Charity event, donations & rewards
SamuraiShakaViking replied to ForlornSailor's topic in General Discussion
it good you informed the community. They actually altered that site too.. I agree, it's better to donate to charity directly and transparently. why give through a corporation that donates your money, not theirs, but can claim the credit , unless they undertake to match every donation, and its audited. In these circumstances, a good corporate manager should consider donating all sales from the (absurd $200) Puerto Rico to charity imho -
Yep, could be.. the billions in profit have apparently not gone into the title.. so where then? Prices have steadily been going up .. This could be a test to determine if customer s would pay over $200 , for a virtual item , with no intrinsic value at all. Then all prices could be inflated These non tangible 'products' are cheap to copy (with no production costs). They could easily give every customer it free at no expense to them.

Puerto Rico event is a reward for people with health issues
SamuraiShakaViking replied to Afghanicus's topic in General Discussion
I'm disabled. Many military veterans are too. The ceo is obliged to explain how this debacle is supposed to be for benefit of healthy or non healthy customers. fyi The cv re-rework alienated , actually disqualified some from being able to participate , example because before you could manage the RTS cv with one hand -

If this is true then I am disgusted. Can someone confirm the translation?
SamuraiShakaViking replied to Fat_Maniac's topic in General Discussion
There is certainly much more going on in background that we're not privy to. But should be? The contributors should check the legality of their nda in their jurisdiction against their responsibility and obligations to the community. There should be transparent public audit of WG profits and business practice? Where do the billions in profits go? Apparently they clearly don't go back into the title .. fyi check out some 'misgivings' about gambling cash grabs in their other title, -

What r the German and polish and francophone community fora saying? The na forums? Any confirmation of the German govt investigation , or just a rumour? If you are an EU citizen you should possibly consider informing your EU mp, and own government? There's possible negligence and incompetence, and possibly enough circumstantial evidence of deception, misleading advertising, profiteering, exploitation, possibly fraud etc. ? If the insults to paying customers, and the health insinuations are verified, lawyers could and should consider to take this to the EU court of justice. The Cyprus government which also has jurisdiction should possibly also be notified by a EU citizen. -
Please don't buy the Puerto Rico
SamuraiShakaViking replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
WG have alienated such loyal veterans to leave, the core playerbase that actually keeps a title viable. how survivable and sustainable is their title? r they trying to squeeze max short term profits , before it sinks , as they did with wowp? -
Please don't buy the Puerto Rico
SamuraiShakaViking replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
They'll be using a $200 'ship' against another rich spoilt oligarch, and the rest of the team would be bots. Wows shall end up, (as the tragedy of wowp), with Coop pve mode. Don't forget wg already 'reworked' their own title to collapse. Wowp is basically pve bot arcadey fps since. They tried to rescue this under guise of a unnecessary 'cv re-rework', by turning cv's into bot ai that cannot even autopilot properly, and demoting cv captains into an fps about warplanes ... in a game supposed to be about boats, in an era when cv's were the most important class. $200 is much more than the monthly wage of most people in the world. 20,000 humans perish everyday from preventable hunger. -
IF WG SAID WE WILL SCRAP RICO AND DIRECTIVES GRIND
SamuraiShakaViking replied to nothear's topic in General Discussion
They should learn how to give back, and appreciate customers, playerbase and community , who made them ( not try defraud and deceive them). If they had any ethic, They should give every player a pr, or any premium of their choice - gratis (instead of using them as bait in the gambling lootbox). They'd rescue some scraps of 'reputation'. It doesn't cost them a cent. But ofc this wouldn't even be considered. -
Checklist : what WG must fix in wows asap?

good point , thanks -
Santa's rng loot boxes worth it?
SamuraiShakaViking replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
House odds... there's no reason it's even 'rng' , it's probably loaded dice. Why don't they disclose the odds? They'd probably make as much obscene profit, if not more, if they just sold the product the customer wants. But WG and marketing have their own incomprehensible logic... -
Are yoshino or azuma competitive alternatives or not really?

Christmas Crates Drop Rate Project
SamuraiShakaViking replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
The surprisingly few vids of loot box opening,. seem to show mostly the low to mid tiers being dropped.. Which is then better value: the Xmas loot boxes, or the Wows annual anniv. sale? If I recall they offered most tier viii's and others at half price? -
When I last tried to ask for some TLC for the ijn lines, especially out dated and power crept , the moderator closed the thread saying I was trolling.. whatever that indicates I also raised that there were then no ijn (or pan asia) special captain 'brothers ' . They said 'race' representation cannot be discussed on the forums.. tho I was referring to nations or factions in the game?!

[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
SamuraiShakaViking replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
This happened before. With The hunt for Bismarck event, they shut down the EU server a few hours before the advertised and stated end time of the event. Having been away on work, I was just finishing the last grind. Missed getting the Bismarck because the event was terminated before the scheduled time. -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
SamuraiShakaViking replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
An apology means taking responsibility for ineptitude. In some countries people have the dignity to resign, with some honorable humility. In others they would get fired, in shame and disgrace. In the military you get a court martial and dishonourable discharge. -

Carriers, Research Bureau, Puerto Rico... next?
SamuraiShakaViking replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
anybody remember how the NTC, now RB, was supposed to be balanced by free premium consumables?? (though based on WGs ludicrous logic) well the unicums and 'hardcore veterans' got the ntc/ rb and their surplus of so-called "free"-xp got them the exclusive top tier premiums ; but no free premium consumables for the plebs - so conveniently omitted... -

SamuraiShakaViking replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
The insult and dishonesty to the playerbase and community is shameful. If you can focus the Puerto Rico ship Boycott contributors who paid for it, with the excuse of 'making content' .. if we want a even more elite spoilt rich kids game, anybody who pays $200+ is gonna make the game even more expensive for everybody It's now so blatantly Pay2win, r.i.p. all f2p veterans and poor new recruits Btw Check out wg gambling in wot, where u gotta gamble about $200-300 on na or EU on lootboxes to maybe get an op tank.. again. (but on the Russian server you seem to get all the premiums for a quarter the price).. check the wot community contributor eg QB opening lootboxes; (he gives the equivalent in cash to charity). He says, "shame on you WG". Does WG have the most expensive and most profitable pay2win MMO titles now? -
What the PR PR fiasco cost wargaming?

For insulting their playerbase and community.. again? Their tattered reputation. Their last shred of creditibility. -
Carriers, Research Bureau, Puerto Rico... next?
SamuraiShakaViking replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
the cv re-re-work was actually explained as dumbing down the tactic and skill set to make it more arcadey and less rts.. ( anti cv community contributors (who couldn't manage RTS cv's) were the idiots who naiively incorrectly said RTS gaming - is a failing genre - so remove it from cvs, so they are accessible to the less skilled). Yet even in an arcade game about warships it's absurd to be piloting planes.. which so few ppl seem to even realise. WG brought the arcade planes for "cv captains" to save on their wowp re-work fiascos and losses. Actually No carrier captain ever piloted a plane squadron, it would be abandoning his post. The actual cv ship is now basically managed by a ridiculous bot dumb ai that cannot even manage auto pilot ). The cv re-rework that doesn't work, was obviously about saving on the embarrassing wowp loss, and cashing in on console and handheld devices market. They been Dumbing down wows to lowest common denominator arcadey pac-man type skill set since.
