Too many T10 ships driving around

When I started playing over 2 years ago the T10 economy was so bad that most players lost money in every match so to "fund" their T10 habit they played lots of T7-8 games. Now with perma-camos with -50% costs, changed game economy and new signals/camos etc it's much easier to play T10 games and never lose money - It's even possible to break even in Co-Op now!
  2. Premium time (+50%) plus the credit signals like Wyvern (+50%), Zulu (+20%) & India Bravo TerraThree (-5% to repair cost) and a good credit Camo (Gamescon is the best at +50%) would have nearly tripled your "earnings" from the Mo game you posted to around 1.2million Credits (+170% credits and cheaper repair)! Thats the only thing you're doing "wrong" and why you'll see so many Mo games with uber high credits.
  3. [Co-Op] - Yeah, had a good evening of playing! Sadly most of these games were slightly spoiled by the new generation of "Run Away and Hide" players which has infested Co-Op over the past few months making some of the games a 100% more difficult that they needed to be, including the Yo Lang game where I had 4 BB's chasing me around the islands as I burnt and torped them while the 3 closest humans actually hid behind the same island until all the bot BB's were below 1/2 health and then (and only then) did they come out to kill secure

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

@orzel286 - I would have rammed him as he was on fire already (so no DC available) and you'd get fire and flood ticking over (plus the 30K Cleveland health removed from it) which almost always guarantees a kill as bots always DC the first fire/flood they can and only use stock consumables with a very long cooldown. I ram a lot for that reason and sometimes equip the Ram flag too just for giggles! PS - The CV was visible to him which is why he didn't shoot at you - they're a higher priority target than you are.

    Counter the radar!

Nope but thats interesting to know!

    Counter the radar!

Yeap I agree. However I'm not sure I'd call it "lazy" when WG say making it work like the players like us want just isn't possible using BW. I mean Big World is a 3rd party software, not WG's own in-house stuff, so they can only use what BW provide.

    Counter the radar!

I've no idea I'm not a coder/programmer for BW. However as a pure guess, with bloom as its your personal detection that increasing I would guess that changes the Visual callout code to increase your own detection range rather than using Assured Detection, which is for detecting other people, but thats just pure guesswork without actually knowing what the code actually does.

    Counter the radar!

Terrain blocking Radar/Sonar - IIRC WG said in a Q&A a few years ago that the Big World engine is currently limited in how it deals with "detection method". There's a code callout of "Visual" which can be blocked by terrain, smoke, distance etc and a separate code callout of "Assured Detection" for when when you get closer than 2km (3km with module) from an enemy and it's that second method which is used by radar/sonar consumable as it pushes the "assured detection" range to the radar/sonar range required and why it can see through islands, just like the 2km one can. So until there's an Engine change (or new code types created for BW) radar/sonar will ALWAYS see through islands due to a coding limitation no matter how much complaining we do.
  9. [Co-Op] - Last ones for a bit as I might need a chiropractor to help fix my spine after all the carrying I've just had to do in these games! It really shouldn't be this hard in Co-Op but just check the team scores - I'm nearly double the XP as 2nd place in most of these! Started out in the NC citadeling the Mutsu, Tirpitz and NC which I sunk before sinking the Carrier with more citadels. Went on an Anti-DD rage in my Neptune sinking the two Bensons and crippling the Z-23 ("Kraken" kill stole by someone) before catching the Atago broadside at 7km and finally soloing the Amagi with Torps and gunfire. Still lost money though. Now this was a bit different, basically 4 humans decided not to play looking at their XP while the other four of us went to work. The Chung Mu and I worked hard to sink all the bot DD's and the Musashi together while he was able to sink the CV too while I took out the Charles Martel for some great teamwork. and finally were back to carrying the team single-handedly again in the Okhotnik and it would have been a "Kraken" except for a very lucky salvo which took the last 100hp from the Konigsberg a split second after my torps wrecked him and before his flooding could tick -

    super containers

From my MxStats I've found that I've picked 102 Try your Luck crates in the 6 months since since 01 Jan 2018 and won 8 Super containers in that time (approx 8% win chance) which has given me - Yet within that 6 months I won 7 of my 8 SC's with 6 weeks (17th March to 28th Apri) from picking 57 TYL crates (approx 12% win chance) but I haven't won another SC since then in the next 24 crates so I'm hoping one should pop up soon! Usually I'd pick "Flag" crates but I've got more than enough now so picking TYL doesn't seem like a waste any more.
  11. [Co-Op] - With the right set of camos, signals and premium etc Co-Op can be a very rewarding place - I mean it helps if you're actually good of course I also gave the bot :Crutchley: a compliment before realising - I always give one to people with over 500 base XP and didn't notice the name

    [0.7.5.0][EN] 'Gun calibers in inches'

This is one of those simple GUI "fixes" that I can't believe isn't already in the game and I'm glad someone has decided to mod this themselves.

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

Yeah Co-Op definitely favours short-range (<3km) aggressive torpedo use but always be wary of the bots doing the same to you.

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

Oh you're THAT guy!!! Dude I put a curse on you whilst in-game as you took up exactly the same position I wanted (perfect DD spot) and, as you got there first, I was less effective than usual and could only pick up the crumbs of the enemy team you left behind. Well Played!
  15. [Co-Op] - A small bit of Co-Op fun for the day - Despite watching the bots play "Chase ME!" on the far side of the map with our Normandie I managed to sink the Leander with a "stealth torp" (deselect target before firing torps so they don't auto-evade them) and then the Scharnhorst with fire and torps before deciding to join in the Chase Me game whilst keeping the Tirpitz permanently on fire until I burned him down. Then I moved South to hunt the CV and I just could NOT citadel this damn CV despite being at 7km away with him broadside and hitting the waterline repeatedly - I think the 203mm's were just too much at close range. And then a rare Nagato game in which my human team-mates just did NOT want to fight so they left me to do all the heavy lifting while they stayed at distance and sniped occasionally to "kill secure", even though a 3k HP bot cruiser spent a full 1 minute alive at less than 10km from 3 human BB's (Texas/Kongo) which is 3 ships x 2 salvoes (1 min) of not shooting at a bot!
  16. Saw @Juanx in his new Monaghan on the Fire map in Co-Op while I was in my Benson. We spawned in the North, myself on the A cap and Juanx on the C cap. I sank the only 2 ships that were in A-B (Hipper/Harikaze) while Juanx sank 3 as the rest of the bots made a push through the C cap and were picked off by others. We came 1st/2nd in the team (Juanx 1st) and it was only after the match I recognised the name!

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

I'm really not sure why WG continue to say "it's only meant for training/testing" when even a blind man can see that for 95%+ of Co-Op players it's not about "testing/training" at all and it hasn't been since before I started playing over 2 years ago. Isn't the figure of Co-Op only players still around 30% of the whole players base? I mean they're not all "testing/training" are they so why do WG keep telling us we're using it wrong rather than see the actual truth? We use Co-Op because we just want a fun, stress free and easy game mode for blasting pixel-boats and only Co-Op gives us that. Especially now the "proper PvE" scenarios you recommend just aren't fun after the retuning of Bot AI/captain skills etc recently.

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

I think that sounds like a good idea but one problem I see is that splitting the already small number of Co-Op players into 2-3 branches (Easy/Hard or Easy/Medium/Hard) may mean less humans per team overall which isn't ideal. I also think the WG has kind of implemented that idea already with Co-Op (easy & low rewards) and Scenarios/Operations (harder now & better rewards).

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

I'll be honest (and I realise this is bragging, sorry) I may be a little biased with that figure as WarshipsToday (when it works) and WowsNumbers both put me in the top 50 EU players for Co-Op which makes it hard to judge player skill easily. However when I checked some of my last Co-Op games using MxStats I find fairly common things like this where 7 out of 8 players have a PvP Win Rate under <46% (low tier 4-5) - or 5 out of 8 here (mid tier 6-8) - or out 6 of 8 here (high/mid tier 7-9) - or out 6 of 8 here (high/mid tier 8-10) - so these players just want to have a fun blast in Co-Op instead of the more "frustrating" PvP mode and the "harder" we make this Easy Mode (so that "good" players have more fun) the majority will suffer.

Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?

As a Co-Op main this statement is absolutely correct - The vast majority of players I see in Co-Op (80%+) just aren't that "good" at the game so Co-Op is a nice relaxing blast for them. It's only that last 20% who are "good" that the Bot increase would benefit but that would be a detriment to the other 80%, spoiling their fun. I mean we've all seen how awful teams can be in Scenarios when the bots are good, have camo and captain skills etc - Imagine Co-Op with 50% Win Rates etc
  21. [Co-Op] - Trying out some of the new ships I won from the Freedom crate missions - Not a stunning game by any means but for a T8 DD the Kidd is an DFAA beast when spec'ed correctly, this was against Midway planes! and the Sims is always good, especially against broadside ships at under 5km who are distracted by a Cruiser and ignore the danger of USN 127mm AP! Plus some stock Co-Op fun in the Machine Gun Atlanta vs 6 BB's!
  22. Just a quickie after the 1st June update (0.7.5-20180601-85) - The Freedom crates are showing up as "Unknown: 30" in the containers screen.
  23. Hi @PensacolaOrz no problem - after thinking about it further, co-op stats like WR are probably useless to be honest as almost everyone will be 95%+ anyway.

    Coal, Steel and Oil

If you wanted to spend doubloons, which cost real money, then yes you could do that just to get access to something which is otherwise not available to you. However as others have mentioned, the other items (coals etc) don't look tied into Clans which is nice.

    Coal, Steel and Oil

Can I assume that all this new stuff will only be available for members of a Clan, as only Clan members can currently earn oil?
