    @xScoundrelx - I would still stick to Random matches until you have much more experience, you can gain nothing from Co-Op at the moment except 'maybe' some weekend stress relief at most. Just for 'full disclosure', I am in the top 20 Co-Op players on the EU & I run everything Premium (Time/Ships) and all the new "special" XP flags so my results will naturally be better but even at T5 I can still get very high XP games like the Tirptz one above, although the Des Moines score was a special game so best to ignore that one T5 Game As I mentioned, only 1 operation per week is "Free to Join" as a single player, the other 5 require you to be in a Division. The "Free to Join" Operation changes every week and is called the "Operation of the Week" so make sure you select that to avoid being told you have to be in a division. Once you get into a T6 Operation they are, again, very nice IF you play well -
  2. @Strappster Co-Op matches don't get Awards but it would be nice to get standalone Co-Op awards though, like you get on Operations, just to acknowledge your achievements.

More Co-Op fun with my 2nd game in the Des Moines - Yeap, I really REALLY REALLY think I love this ship I'm not a huge fan of this map, it's a bit too close meaning torps fly everywhere so, as an AA spec ship I headed for a little island just South of B to blunt the CV's attack whilst pouring HE into the C Cap, killing a DD whilst burning an Iowa and Dimitri Donskoi a little. As the C cap was won I moved towards the A cap killing another DD and getting a few hits on the bot DM which was heading from B to C, so I swung around and also headed to C where I caught the DM broadside at 6km with AP loaded. By this time I was just South of C and still ruining the CV when A full health FdG sailed South from B and gave me all of his broadside to aim at. My AP did 11k damage for the first salvos before dropping to 4k-6k and a friendly BB finished the FdG off while headed North through the C cap towards the CV which I caught border humping. After a few ineffective HE salvos (armoured deck caused 203mm shatters) I swapped to AP to finish it off. It wasn't until I was "clear" of enemy ships (just after the FdG died) that I realised how effective my AA had been and I'm positive thats a new record for me.

    I would suggest that YOU currently gain nothing as, with only 260+ games played, Co-Op really isn't meant for you right now as you should be concentrating on learning the game by playing Random. However, more experienced players can have a lot of fun playing Co-Op. So once you've got a whole bunch more games played (say 1000+), got past T8 and started to get sick of the stupidity of other players (it will happen), Co-Op is a great way to blow off some steam or as Stress Relief during a weekend. Having 2-3 Bismarcks brawling at 5km is a wonderful sight which very rarely happens in Random yet 75% of T8 Co-Op matches are like that, as the bots don't hang back sniping like humans, so if you also play very aggressively, Co-Op can be hugely enjoyable. Again, while YOU don't, others do You can play the "Operation of the Week" without being in a division. Currently the Op is the T6 "Killer Whale" which you can play alone or, as you rightly stated, you can join a division for the other 5 Ops. Remember that the "single player" Operation changes weekly so there's 6 weeks of Ops you can play alone, one of which is even T7 (Ultimate Frontier) and, if played well, can be very rewarding -

    The info isn't FALSE at all, he made the credits he shown, but it isn't the FULL info which can't be shown on a simple "End of Battle" screen and it's a bit of pain to have to write "I run Premium account, -10% servicing, +20% and +50% signals and the +50% Gamescon Camo" after every image 'just in case' a newbie doesn't do their research before parting with 750k Free XP.

Just unlocked the Des Moines which has always been my favourite T10 when playing on the PTS and, for my 1st Co-Op game I think I did quite well and got some tasty XP too On Islands of Ice with only 1 other human play (T10 Ru DD- Grozovoi) I camped behind a small island at B and let the bot CV waste all his strikes on my full AA build 19 pt captain (2500+ AA DPS) while I kept the bot cruisers at bay with broadside AP citadels on the bot DM for a kill and then a Hindenburg which beached broadside at 12km. Then the two Yamatos lumbered into view "bow on" so I burnt the first one down while a single AP salvo to the bow finished the last low health one for a cheeky kill steal. Then it was off to find the bot CV and burn him down with a couple of fires while he continued to send wave after wave of aircraft after me. Due to my positioning and the bots narrow focus I only took 700hp damage from a Yamato's secondary in the whole game yet wrecked them from under 10km for most of the match while nullifying their CV strikes in return.
  8. From LittlewhiteMouse's recent review - USN/German AP bombs can't penetrate the Musashi's citadel, despite being tested extensively in the Training Room they found it usually took around 30 bomb hits to finally sink it, all of which were normal Pens or Over-pens, never a citadel.
  9. More Operations (still trying for the 5 star!) My back actually aches from the amount of carrying I had to do just to get a 4 star win , including taking out as many of the 50 billion DD's that infest this Operation as I could as the only cruiser in the game (3x BB, 2x DD, 1x Atlanta and 1x CV) but at least the rewards more than make up for the stress! One odd thing, I was so busy during the game I didn't actually realise until after that the CV, who I thought did a great job of AA cover and Torp drops, did pretty "poorly" according to the game (anything less than 1000 base XP in Ops isn't classed as good), which is a bit odd considering I saw him hit at least four BB's with torp drops, kept the BB's damage repair on cooldown for me to set fires etc, scouted DD's with his planes etc and generally had a good game from what I thought I saw. Not bad Potential Damage and my Damage Taken is incredible considering I've only got 27500 to start with! Repair base is OP -

    Or alternatively people want to "have fun" and not get so annoyed with the game that they quit playing because it's currently "not fun" for them. The posts in this thread from some of the posters, who must clearly be 90%+ WR Super-Unicums which carry every single game with double krakens, are amazing!

    I'd actually make "Right Click Attacks" like Manual Drops and Strafing into a Tutorial. I'd also make a tutorial for each new "ship type", so one at T2 for DD's and torps, one at T3 for BB's with AP vs HE and one at T4 for CV's.

    True but originally you faced a larger number of higher tier Bots, where as now you mainly face T4-5 bots with a few T7's when playing a T6 Op, but thats just an opinion.

    Yeah the strict limits of "only 1 tier" and "only Op of the week" for single players on Operations are a hassle which I'd like to see removed. I mean the game see's +/- 2 tiers from T6 onwards so I'd be happy with Ops doing the same and allowing the current T6 Ops to use T5-T7 and the current T7 Op to use T6-T8. Plus all the Ops should be available so that people from T5-8 (the most numerous in the game) can play Ops. However I would suggest a reduction in XP (not credits) if we are allowed to play all the different Ops at the same time as the XP is a little high compared to Co-Op as a mode, unless WG decided to make Co-Op T1-T4 only (as a training tool) and T5+ Co-Op became Ops only!

    For new players Co-Op really should only be used to "learn the basics of the game" i.e. how to shoot, steer, use torps etc upto T3 at most (T4 for CV's), but ideally they should be jumping in PvP by as early as possible to "learn how to play the game" instead of "Learning the basics". Expanded Co-Op Teams - They trialled it about a year ago with 8 players vs 12+ bots in either a normal game or a "humans in the middle, bots surround them" mode and, while it worked at lower tiers, it was a failure at higher tiers and they scrapped it after a month or so. However, Operations now seem to have taken over instead so you get 8 players vs dozens of bots in waves in most of the Ops but now there's objectives you have to carry out to be successful. Give them a go, they're pretty good.
  16. The "Ultimate Frontier" Scenario is just a bloody nightmare because people are absolute mouth breathing window licking morons! The bottom ship didn't fire his guns ONCE in 20 minutes and got only 41 XP - that person should be perma-banned by WG as they are deliberately ruining other peoples games. I mean he wasn't even AFK, he sailed around the whole time and NEVER FIRED HIS GUNS!!!!!
  17. I'd looked at that before and couldn't see anything but I've just found that the info is not there if you're only looking at Co-Op results, you only see it on the Random screen, Doh!

    Bots and AFKs

    This thread will probably get closed too as the Mods have a "No discussion of moderation" policy which everything except the last line will probably violate. Your best bet would be to re-post your original thread but edit the names out of the images yourself so the Mods are happy.

A few fun Co-Op games - Started off in the Belfast by hiding in smoke and spotting a DD with hydro and HE'ing it to death, followed by sinking an Emile Bertien in the same way before spotting my first Ashitaka IJN BB in the wild and burning it to death before using island cover to drive-by AP a Kongo, which I thought was sunk by a CV strike which narrowly avoiding team-killing me (turned out not to be a CV kill), allowing me to find the enemy CV and AP it to death. A fun brawling twisting/turning Tirpitz game (aren't they always) vs 2 Cruisers, 2 DD's and a Tirpitz. I sank the 2 DD's with full AP pens (one Mahan got an 11k salvo through the nose), before fighting a <5km brawl with a Roon and Algerie, sinking both before finally the Tirpitz came straight for me and at 2km from a Ram it got detonated by our DD's 127m shell, LOL. After that I was at under 400hp and a Schors finished me off.

    Suggestion for future campaigns

    As I mentioned those are only examples to show the types of mission I'm thinking about rather than "this is 100% what I want so please pick it apart". So the example is we want to stop things like the ARP Nachi disaster happening again, where there was a "kill X Russian ships" mission meaning no-one sailed Russian ships, wrecking the mission. In the new campaign there would also be another mission running at the same time saying "in a Russian ship cause X damage" or "in a Russian ship sink X ships" etc so that people are given an incentive to continue playing all the nations and classes. The specifics of those missions would be up to WG to create, not me, so I'm not giving any specific mission requirements I want to see.

    Suggestion for future campaigns

    Combine ships types for missions, so for example have a "Sink X ships in a DD" mission running at the same time as a "sink X DD's" mission, or "in a French BB cause X damage" mission running at the same time as "cause X damage to French BB's" one. That would get rid of the current "in a X do X damage" mission which means everyone is out playing X's and doing silly stuff.

  25. My favourite part of that Youtube clip is the BB actually missed his shot and it was only RNG dispersion that turned a complete miss into a Citadel, yet another reason this game is a joke!
