    I think it's such a must have that ultimately absolutely everyone is picking it and that it's just removing 4pts to every CV captain, which is not that bad because anyway there's not much you really want to pick apart of this. However I agree that it has some downsides.

    Even if you're probably trolling ... well feeding is fun this time. First of all take account that WoWs playerbase is rather aged. It means that you're talking to mostly adults, even some middle aged one, knowing their capabilities rather well and being confident about them, unlike teenagers that are usually MMO's bread and butter. So your sarcastic and condescending "I know everything" attitude has very little power here. That said, sure WR isn't really representative of one's skill because it can be massively tweaked by the number of division you make, the class you play, the tier you mostly play at. But, skipping the fact you didn't demonstrated anything, I don't get how one can come to think that someone who's very good won't have a more positive effect on his team, and therefor win more often, than someone who sucks. I mean, that's not like if it was 2000 vs 2000 and that your personnal skill doesn't matter at all. That's for your fake demonstration. Now, let's say that for some reason WG decides to keep you at a given winrate by always willingly putting you with stronger teams vs weaker teams. But on which criteria ? They would say "hmm you little fool will be doomed to lose and have a 40% winrate till the end of the world" to a random fool ? The only reason I'd see is that they would pad up paying customers stats, influencing them to keep playing but it doesn't fit since we all know people breaking their bank account on the game and having bad stats anyway.

    It's not often talked about, but I've always felt it's a bit overpowered. When someone smokes up his buddies and that you don't happen to have a radar cruiser, there's not really much you can do. Idk, maybe it shouldn't last that long or radar should be much more common ?

    Bored of people sailing full broadside and eating no damage because "nicely designed armor mechanic". World of Overpens is quite boring yes.

    Doesn't mean that I should be happy with a premium CV worth the price of my right kidney and a middle finger. I've been playing for 10 months now, in the meantime every other class had at least 2 announced split / new line while we're still not even knowing if a new CV line will be added one day.

    I strictly mean DPM. A GK AP DPM is 304k (unupgraded with 420mm), while a Des Moines has 450k AP DPM and a Minotaur 600k AP DPM. You can double check. DPM is a cruiser thing. Ofc you need to have a broadside to apply DPM correctly but that's why I was talking about flanking. About saturation, afaik it only affect superstructure but most cruisers AP shells can easily pierce a BB upper belt. If anything they're better at this than BBs anyway. US and RU cruisers always have it. IJN also have it like 95% of the time due to weaker hydro than German. RN cruisers have a way too strong AA at 9 - 10 with way too much range, and at lower tier they compensate the lack of it by a maneuverability making them hard to damage. On KGM cruisers it's a gamble. But it's the only line I'd bother trying to strike unless it's really necessary. Only shows what I'm stating from the begining, they're the team's backbone, but they rely on the rest of the team as much as the team relies on them. To be honest, I don't know if BBs are really overpowered or not, I don't play enough CA and DDs to know this. But what I'm totally sure about is that if they are, it's nowhere close to what some people are stating. Cruisers and DDs are still a serious thing. Now maybe remove hydro on KGM BBs, remove some AA on US and KGM BBs, maybe, idk. But it's not World of Battleships like some pretends it is. And if anything, I doubt that nerfing their economy is a solution. They were stupid to do this to CVs, and it would be equally bad to do it to BBs. They would still be the same in game, so I don't really see what's the point of this. Making them frustrating to play ? For what reason ?

    Yeah that's right, BB is what have the most tools that are required to get the victory. In fact it's just to explain this that I made this whole post and told that they were the backbone of the team. But I don't understand why you think it's bad design, or a bad thing. BBs need you to protect them, and you need them to win the game. Everyone has a lot of work and can make nice plays. I don't see what isn't fine with this. The fact that you aren't the spearhead doesn't mean that you can't shine as much as it does, or that you're less important. And about CVs, yeah they can rack up damages but if they don't teamplay, they'll just do this and lose. Imho strike carriers are the supportest support of this game. They're the only one having this ability to strike the right target at the right time to save a whole part of the team from total failure. A bit like a goal keeper in a football team. That's more a jokerish thingy.

    I agree on the part where you say that this requires a minimal teamwork to be applied, and that WG doesn't help that. However, if there's one class that absolutely can't stand on its own at all, it's battleship. Even if some BBs have tools they shouldn't have (hydro or radar) and behave a bit better than their cousins, they're all dead as soon as left alone, where cruisers and especially DDs can have their way out of tricky situations unless they're really heavily committed.

    Mainly flanking due to their good DPM, but also tagging, chasing (only when necessary ofc), survive when alone, and anti-air. Their radar is also mandatory vs organized play, even tho I must admit you don't see very organized play that often in random battles.

    I think you're a bit misunderstanding what I tryed to say, when you're saying that BBs are superior, better than other ship in every aspect of the game. They have lots of weaknesses and need heavy support, there are many things that DDs and cruisers do better than them. However, when it comes to push and hold a position, they are the best, that's where they shine. And then when you understand that taking strong position and take advantage of it is what wins you the game, you also understand why BBs are the backbone of your fleet.

    It's intresting, but I don't think it actually benefits at all. Why ? Because as you said it requires you to have your target between your planes and you, which cause 2 major issues : First, It will take a long time to turn around the ennemy fleet without being detected and / or caught into an AA bubble, which ofc means that you lose strike opportunities, but also that you're going to strike less. However in situations when it's absolutely impossible to strike the classic way, maybe it has its use. But ... ... if I'm not mistaking it basically means that you can only strike the rear guard of ennemy fleet. Which means support cruisers that have def AA and that you probably won't be able to strike correctly, and snipy BB that are already deadweights to their teams. I always want to strike DDs and targets that are directly engaged in combat with my team, except a random fire starter who isolated himself a bit too much here and there. And I can't apply your use of EM to this goal because of course it would make me fly over the whole rear guard AA and the 75% HP buff probably won't compensate. In the end, that's not even a real con but given how buggy UI is and how it tends to randomly overload when you decide to micro a tiny bit, I don't know if I want to try this. However it opens up some possibilites, tell us if it's still working for you after a week or two :p

    First time it's so obvious to me that there's really something wrong : Kraken, 194k, 5 kills, one of them is a DD, 48 planes : Let's check the rewards : TADAAAAM 1.2k base XP. Note that if credits are decent it's only because I have type 20 + Zulu and premium, otherwise would barely have earnt anything.

    But then yeah if stats are showing such a large gap then it must be me. I suppose I don't play correctly vs USN and that's why I struggle. Would love to grind that line but omg so much credits required x)

    I don't know, it's what it seems, because after all in a recent game get fairly dominated by a 2/1/2 Midway (20 airplanes to 43 for him) but sunk more than he did (even if we lost). Tho I have a feeling that a lot of US CV players miss what seems the point of that line to me (even if I didn't bought ranger already lol) which is getting witherer every game. IJN CVs give a fair amount of DoT but USN CVs seems very powerful for this. Torps cause flooding with almost every hit, and it's almost guaranteed 2 fires for each DB run unless there are already fires, so even if strike damage is really lower than with IJN you'll cook people anyway !

    I still don't get why people are always saying that US CVs are inferior. When I'm in Hakuryu and that I'm facing a Midway I'd wish I could replace my fighters by something else because they are so pointless ! Can't dream of doing anything to their fighters. And killing more than half their plane with a strafe is impossible unless perfectly from the rear ! I really prefere being matched vs Hakuryu, where fighters are potent.

    Would just make microing fighters vs USN CVs usefull. Because actually I stopped bothering with microing my fighters vs USN fighters. Suicide them to allow your strike to go trough and there you go. If it is now worth preserving them then I could reconsider this.

    To me being able to pick CE with air superiority is the only real improvment for CVs. I think it really matters tho. Seal clubbing is BAD, can only agree. Well, I used to seal club in Zuiho back in the days for this huge amount of silver per game, but I've always considered it really dull and wouldn't do it more than necessary. Now ofc this isn't even an option anymore

    A tiny thought about RPF

    There's not a day without an other RPF topic saying, basically, "this is utter sh*t kills the game aaaarrhaerahrza". I mean, I'm not really hyped by this skill, probably not a good idea, but well. Maybe give it a few weeks on the live server before unleashing the shitstorm ? You merely tried it for now, maybe it'll open up more intrestin things than you'd expect.
