Kirov - My 2nd favourite ship in the game so I like the reduced Reload but I'm not sure that that the muzzle velocity increase is necessary as it feels like it intrudes on the Molotov too much now. However I'll still be happy if hits Live like this.

As I predicted after playing this mode on the PTS - The player base skill level overall is just too poor at Teamwork for this mode to work well. I've had one 3 star game and the rest have all been loses, including the "Never played in a CV ever before" player who drove his CV through the Portal without ever flying a single plane etc. So while there will be rare exceptions of teams getting 5 stars the vast majority of players won't get near that and most will be annoyed by this mode after that initial "new game mode" excitement wears off. This should be a warning to WG that too many players now don't understand how the game works, how to play it well or how to play as a team.

Some PTS Fun - With another couple of minutes I would have won this, just ran out of time! My plan was to rush the last few BB's who were all within 8km of me (I was behind an island) and torp the crap out of them, may not have gone well Still ended up doing really well with a bucket full of XP which would have been even nicer with a win! and the obligatory Des Moines co-op game, I love this ship! -

Result No idea which Clan a person belongs to which makes joining their Clan very hard! 4. Expected result I should be able to read a clan tag 5. It's going to be a nightmare once it goes Live and 20K+ randoms all get to have a go. Even on the PTS I had loses with 820k+ damage done!

A higher tiers the increase in ship lethality means bots with their perfect aim can be a real nightmare. At T9+ I've seen bot Minotaurs get a kraken before (yeap, co-op T10's exist) so at lower tiers (2-8) an increase in targets would be great but maybe cap it by T9. -

With 75 games played and having already said I "really like mine a lot" I'm not sure why you feel I "need to give her some more time". According to Warships.Today I'm No1 on the EU server in Co-Op in her (with 25+ games played) with a 2200+ WTR so did you really mean that comment towards me or did I just get caught in a comment made towards Cosseria by mistake? Also, as there are more than just PvP play modes people might want to know how it works in both modes, which makes the " sorry Guys but you have played 1 game in PVP between you in the ship " comment feel like you don't think co-op experience should should be mentioned?

Do enemy players see it or do they still see the stock model (depending on their "view settings" obviously) as I'd only consider it for my Nik if the enemy saw it that way?

Extremely good fun in Co-Op but probably not as good in Random where people are less likely to run into the short torpedo range. I really like mine a lot (75 games in her) but I only use it in co-op as thats what I play now but as you have over 200 DD games with most of them around T4/5/6 (LOL at Juanx saying 200 games is "you don't play DD's") then you should be able to jump into one without too much issue but remember it's turning is more like a cruiser than a DD. The Guns are very good but short range (9km-ish) without AFT (11km-ish after) with a slightly long reload (7 sec) but better than a IJN DD's guns, they hit hard and the dispersion isn't bad or the fire chance. The top speed with a speed flag is 39.1kts so it's not fast and CV's will love dropping on you due to the poor AA and lack of turning circle. As mentioned the torps are short ranged but extremely fast and hard hitting with a 42-ish second reload with captain skills etc. Most cruisers at T5 only need a single launch to kill but I fire two just to be sure and even BB's rarely need all 12 torps fired, but it must be massive panic stations when they see 12 torps if you do. Ship detection is a round 5.9 with Captain skills (don't need CE for Co-Op so mine is around 6.4km) which is fine for the tier. Hope that helps!

The "leaders" on the NA server (NADO) used a Conqueror and 6 Moskva's and have so far beat every team they've played so, although 2 teams pushed them hard (but still lost), their setup doesn't look like it's going to change any time soon.

I agree, I think Co-Op is a great starting place before moving on PvP by T3 at most, then learn the game fully in PvP upto T10 before coming back form some occasional/full time T4+ Co-Op fun once you know the game. Thats what I did and, as you mentioned, it gives me really 2 game modes to play - BB snipe-fest PvP or Brawling Bots -

As a DD I either Yolo in for a couple of quick kills and then die, or knowing that the Bots will chase me, I lead them away and into give broadside shots to the rest of my team while I kite away, Both are equally fun but the kiting is definitely harder due to the bots uber marksmanship!!! -
A defeat and then a 4 star win - and I did nothing differently! In fact the 4 star win only left me alive after the last friendly BB (about 1/2 health) rammed a <1k Rasputin rather than let it burn for a few more seconds. As per last year, very few people who play the game (I'd guess less that 33%) either read the WG website or Forums to know what to do. The rest are "Randoms" who just load up the game, see new ships and go Pew Pewwwww without realising the captains are 19 point ones, you can use flags etc so it's no wonder this event is "spoiled" by Randoms. Trust me, the T8 version I played on PTS will drive people bloody mental in comparison to this as there is literally no way to win without teamwork, which Randoms don't have!

The thing is I really don't want to get rid of those ships as I really enjoy them (and I'm bloody good in the Kutuzov, 3rd on EU in co-op), but a simple bot mechanic change would, I think, solve it as currently bot's just drop their own smoke and charge straight out of it, so I wonder if making them stop after they drop smoke (like a human would) could be an answer? Maybe/Maybe Not, but in the last game I had a DD smoke for me which, great teamplay as it was, wasted his smoke as there was a bot DD at 6km who was spotting me. So it'll effect much more than just the individual smoke cruiser players. -

Hi all, just a quickie about cruisers mainly in Co-Op mode (so less useful if you're a Random only player) but specifically the Kutuzov and Belfast . I've just played a Kutuzov and Belfast game in Co-op and the smoke nerfs really hit co-op gameplay hard as, unlike humans, every single bot will always charge at you and they WILL close the distance to less than 8km, making your smoke useless unless you are constantly running away, maintaining the range gap, which is NOT a fun way to play! While it's obvious that Random modes will be getting quite a lot of the talk about the new smoke nerf, it looks like co-op has kind of been forgotten about which, when you consider about 1/3 of the total players are ONLY co-op players and even more like myself play both modes, that's a bit of a concern. I mean I play co-op exactly for the aggressive and fun gameplay, not to be chased away from playing the smoke cruisers I have because thats just not a "fun" way to play. The non-smoke ships are effected too as any smoke screen laid down by a friendly DD is worthless as, again, the bots just charge you, breaking the 7-8km range in a matter of seconds, making smoke feel obsolete for everything except DD's when cruisers still really need some form of cover to avoid being 1 shot by "sniper" bot BB's (only dispersion/range makes them miss, not their aim). It'll be interesting to see how this effects my own enjoyment of the game further into the future as co-op mode is really the only ting I still find "fun" about the game because BB's rarely dominate it due to the mechanics (and lack of BB numbers in Co-Op too) and if that stops being fun because I have to spend the game running away then it might just be the end for me, but I'll leave a few months to see how I adjust to this new hell -

Co-Op fun incoming!!! Played a lot of "Anti-DD" games doing the weekly missions so got a few High Kill but Low Damage games - and now two fantastic games. First was a top tiered Atlanta in a "Cruiser/DD Only" game where I did damage to every single bot, and not just a bit, over 50% damage to every ship except 2 (where I did over 40%) and I even managed a ram on a team mate to make it 9 ships damaged/sunk in an 8 ship game! TBF I could have had 7 kills but on the 12k Atlanta I just swapped targets rather than firing 1 more salvo to finish him (letting the fires do it but got "secured" before that) and the 16k Omaha I swapped to target the 12k Atlanta. The only one I definitely couldn't kill was the 8K Nurnberg as he got torped by the Maas on a kamikaze run, which he survived! and then to finish, I just started stage 3 of this weeks missions and needed to get 75k fire damage. No problems, lets get the brawler build Derpitz out and burn these mofo's down! I almost managed it in 1 game, with over 72k and would have done it if the last BB bot hadn't rammed whilst still on fire with 10k health left -
Is this going to be the end of "Smoking your team up" for offensive purposes then, now BB's can't use the smoke without being spotted? Even defensive use (hiding your team who are badly damaged while they heal) may not be worth it now as the second a low health BB protected by your smoke sees a broadside cruiser you just KNOW they're going to shoot and get spotted, which wastes the smoke in the first place!

Ah yes because I will never play Random or be in a Clan at any point in the future, right? As an aside, if your only response in this thread is about me and not about the CW's primetime (the whole point of this thread) then maybe it's you who shouldn't be concerned with this thread as at least I'm bringing info and giving my opinion i.e. being useful to the thread.

Those times are, for me at 41, prime "family time" where we catch-up on each others day, help with homework, help with a little housework/fixing things etc before getting the kids to bed. So thank you WG for allowing me to spend this precious time with my family rather than playing your game at those very strangely chosen times, considering your clientèle aren't kids with tons of spare time!

Just a quicky in the Benson, dragged 3 BB's and a Chapy around in a game of "chase me around the island at C while my torps reload" killing all four before looking for the bot CV while the other 5 humans on the team all went to A to kill two ships, leaving the lone "friendly" bot Chapy to sink a DD and kill the CV with the help of the human CV who was just doing a CV snipe right from the start and couldn't do it. Why do some people even play the game if they've got to T8 and still have zero clue about teamwork, the minimap, tactical awareness etc and do badly? -
