WG just gave me a bunch of free stuff for logging in inc free Premium ships etc!

Nope, not got WoT or WoWP, just WoWS. From a lot of the posts it seems like "when you last played a Random battle" might be the key as it seems to be lots of co-op players getting this, so I'm guessing that WG's "when did you last login" algorithm might only be looking at Random games. Just a guess at this point though. -

I play co-op almost daily but haven't played Random in months so maybe thats it???? -
20x "Huge Santa Gift" for £57 got me - 1x T8 Yo Lang 1x T6 Gallant 1x T6 Ashan 1x T6 Graf Spee 4000 Doubloons 30x Red Wyvern 30x Dragon 15x Type 59 Camo 270x Frosty Camo Last year I spend hundreds of pounds on Santa boxes trying to win (and eventually did) the Nikolai and Gremy. Now I have those there's nothing else really left in WG's Premium ship line that would make me want to spend the same sort of money again but I'd say I got my moneys worth out of this unboxing, although I'd already won and sold the Ashan/Yo Lang in last years unboxing (silly I Know) and won (and sold) the Graf Spee from the campaign from earlier this year.

600 doubloons, which was nice, although I noticed that if, like me, you buy your xmas crates direct from the Premium Shop then you don't know about these 2 free boxes as they're not mentioned anywhere.

Played the new Operation today, it's alright I stayed on the eastern side of the map, healed from the supply ships when needed and basically wrecked everything (most of the enemy spawned on the east side within 6km of me) for a nice 13 kills, 42k Commander XP, 15k Ship XP and 9300 Free XP! (running all economy, ship XP, captain XP, Free XP signals & camo) -
Priority Target captain skill isn't working during the new Operation as tested on the Myoko, Yorck and Schors. I've played multiple matches with those three ships and the Priority target skill is "intermittent" at best, I'd say working less than 25% of the time, which massively impacts gameplay when you don't know you're a target!!!!! My worst case was when I was being shot at by 4 ships inc 1 USN DD, 1 Cleveland, 1 New Mexico and a bloody Missouri, all without my captain perk working.

Only played a few games so far and both have been relatively low damage due to the game rather than the ship but it feels like Torpedo-less Scharnhorst - fast speed, guns feel "low damage" compared to BB's at the same tier, great turn rate, great turret speed, poor dispersion (not using -7% module yet), good armour if angled but eats easy pens/citadels all day long if broadside. Compared to the New York it's amazing but compared to the rest of the Silver T5 BB's it's not got any standout features so a well rounded but not special premium. Overall I like it so far but I find the 30 sec reload is a huge pain, I'd like to see about 25-26 seconds for the reload but I don't think that'll happen as 30 sec is around the T5 BB average.

Earlier today in Co-Op I saw a person "forget" that their T4 Cruiser Kuma wasn't a DD, as they only used torps (1 torp hit that I saw out of 10+ fired) and I didn't see them fire a single shot, not a single one!

@darkwingfighter LOL, even a Sea Gull could citadel a Danae! In fact I'm surprised the Bell sound at the start of a match doesn't do damage to one So took my Atlanta out for a quick blast, first MM was 6 T7-9 BB's, a T9 CV and Me - Good Job MM Anyway, hid behind an island for the most boring, passive play ever, did about 50k of "Meh" damage across 4 ships mainly burning ships inc a Tirpitz kill and an Iowa that blundered into my ambush torps and I still managed to survive, all of which somehow put me top of the Team (although everyone had low XP TBF). Not a good match overall but to be top in an Atlanta vs 6 BB's and a T9 CV is pretty nice! -
What he said Co-Op is the only tab which doesn't have a "daily progress" chart added when you click on the Progress tab.
-
@Butterdoll No problem. I'd suggest that, while co-op is fine for captain retraining and a bit of occasional fun for most people, it's probably best to stick with Random for the grind once the Captains are done.
-
Wows-numbers doesn't give Progress for PvE, only PvP, which for most players is fine but, as a mainly co-op player now, I miss the details WT gave to co-op. Once WN starts registering co-op game progress I'll swap in a heartbeat.

@Major_Damage225 For me I just like to brawl so I don't really play Random anymore as I prefer the hyper aggressive brawling the Bots are programmed with over the hyper passive high tier human gameplay. Plus I've already got everything I want ship wise so don't really need to grind any more lines (well maybe for the Des Moines) so the mix of fun gameplay and "no need to grind" makes Co-Op ideal for me and the new flags just make it more worthwhile (I've got around 300 of each IIRC so it's not like I'm running out of them). Although I'd actually consider going back to playing some T4 Random in my Clemson but it feels a little too Seal Clubby for my liking and T5 gets T7 matches way too much for me to find it fun in my Kirov/Okhotnik etc.

The total XP/Free XP is from premium ships & account with all the "new" 5-6 economy flags added (Dragon, Oroboros, Wyvern etc). I usually get 500-700 Base XP per game for around 3000-4000 total XP unless it's a 100% weekend when I get nearer 5000 XP. However sometimes I get a really good match and get over 1000 base XP (that last screenshot) which not only gets me a nice amount of total XP/Free XP but, as I'm running a 19 point captain, it got me about 18000 Elite Captain XP too, which was nice (average of 8000 to 12000 Captain XP usually). When you add up all those numbers across the four 19 point captains I run (Tirpitz/Scharn shared, Atlanta, Kutuzov & Belfast) the Captain XP racks up very quickly which I use to pump up my non-elite Captains extra quickly so I've got a 17 point Okhonik captain which is using his own XP and the elite XP to gain points rapidly. Plus all the ship XP can be swapped to Free XP making things like my Missouri quick to get too (don't want Nelson).

@puxflacet The Vegas Strip is in patch 0.6.13

If you look in the top right of all my pictures you'll see those are all Co-Op game scores, against the BOTS you think are too hard to play against, LOL.
-
Anyone notice the poster has 4300+ games so I'm guessing he knows how the game/module/upgrades work, he's just amazed that a T4 stock hull can be so poorly armed
-
Yeap, those BOTS are just too hard to play against dude - As someone else posted above, how on earth after 700+ games do you think BOTS are too hard to play against

Anytime I break 1000-base-XP in a Co-Op game I know I've been in a great game! I just missed getting a kraken by under 2 seconds as the FdG had about 1000hp left and I was broadside with under 100hp left with AP 1/2 way through reloading at under 3km but he got me first with his secondaries! -
This is the annoying thing with WG, there's dozens of really important projects which need developers, modellers and skin creators working full time yet they've somehow got spare time to add a huge amount of inconsequential stuff like this (and towns with buses etc) to the maps which 99.9% of people will neither see nor care about. So while I'm sure this little easter egg has given someone a chuckle, I wonder what "real" work has been delayed, missed or got wrong (like in this thread) because someone was creating items like this instead, but I'm just a grumpy git who wants to play a game without bugs, balance issues & design problems so what do I matter!
-
Dear WG - please consider making available single type "Signal Flag" bundles in "Premium Shop" just like NA and RU!

Well the new EU guy/girl LordofDroid seems to be quite talkative on reddit so maybe ping him/her a request over there rather than using these dead (to WGEU) forums.- 165 replies

@bushwacker001 I'd thought I'd removed all mentions of the Yorcks name before posting the pic but realised I'd missed one so I've tweaked the pic, good spot. AFK - These two ships were not AFK, the turrets on both ships were still moving i.e. someone was still moving a mouse at their end. Plus, as mentioned in the post, after watching the replay they both left spawn, went to their islands and stopped for the whole game, so this isn't some mystical "stopped to take a phone call" or under 8yo's or generally bad players - this is two players making a deliberate decision at the start of the match to hide instead of playing and I don't make excuses for people who do that. -
What this shows is that all it takes to get to Tier 10 is to play enough games, skill means nothing at all! Even if you fail so bad you get less than 500XP per game you'll still get to T10 in only 2000 games. As the game is now a few years old there are potatoes with under 500 WTR playing T10 matches ONLY because of the number of games they've wrecked for their team, not due to their skill level, and without a "Gran Turismo" style skill-based License system it'll only get worse. This will be the eventual death of the game, not RPF or Smoke nerfs or spotting changes, just the fact skill counts for nothing when grinding to the higher tiers, only the number of games played matters!

Had a really good run in some co-op games recently - But with some teams of mouth-breather morons you just can't do anything. This was lost due to a sub 900WTR (in co-op!) player who was in full "Dunning-Kruger" effect in his full health Tirpitz firing HE at a 10k health broadside Bot Tirpitz from under 5km whilst being broadside himself, missing his own torps, taking 3 full bot AP volleys & torpedoes and finally beaching. In chat he didn't seem to think he did badly in his <38k damage average Tirpitz mummy had bought him and said he we shouldn't talk badly in chat as he was excellent in his ship And then we come to the final biscuit!!!! With JUST the bot CV left alive I noticed a Yorck and Tirpitz were still hiding behind an island each and, as you could see the turrets move, they weren't AFK! In fact they'd both hidden for the entire match I saw when I checked the replay!
