    No Campaigns for COOP?

    What was wrong with the way the previous campaigns dealt with Co-Op? The previous Bismarck/Yamamoto campaigns had a single low star value Co-Op mission (usually 1 star) at each Level so you could either play PvP and earn upto 3 sets of "1-4 Star" missions per game (meaning you get through each Level very quickly with lots of mission rewards) or play the single low star co-op mission multiple times which obviously takes much longer to complete and you can only get 1 set of mission rewards. ] However if you persisted you could still grind your way to the end of the campaign and that grind earned you the full campaign reward the same as PvP players got. This felt like a good balance between the ease of Co-Op vs the rewards of PvP and, TBF the Duke of York campaign (the new one once you have the DoY) does have this set-up, it was only the "earn the DoY" campaign which didn't.
  2. For a Co-Op game that started so badly it ended up quite well for me! I started alone at the right side of the trap map (near "C") and thought "bugger doing that alone" so I sailed down behind the big island south of B just in time for my team (who was sailing to A) to start shooting, causing the whole bot fleet (well 7/8) to turn broadside to me while I was still south of "B" as they chased my team. Due to some spectacularly bad RNG/dispersion I only managed a few hits on the broadside Des Moines at 10km before sinking him through sheer DPM after 3-4 salvos rather than the expect Citadels and at that point I was expecting this to be "one of those games" but the 8km broadside New Orleans which followed got a nice 3 citadel surprise from some USN Super Heavy AP killing him off, followed by me AP'ing a broadside Hipper to bits, including a rare Citadel, as we brawled upclose. After killing those 3 the low-ish health Charles Martel then popped out from behind an island at 12km and he also got a nice AP present to his broadside for a fourth kill. Then it was just mopping up with a bit of HE at the Tirpitz and AP at the Chapayev. So not a bad end really, but when I checked my the team score I found that the human Hipper player had also had a fantastic game, only coming 2nd to me by 3XP, so after complimenting him I checked the rest of my post battle screen and noticed that I'd actually lost money on this particular game, which is a bit odd for the result I thought.
  3. A really fun Co-Op game in my Atlanta where, even though I did extremely well, the Aoba and DoY also managed to get a really good Co-Op score too! I started by wiping out the T6 CV's first strike force while HE'ing the 8km away Aoba until he died, followed seconds later by torping and AP'ing the Atlanta at 3km as it rounded the corner of an island. I then swapped direction to HE a Yorck who was brawling with our Yorck and DoY, which got the kill a split second before I could finish it off, so instead I decided to charge the bot Duke of York who had popped around a corner only 4km away from me. I YOLO torped him with my Right side torps whilst doing an AP drive-by for the kill which brought me face to face with a 2/3 health Alabama who was engaging one of our BB's. As his guns weren't aimed at me I yet again YOLO torped using my Left side while doing another AP drive-by at 2km. Once he was dead I spotted a Tirpitz back on my Right side slowly coming around an island so I HE'd him over the island until he cleared the the tip of the island and aimed his guns at me. By this point I had under 300hp left so I last ditch torped him with about 2 seconds to spare before he killed me (I took 1hp more damage than the ship actually has - LOL) but I got a single flood on his nose which killed him. As all this was happening I was still slowly wiping out the CV's attacks but he went after ships who had split away from the main group so I couldn't cover them towards the end which is a shame.

    Taking your 400k "average" game as an example, you'd have got 1,080,000 credits with these - Premium account +50% = +200k Credit flag +20% = +80k Gamescom camo +50% = +200k Wyvern flag +50% = +200k So 400k + 200k + 80k + 200k + 200k = 1080k (or 1.08m) credits. And your "Epic" 800k game would get 2.16 Million credits! It's all about the signals/camos with the Missouri. I've used the same 4 items before in a co-op match and ended up with over 600k credits in profit (after battle costs etc)!

    The Absolute State of COOP

    I play Co-Op mainly now and there's a few things which would be nice - It would be nice if Co-Op got it's own set of medals like Operations did and with a lower number of signal rewards being added for each medal inc Detonation (i.e. 5 signals compared to PvP 10 signals etc). WG seem to have removed Co-Op do-able weekly missions (Stages 1-3 usually) since the server mission harmony, not a fan of that. Remove Two Brothers from Co-Op map rotation. It's completely random which way the bots will travel and, as none of the 3 routes the humans can take can support each other, you regularly end up with games where the bots mainly go a different way to you (say 7 out of 8 ships) and all die before you can see more than 1 ship. I'm fairly happy with the XP/Credit rewards Co-Op gets considering it's easiness as I think Operation levels of rewards would be a bit much but I would like to see signal rewards being added (say 1/2 of PvP rewards) especially for Detonation!

    I originally posted this in August '17 - "I absolutely CAN NOT make the Missouri work for me! Everyone keeps saying it has great guns, well my Tirpitz has better accuracy at under 12km so the RNG gods must hate me and the Missouri combo (look at my recent PvP WTR!) because even with the 11% dispersion Module and at less than 12km I still can't get shells to hit where I aim. At 8km I had a broadside Missouri to shoot at and the rear turret fired two shells infront (miss) and one shell behind (miss) and thats the bull I deal with EVERY SINGLE GAME yet my "shotgun dispersion" Tirpitz one-shots a Nelson for 50k+ health with 4 citadels at 12km and always does great damage every game! " It's always been very hit and miss (pun intended) with some games having almost cruiser like RNG but the vast majority of the others were more like the example above with a single turret missing both bow and stern of a broadside ship!!! I rarely play it now and never in Random, it's just way too RNG for me when all I want is some consistency.
  7. It even makes good credits in Co-Op! I average 120-180k credits Net income (amount after battle costs etc) after every Tirpitz Co-Op game I play but my worst recent game (364XP) earned me only 62k credits Net yet my worst recent Missouri game (a woeful 220XP) still got me 203k Credits Net and my best recently was 650k credits Net. All of that was using premium time but no flags/camos (a bit wasted in Co-Op).

    German BB's added that are almost impossible to Citadel and have Hydro RN BB's added that ignore angling with HE and at higher tiers have a Super Heal, Cruiser concealment and a Citadel underwater High tier USN BB's buffed with with underwater Citadels T4 Nikolai I - Massively OP, now removed from sale it's so OP T5 Gulio Casear - Massively OP (T9 levels of damage) T7 Hood - Def AA T9 Missouri - Radar I love my BB's (826 games played) but I can very easily see how they have dramatically improved over the original USN/IJN lines BB's but the biggest problem isn't any "buffs" to a single BB, it just the sheer number of BB's per game that is the problem for Cruiser players. Before the German BB release in Sept '16 you would get an average of 2-3 BB's per game, now that average is 5 and it's becoming more common to see 7, all of which massively reduce the usefulness and fun of playing a Cruiser. WG have repeatedly said that BB numbers are too high and it's a problem yet they do nothing but release more BB lines which have more and more "Cruiser-like" abilities. I really worry that WG don't know what to do with Cruisers without making them super OP and that, because BB's last so much longer in-game that cruisers right now, players will eventually start to abandon cruisers for BB's within the next year or so.

    Imagine what the current meta would be like if Cruisers and BB's swapped Heals, so only T9+ BB's get multiple heals (T3-T8 get only 1) and all T2-T10 Cruisers get RN BB heals. Cruisers would be much more fun but can you imagine the noise from the BBaBBies

  11. Having some Post Xmas Co-Op Fun!!!!! PS I've now got five 19 point captains and with the 200% week I'm making about 110k Captain XP every 10 games, YAY!!!!! Wiped out all four DD's without being spotted and kill secured a BB, a great Belfast game, low damage but high impact - Took out a DD with sneaky torp (aimed at a CL and missed, hit the DD behind it), sank a New Mexico and Fuso in separate YOLO torp rushes and then gunned down the CV - Took out the new Pacific Line Premium CL with close range AP citadels, burned a Nurnberg down, YOLO torped a Bayern and burned down a Kongo. Had a massive Brawl in the A Cap, torped a DD, torped a Hipper around an island and gunned down a further two DD's. Got chased out of B but not before torping a DD and a Pensacola, finally found a Fuso back at B and YOLO torped it. A T10 match with 4 T8-9 DD's, my manual Secondary spec Tirpitz loved this game, killed a 3/4 health Montana with fires & torps, about a 1/2 health Hindeburg with AP and wiped 90% of the health from 3 DD's before someone else got the kills.

This is not free and please refrain from any mention of super containers - It is free, it is a Free to Play game, spend ZERO money and you will still get all the rewards I mentioned, absolutely guaranteed. Has nothing to do with this at all. Remember what position you are arguing from, one of the recipients thus defending WG's intentions. Does "defending" mean something different in your English to mine? But many who still play were also rewarded, therefore moot point - See point above, it was a mistake by WG to reward players still gaming regularly. You really should attempt to calmly read the posts fully and understand the words rather than react to what you "think" you've seen and instead only react to what you "have" seen. I am not defending WG, I've said WG were wrong to give "gifts" to players like me. What I am saying is the "I want I want I want" in this thread must be annoying for WG to hear, that is NOT defending them or their decision, that is my opinion of the playerbase's reactions. In fact I haven't given my opinion on the decision (good or bad) anywhere in this thread other than to say "thanks" in the OP. Anyway, I can see you got yourself worked up here so how about this - why don't you quit the game and actually hurt WG in the wallet if you genuinely feel this issue has effected you so much? Now onto something much more serious to me - The game is free, completely and utterly free and to say that you believe you have to pay for everything in the game is nothing but a lie, not a mistake or a "I misspoke" moment, its an absolute utter lie. If you decide to believe differently than the rest of us then the problem is 100% with you, not WG.
  15. ......but if you did play you get daily rewards for doing so including containers, super containers, credits and XP to buy new ships and modules, campaigns with free premium ships & free XP to get even more Premium ships etc, none of which those who were "away" got*. It seems to be that people are forgetting all the free stuff WG gave them over the past 12 months and are complaining because they want even more free stuff. The gifts from WG were supposed to bring players back - increasing the size of the player base and bringing in WG more money at the same time - yet WG seeing the complaining from people who already got so much free stuff this year just for playing daily and who now want even more free stuff must be annoying. As I said above the only way to actually "punish" WG is to quit spending any money or quit playing, yet very few (if any) will actually do this, so it's just a lot of whining on a forum which, compared to the income gained from returning players, means nothing to the business side of WG. *One area that should be addressed is that it should have been based on log-in rather than just playing Random, as I got the "rewards" whilst still playing co-op daily, which I agree is a mistake.

  19. Are you going to stop playing WoWS due to this @Blixies, which will potentially impact WG financially? I'm betting virtually no-one will quit over this, yet WG can reasonably expect to regain some previous players from it and that at least some of those will start to spend money in WG again so it's win/win for WG, despite the noise a very small amount of people are generating. So unless they see a negative impact in player numbers with people quitting then why wouldn't they do this, from a business finance point of view?

    At the risk of yet again repeating myself, which is never fun, if you only visit the premium shop you will won't get to see the Legion page as there is NO link in the shop and that is what I think is a mistake. If they want people to know there is a Legion page then they should really provide a link in the Shop but, because they haven't, there will be people who don't know about the Legion page (who like me bought their boxes direct from the shop) and will never visit it and therefore never get 2 free boxes for visiting it. This is a problem with the "Shop" not the Legion site and I mistakenly thought it was simple to understand.

    Picking the right ship with a high enough DPS certainly helps out massively. When this was on the PTS where only Silver ships were allowed this was "fairly" difficult with only Schors/Yorck etc but now it's live and you can use premiums I've now no issue carrying a whole team, especially in the Atlanta. So even if the rest of your team potatos, *if* you have a high DPS premium you can still pull off a 5 star win like this one -

    The relevant parts are underlined but just to be clear - Yes there is an article which tells you all about them - HOWEVER - if you go directly to the Premium Shop (so you never see the article) then there's nothing in the Shop which gives you 2 free boxes. Only by following the article can you get 2 free boxes.
  25. Thats my take on it, someone got a bit of coding wrong and it only looked at when the last Random game was played and Co-op and Ops don't seem to have been counted which is a bit of an Ooops! It will be interesting to see WG's "reaction" to yet another negatively thought of Xmas campaign (2 years in row now). While it makes sense from WG's side to try and entice players back with "free" stuff they've alienated some of their active player base so, will they look at this and decide to give everyone who is "active" a little bonus too as a token of goodwill or will they decide the "cost" isn't worth it as, despite many people complaining, they don't think they'll see any significant drop in player numbers due to it?
