Display proper informations (AA range, enabled DEFAA, plane spoting range, group number on minimap and so on) and more important make an UI that doesn't overload and drop you FPS below 0 when you go over crap150 APM would be a good start.

A very low winrate doesn't justify that much hostility, but it proves that there are some basics that you probably don't understand. Stating this doesn't make us trolls / kids / notwhat, and trolling about his poor English doesn't make this statement wrong.

People complaining about manual drop are still existing ? Seriously ? Before calling manual drop OP, first take note that a CV couldn't even hope to hit a cruiser at higher tier, let alone a DD. They would get low damages on BBs and wouldn't do anything. Great. In this case let just remove CVs and play a point on click on steam, will be much better. Second, learn (finally) that in order to dodge an air strike you should be noticing the planes first and placing yourself accordingly. If you can't do this it's your fault, many players can do this perfectly well, if you can't do it either then the problem comes from you, not from the game.

So the main issue here isn't straight up the concept of CV, it's just the skill gap between "good" and "bad" CVs. Right ? So instead of removing CVs and giving them a shitty economy, maybe improve their UI, give hints and proper tutorial to new players and help define the role of a CV in game ?

Tirpitz secondary artillery up to par?
Cadelanne replied to superdashi's topic in General Discussion
If you ask me, secondaries should receive an overhaul significant buff regardless the line and the nation. But as it is now I think tirpitz is good enough. You're underestimating these torpedo tube's value. -
Thanks a lot for this detailed post ! I'll have to adapt to very weak TB and practice my DDs droping even further I suppose ....
-
Curiously it took me some time to adapt from Taiho aswell, and tbh I still suck even if it's now better than it was a bit back in time.
-
Hmm higher potential damage I agree but for sure we'll be seeing tons of Atlanta and Scharnhorst decimating T6 TBs so fast ... and it's not like Hiryu has large plane reserves. I've never been playing in ranked, therefore never highly focused on actively spotting with DBs, but is it possible vs a Saipan that has so fast planes ? Are DBs still fast enough ?
-
Haha if only this 3/3/2 was actually real ^^
-
Lmao give her some time, you don't have 10 games in her yet ! Get used to it !

Get your wallets ready - the next Ranked season will be T7 again
Cadelanne replied to Tyrendian89's topic in General Discussion
Lmao ok not going to ranked this season either. Actually maybe the Hiryu will stand a chance now with new commanders but I doubt it. Saipan planes so [edited]fast. And T6 TBs lmao. No she doesn't sorry about that. -
How can we prevent this from happening almost every game?
Cadelanne replied to RenamedUser_92906789's topic in General Discussion
Instead of going agressive like that so soon, try to give them a plan. Nothing too complicated, but at the very beginning try to call for a way to go. It's not a 100% success rate but you can be surprised as it works quite often. And dont' hesitate to ask specific players to do something (i. e "Fletcher would you drop a smoke for us please ?"). I don't know why but I noticed that for some reason people tend to pay more attention at what you tell them if you call them sepcificly, than if you say something to the group they belong too. -
Something positive (New skills in general)
Cadelanne replied to Syrchalis's topic in General Discussion
Feel the wrath of what the shitty AS skill is for CV since ... at least since I started to play -
When I'm bored of playing my CVs it's either because I'm mad for getting +2 MM murderous AA several times in a row, or because I feel like I'm doing crapand I'd rather play an other class than just rage and lose more games.

Something positive (New skills in general)
Cadelanne replied to Syrchalis's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much my thought. Not a very good skill tree but really better than what it was before. Waiting for a next rework to have something that we can actually call "good". -
So it's often discussed here how bad is Midway etc. and since stats are with you I can only agree. Nonetheless I struggle versus Midways 2/1/2 way more than against Hakuryus, are my fighters are just pointless. No matter how badly I outmicro the ennemy I'll lose my fighters anyway. Can't really throw them at him to strike since I have only 2 full sets. So yeah, I feel kinda stuck vs Midway.

It might be worth it to learn how to multitask each squads, if ennemy AA is weak enough. More fires, more flooding going. When you get 1 squad putting a flooding, then after DCP you come with 3 other squads and put an other flooding + 2 fires it's almost guaranteed death for the BB. It's worth trying when target has low AA. Also having a good multitask control over your squads is mandatory to get good crossdrops going on DDs. I agree that sometimes it's not really usefull and that the buggy UI doesn't really help to do it correctly, but it's always nice to be able to do it properly.

I suck at this game. This is how I feel when joining a match...
Cadelanne replied to Phil_McCavity's topic in General Discussion
Don't worry it'll get better if you pay attention to what you're doing. If you see someone who's doing good ig feel free to ask him some advices. It doesn't matter how much times it takes if it's fun right ? And if you aren't having fun anymore I suggest you to play an other game and come back at this one later -
Just go for it an practice it.
-
But if this happens you living or dying doesn't matter that much right ?
-
Yeah have been baiting and playing turning around islands a lot lately and among being great great fun, you're much more devastating. The only real issue is that sometimes there's someone on the other side of the island you're hiding behind and he shoot your planes while they're taking off / landing.
-
Yeah ofc defensive fighter is everything but a fun, engaging and balacned mechanic. Strafe ... wait why in the world would you remove it ? It's totally dodgeable and burns a tons of ammunitions, so what's the issue ? Fighter setup ... it has been demonstrated many time that they suck compared to other loadout, by nature and with statistics added to prove it. Since it's not even fun to play, or to play against, idk why it's still in game but whatever, anyway nobody picks them after TVI, and in V VI you can snipe them quite easily if you manage to bait them, so that's not a really big issue.

Is there any reason to play Carriers after this patch?
Cadelanne replied to matol1's topic in Aircraft Carriers
T6 and T7 are terrible spots. These are the only tiers needing a big enough change that it should be called a "fix". And from T8 it's all fun. At least on IJN. -
Yes, a bit. Didn't noticed any real change in AA lately. On the other hand, as stated above CE makes things really good. By the past I already thought about droping AS for CE and if I knew it was that good, I would have done it. Lately I've been working for more agressive positionning and it drastically improved my games in terms of fun, and quite a bit in terms of performance too. I mean, I already had a quite agressive positionning before, but nothing common. Maybe Fiery takeoff isn't so trash in the end ....

After seeing an other topic about "BBs ruin the game, they're OP", I decided to write something to state how this game is working (at least for me). I think that all this whine around BBs comes from the fact that many people don't understand ships roles. When reading people talking about it I always see tons of comments stating a sort of rock - paper - scissors where DDs are countering BBs, CAs are countering DDs, and BBs are countering CAs. But that's totally WRONG. The reality is that this whole game is based on pushing and securing positions. That's obvious in Domination but it's the case in any game mode. You got a strong position ? Even if it's not a cap, you push ennemy team back, you make it harder for them to angle to everyone, you make them easier to spot, to torpedo, you lower their flanking capabilites. So you WIN. And what does push a position and take ages to be removed when bunkered and protected ? You're right, a battleship ! So what I wish everyone would understand is that by design, BBs are the masterpiece. They have the massive alpha damage, they have the pushing, they have the tanking. They're the ships on which the game relies on. Every other ship class (including CVs) is there to support those BBs. Ofc every ship can do stuff on it's own because otherwise it would be quite boring, but ultimatly if you want to win you have to help your BBs. You have to defend them, and help them to get rid of ennemy BBs. The fact that the meta is BB-centric isn't because of a bad balance and cruisers / DDs being to weak. It's just how it is designed. It is designed as "BBs are there, and around them we add other ship classes to help them out". Then you can say it's good or bad game design, but don't be surprised when BBs are strong. It's normal. (before everybody jumps on me, just know that I'm a main carrier)
