clicks more with me than other BB's, and I use it for strange things, like speed boosted ramming feints or passing past a wall of fish.

Sadly I know that if I want a teamplay game, I play a game that isn't the equivalent of dodgeball with classmates you dont like. The "teams" in WOWS are only there so that there is the facade of complementing ship classes, like cv's being protected by a wall of ships and aa ships helping dd's. On top of that...the situation is a bit different. Some people will still advance to find the enemy cv or get more accuracy on their guns. Divs usually play agressively.

After captain rework we are promised 21 points, so who knows. Or we get new meta BB captain skills and it is as you say, just with 21 points.

If you still have vestige doubts about charging in, maybe consider the RPF skill, or for extreme contrarians like me, Vigilance.

I'd take it for the chance I am bottom tier and dont want to be at ranges from my top tier enemies where they can broadside salvo me without much lead. If I use it, I make sure too have cover nearby or when the reds nearby are shooting at my allies. If the alternatiive in the slot is a fighter plane, the spotter is just a tiny bit more useful.

Grinding coal without the clan bonus is a bit of a waste. If you play BB's sometimes a speed or anti-burn flag is useful, but if you dont play them a lot you get by with the rewards from missions.

Play at night when you have more casual players and smaller teams. Use a fire flag which wont increase the chance much, but a bit.

Shows you never have been a teacher. One teammate who isnt stellar but cooperates/listens when he is in a div will be less of a detriment to your team. You can be, wr is quite malleable by playing at night, whaling, divisioning, stacking mod packs, and so on. In my last night battle I decided the battle in under 10 minutes, despite my wr not currently being 50%+.
