What's the play on Kurfurst vs. 20km soup
rimmer_the replied to Itwastuesday's topic in General Discussion
tl;dr. In any case "the better" dd player will not target his victim all the time as to not give a big fat warning sign that the BB is about to be torped. -
I was banned for a week for snapping when I saw yet another Thunderer being blueline artillery and disciplined him. No regrets...

rimmer_the replied to Itwastuesday's topic in General Discussion
Not really a mistake, dd concealment is such that they do get hits on you, whether it is cyclones, them speed boosting towards you, etc. As they have infinite torps they can just keep trying until they get a hit. -
We get this thread every week bc people still do the comga suicide line every week...

dropping torps directly behind the coast aka BS CV mechanics
rimmer_the replied to IGL's topic in General Discussion
This is annoying but it is also very statisfying to see island campers trying to lure you into their allies guns being bombed. -

any closer and you have the risk of running aground. -

Unfortunately you cant escape from the clutches of Windows if you want to play most games. But save a bit and buy a pc with windows already installed., second hand or not. -
resource spend, what ship ? new resource ship?
rimmer_the replied to BMARC_'s topic in General Discussion
I must say I am dissapointed at WG for slapping it on a non-french BB as a selling point. So much for a unique national characteristic. -
Probably they think they are large enough, and larger maps would benefit cv's and hamper slower ships even more.
-
How would those ships play in terms of maneuverability, speed and accuracy ? If the answer is: worse then a post-dreadnought BB, then I agree with WG. The only good thing would be: no cv's.
-
Are they also the majority in terms of how much they buy ? I guess not. And that is the only thing that interests WG.
-
Indeed, my money will not be going to snowflakes. A bitter surprise to see the politically correct virus has reached even Minsk.

As for the economy, he just needs some advice how to improve his income. As for the tier 8 ship, maybe I'm a little too optimistic, contrary to what Newman alleges.
-
Because some of you are harping on about how he isnt allowed to buy a high tier bc he wouldnt know to play it. And I say the FIRST battles on Coop, one or two to get a feel for a ship, a exercise that would cost all of 5 minutes for one battle. There are better solutions than just bluntly gatekeep a new player. As for the captain rework, how many of you will stop playing just because of it ? How many? I thought so. The captain rework can'hardly be that disastrous that it alone will make him stop playing, and I've seen no signs so far of the rework goning all the wrong way.

The malady here, as in many cases, is, they can but they won't. (Not talking about my current excellent clan but all past experiences with TS). Apart from that it is exceedingly rare to find people with true radio discipline who dont talk through each other. Edit:Seychelles ? Really, that's rare. You live in a very interesting place.

With TS there are many problems like people not being aware or able to filter out background noise. Apart from the question: does YT play CB ?

Looking for the fastest way to grind that new campaign. I have a UK, Russian and French captain in reserve, so I would prefer one of those.
-
If you read a text, do you always only read 2/3 of it ? He wouldnt be playing alone. And do you suffer from such intense tunnelvision that you didnt think of Coop for the first games ? Too bad even this game has its share of vey close-minded players.

It would only promote drifting futher away from the original argument of cv's, as it has already. A tried tactic who cant win a debate and then jump to some other topic. Additionally why put me through that much effort ? Wat's true is true. I'm done with bored lonlely trolls who keep demanding my attention and time. Luckily there are parts of this community who are mature and sensible, and I know where to find them -

And yet you cant understand that ships dont have to stay with a 5-7 km range of each other to be "safe" Time and time again you and him can only come up with ad hominems to disqualify any criticism of the cv hate because "you are the skilled players with a basic understanding of the game Mechanics." At the same time you have problems fighting cv's, I do not. Who then is more skilled, and has more understanding of basic game mechanics ? pretty obvious. -
Buy a high tier, it will help get more xp, free xp, and youll need it for many campaigns. Dont listen to gatekeepers and elitists who decide what you can and cant do. The high tier premium ship you like most wont necessarly stay in the shop for long. In the end its mostly a islandcamping waiting game more than skill. As a mid tier you will almost without exception have very weak aa, and you dont want that. As for experience, you can fast track it anyway by playing with someone else. I would b happy to help.

Youre just posting in bad faith because you cant admit Youre wrong. Did I say "lemming train" ? No. But you twist my words and exaggerate so you can still pretend you have somewhat of a counterargument. That is called a strawman fallacy and it's sad. But please, do isolate yourself when you are on the opposite team from me, dont teamplay, dont win a flank with force of numbers. It will just give me a easy victory. -

The proof are the games where one team works/sails together and works together. I have seen thousands of those games, and the team that works together has better chances of winning. But I would be happy with a disable/enable cv games button so we can leave this caustic discussion behind us, I can enjoy my cv games, and yáll can enjoy your two-dimensional games sans cv's. -

It isn't. Your just misquoting me. His assumption is false to begin with, there is no loss of freedom, except maybe in your and his mind. I still go anywhere on the map where I want to go in a cv game. Bombers also being less annoying than radar and stealth scouts because you have no advance warning of the latter. But even if the players with cv phobia are so impolite in a discussion, I'd gladly take all their cv games so they have less.
