theres a good topic on the world of tanks forum calling for a global server... especially with diminishing playerbase just an opinion for positive constructive discussion: isn't it about time to join the big leagues like other mmo's??? if other mmo's can, why cannot wg? re latency, lag and ping: other mmo's manage this with np steam manages this for decades already wg can always give the option to join a multi-regional server, while also keep the options for regional servers .. so the players can choose. wg have been advertising this since they commenced.... it should be easy; segregating regions and player populations is foolish , unfair, and self defeating for game growth and sustainability ... its ridiculous that we cannot play with friends worldwide, unless you dl different regional clients for each this is so out moded and impractical ? all players eg from Africa who do not have a server at all would support this. people who move and travel a lot for work or study etc. would support this players with friends around the world would support this. all my recruits and most friends that have tried wg have quit because it excludes some... we play mmo's on steam, no matter where, or what time zone... and the latency is actial'ly even better than the segregated wg regional server. wg its a globalized twentyfirst century world already other sustainable MMOs have used global servers or eg. the steam platform for years already the competition, wt, uses a cross platform server too ...) the naval battles across regions shows how easy this could be if other MMOs can, surely wg can manage it seemed it would be so easy to have one client and one portfolio , and then choose the global server but keep a regional server option

IMHO for casual players.. and new players: is it logical you can grind two commanders in campaigns, but not the others? is it fair to ALL players that you can only get the : opportunity to grind the other two IF you can do an event: what if players cannot participate in a once-off ;event; because of work or whatever - is it fair that casual and new players miss out ? walling them behind once off events is very short sighted by wg. it makes it kinda unfair for new and casual players. Now casual and new players have to try compete with the others who have the leg. captains.. do wg realise: this makes people stop or avoid those factions where the leg capt is unobtainable (in past event, or because overpriced) eg. USSR or frg - deutsch factions altogether, and go for factions where you can get a leg capt for free... have stopped playing USSR and doesn't seem even an event to get the german leg capt at all??? this is actually a kind of discrimination against that faction, isn't it? most casual and new players would prob. prefer to get a (non USSR, FRG) ship for coal than the extortionate cost of the walled leg. capt's. using a REASONABLE amount of free XP or else doubloons would be better. else campaigns or even collections are actually fun and always available. make getting leg. capt,s FAIR for all ; keep all factions equal.... ???

Constructive simple discussion and checklist of the issues wg must / should consider now prioritise to fix, for the good survivability and sustainablility of the game and the good of the playerbase community. Imho following are obvious to consider: i cv re-rework upheaval, ..... i.i Bring back some skill and tactics or go on dumbing down to arcadey pac-man gamestyle. ii balance (ship and now plane classes, ammo types and characteristics eg ifhe, etc.) iii loss of players and lack of new recruits or decline of playerbase population iv ntc aka rb v dockyard vi regional segregation, and separation, bizarre for a modern worldwide MMO. Inability to play with global friends anytime anywhere, unlike most any other game. vii no global server option (nor single global account, as advertised and promised, like any other MMO , eg on steam). viii continually excluding continents, eg especially Africa ix submarines x simplifying so many in game currencies or 'tokens' xi matchmaking ..(?) xii UI improvements and QoL improvements, eg friends list xiii more maps xiv) more modes (?) xv) operations xvi) make great events like hunt for Bismarck, or the Dunkirk campaign permanent, and available to new players xvii) better tutorials xviii) ranked mode(s) xix) clans & clan wars xx) power creep, op / new premiums, modernise tired out dated lines. Please add to the checklist or constructive positive suggestions and comments to encourage improvements and change.

Yep Wows so stubbornly obsessed with grinding And with biases to unicums, instead of incentives attracting new players to grow the playerbase., or casual players to be a bit competitive against the best players with their boosts. Do they want no new players, no new recruits, and no part time or casual players? Possibly.. If as the RB/NTC, or PR geared for the minority of unicums and whales, they want this to no longer b a free2play mp MMO? (The RB/NTC was supposed to give free premium consumables to all.. conveniently forgotten credit sink fallacies or selling "free" (!!!) Xp , demolishing the playerbase with more erosion. Cv re-rework , some contributors actually expressed that they hoped RTS cv mains would just leave.. cv was gonna be dumbed-down to low skill level arcade playstle, to make it "more accessible".. cvs were never broken, but graf zeppelin-gate (premature sale of a non functional premium vehicle ) gave a convenient excuse to rework the class , so they could bring wowp in, effectively removing cvs as warships, since the "year (and counting) of the cv" so they converted cv warships over to planes (?!?).. doubtless salvaged from their costly implosion of WoWp; and the ship is a bot ai that cannot even autopilot. The logic and marketing confusing.. the bizarrely obvious and blatant disregard and disrespect with this rude offensive insulting attitude to the community and playerbase.. must/ can only be deliberate. is all this to reduce the PC playerbase, except the whales , so they can try to match the competition , on other platforms? With especially so many alpha and beta testing 'veterans' quitting, how sustainable can the title remain on PC, and why do they insist on sabotaging their own title? I guess wows with just unicums could be e-sport on PC, and they can then grow it on console and mobile? Possibly planing to merge wowp more into wows ? But to become a real MMO they need to stop segregation of regions, to catch up and go global like other MMOs, eg on steam type platform. Just trying to understand whats really going on with their business model and (apparently counter productive ) decision making. (It's now opposite of what WoT has been doing, apparently positively, to rescue and salvage itself.. eg reducing grindiness (!) drastically, making crew training much easier to catch up, reducing many Pay2win options, levelling the matchmaking - levelling the playing field). Whatever s going on in the background which we can only speculate on, not sure purchasing anything in wows would keep it's virtual value. Even if the grind was practically possible, (which it never was?), it may be a health hazard? For either healthy customers and those with "health issues" ( presumably eg customers who are persons with a disability , wounded military veterans) as mentioned by wows manager / oligarch it's supposed to benefit

As For the rest of the community, who cares, just ignore them, wows is not going to change or repair this business practice. They'll have to pay the close to $300 or lose what they already paid for boosters. So disabled persons, and unemployed persons , give us $300 and we'll 'give' you something expensively 'free' (like our "free" xp) so difficult to grind to relieve your health issues (Obviously this snub and offensive insult includeds wounded military veterans and disabled persons) Moreover, some, eg. little white mouse. aetam , and pointyhairedjedi, have explained and emphasized how this grind is actually very dangerous and hazardous and risky to anybody's health....

This happened before. With The hunt for Bismarck event, they shut down the EU server a few hours before the advertised and stated end time of the event. Having been away on work, I was just finishing the last grind. Missed getting the Bismarck because the event was terminated before the scheduled time.
