    Oil collected without a Clan

What a strange way to advertise your clan and show the attitude to others that can be expected from it's members

    Oil collected without a Clan

There are a lot of people who may not want to join a Clan due to a million different reasons yet feel they "have" to join one just to get the rewards that are otherwise unavailable. So by making some rewards "Clan Only" there will be people who feel that WG have "forced" a situation on them where they have to either make their own Clan or join a "For Oil Only" clan and in doing are going against the reason WG say a Clan should be created for in the first place, meaning WG's own actions seems to be "hurting" their creation at first glance. Yet as WG get paid real money by people to create Clans WG obviously want as many Clans as possible so they very probably don't care "how" Clans are used, as long as they are paid money to create them. So single person clans or "For Oil Only" Clans etc all bring in raw cash for WG so for them it's a win/win situation regardless of anything they say. TL:DR - WG's "Clan Only" rewards have created "Anti-Clan" Clans which WG like due to cash income.
  3. Hi all, just a Heads Up - The premium shops "Ships" section has just had over 12 ships (which had originally been removed over time) re-added. So if you want to pick up a ship which you missed out on before, have a look and see if it's back to buy!
  4. Hi All, this is something I've mentioned before but it just keeps coming up - Since the 5th of Jan '18 this is what I've won in my 11 Supercontainers Out of all those only the Modules are something I don't already have huge numbers of which kind of makes the vast majority of Supercontainers feel like a waste to me. So I currently have the following of each already - Which shows that, apart from the Restless Fire Camos and Modules, the other 8 Supercontainers weren't actually "super" at all for me, and know people will say I'm complaining about free stuff but this isn't "normal" containers, these are supposed to be "super" and make you go "WOW, I GOT ONE HOW LUCKY!!!" instead of, oh great, another 100 flags to go with the 700+ I already have etc. So it would be nice if the Supercontainers took into account all the items that you've got large numbers of (like my list) and gave you something that was low quantity instead. So if you had 0 doubloons then 1000 would actually be a WOW moment rather than, Meh or the same with signals etc. Is this something which is possible? I know that the Santa Containers looked at which ships you already owned to make sure there was no duplication and I wonder if the same ability exists for the non-ship items you get from a SC. *EDIT* - Just won another SC with 30 more days premium, Thanks I guess??????
  5. Fair enough it's just a difference of opinion.
  6. How do you get the "statistics" tab on that screen, is it a mod?
  7. It would have to be automatic in the same way the Santa Crates were, rather than "player choice".
  8. Seen this in Co-Op a lot since the update to the Pink/Orange Punishment system happened. Players who are Pink start a match, press "W" a few times them Alt-Tab to do something else for 10 minutes until the match is over then do the same again. Saw the same guy do it twice, once in a DD and once in a BB a few days apart (very unique latin-style name so I remembered).
  9. [Co-Op] - Picked up the Kronshtadt today, played it like a Scharnhorst minus the torps and did terribly so played it like a cruiser instead and well..................... PS - "Bad AA" Not had an issue so far when a T9 Taiho focused me (last game)!
  10. I'm a whale so I'm afraid there's no magic way! I do contracting type work in Saudi so there's no beer etc to spend my money on and, out here, WoWS is my only hobby.
  11. You've missed my point - The SC should look at what YOU personally have to give YOU a worthwhile SC. Nothing is "removed" at all, the container just gives you something you haven't already got so you get a worthwhile SC and not something which is a bit of waste.
  12. LOL, had 30 TYL's over 3 months without any and just got 3 in 2 days, RNGesus is a pain!

    WG DevQnA Transcription [RAW]

Ah but you forget, lots of people use doubloons to pay for premium consumables as they don't know about using credits ,so the more consumables a ship has, the money WG gets - Russian Thinking my friend!!!
  14. Met @Admiral_H_Nelson in his Lion whilst I was in my Scharnhorst in Co-Op. Sadly with our DD at B dragging all 8 bots into the middle, when the DD died guess who everyone turned to to blap? I was a bit Meh (426 Base XP) in the middle of this huge brawl vs a Fiji, Yorck and 3 Scharnhorsts and showed a bit too much side to the BB's whilst angling to avoid (as best I could) the many MANY torps flying around. Did about mid 50k damage with no kills but the right royal Admiral had a whale of a time smashing a few BB's in the middle of this brawl. A shout out to the Hiryu captain too who did a fantastic job!
  15. [Co-Op] - Last one for a bit I promise! I only really get to play at the "weekends" out here in Saudi (Fri/Sat) so I feel like I start to spam the thread after a few days. Had a blast in my Shimakaze with the 8km "suicide" torps which work really well in Co-Op. Took down two BB's & 2 Neptunes with them before shooting a DD to bits. In the Neptune I used island cover effective to kill a whole bunch of cruisers as I torped a St. Louis, Neptune & Cleveland whilst getting a secondary guns kill on the Atago. Then, as usual, a BB 200000km away looked at me and I died to a billion citadels! In my Molotov I had an interesting game where, again, using island cover to stealth torp I sank the Dragon and the Iron duke before charging out at the Bayern for a Yolo torp run which went well before using my spotter plane to shoot over an island which the Bot CV had got stuck behind and no-one could get an angle on him except me. Played my 2nd Huanghe game and yet again had such a good fun game in it. This time I didn't bother with torps and just citadeled everything to death instead, although it helped that they were all broadside at 6km while I sat in smoke undetected LOL! and finally a Des Moines game which is a bit of an oddity as, well TBH the game wasn't really all that great. I mean 146k and 2 kills against T8 ships doesn't usually give you 860 base XP!
  16. [Co-Op] - Bought a few new ships from the Store and had great 1st games with these pair plus my Good Old Faithful Atlanta. I mean just check out the Base XP for all 3 games, definitely doing something right! My first Huanghe game were I used the perma-smoke screen to creep into the enemy pack before torping left/right at a Leander/Konigsberg and using the TRB consumable to do the same again at a Huanghe and the DD before burning a BB down. My first Duca game where the CV did an amazing job of protecting me and I couldn't thank him enough which is awful when you see his XP for all that hard team-work! Without having to worry about a CV I could concentrate on sinking a DD and torping both the Duca and the Prince Eugen before concentrating on the bot CV with a friendly Myoko. An Atlanta game where I heavily damaged the Mahan, sank the Minsk and yolo'd the Bismarck while the 2 full health BB's behind me ignored everything else to concentrate on sinking the CV.
  17. BOOOOOOOO!!! I should have read that properly I guess!
  18. Got both now! My first ever Co-Op Huanghe game is in Spoiler - It's OK I suppose I prefer it's TRB consumable for Co-Op which the Perth doesn't have.
  19. This is one of the bigger issues with the game mode. You can see it in Co-Op too where PvP players don't know (or don't realise) that playing against Bots requires a different skill-set to playing against humans in PvP which means you end up watching players do the same things you mentioned.
  20. [Co-Op] - Bit a long one, sorry, but had some extremely fun games on a random day off work (*cough* *cough* World Cup *cough* *cough*) Lets start in the thinly armoured Neptune on the Fire map. I spawned on the far right side with a Hindy backing me up while I smoked up and took out the Neptune before charging out of my smoke and torping the Mogami with my much better torp angles whilst dropping planes like flies with my ridiculous full Manual-AA spec captain (just for giggles really with 1400+ DPS). As I looked at the mini-map I noticed that the Hindy had fallen back and there was an Amagi and Yamato charging south on the other side of the island to me, heading for the Hindy and our CV. So I swung around and charged south too and met then both as I rounded the island and Torped both of them to death whilst still fending off air attacks. Then onto a Des Moines game where I was dropping DD's and Cruisers like a boss whilst angling enough to bounce close range Alsase salvoes while I set 4 fires within 3 salvoes in return to burn him down as I out-ran his turret traverse! Then a Derpitz game on one of my favourite maps where I sank the Minotaur and Mogami before torping both the Bismarck and Iowa, that latter of which I also sank. Shout out to the 1/8th health human Iowa for his ram on the full heath FdG too, great to see! Then a fairly odd Okhotnik game where I'm sure the Rank 1 player in a Farragut was cursing my name as my faster 40 second torp reload kept sinking ships before he could finish his own. We both went to the same cap and I used a wide spread torp wall into the cap for two very quick DD kills while the Farragut charged two BB's but virtually all of his torps missed the bow on ships but their turn to avoid tops opened then up to me and my 12 torp wall of skill took both down. Lastly a Monaghan game which I find is an odd ship to play, with it's 15km gun range, very good torps with reload booster etc all of which make it great for Co-Op but it still feels Odd, like why has a 127mm gun got 15km range, and why does it "need" a torp reload booster etc? Anyway. I picked a good place, hardly moved all game and just torped people as they came around the corner of an island at me.
  21. I think the problem you will run into is that if you make the scenarios easy enough for the majority, to get say consistent 3-5 star wins, it becomes too easy for the few good players who then complain about it being too easy. So do you adjust the game mode for the "easy majority" and annoy a small group of good players, or do you make them harder and annoy the majority? I'll be honest and say that, even though I'd class myself in the Good bracket, I still preferred it when the scenarios were a little easier. Not for myself but it makes playing the game much more fun when you aren't really depending on the rest of the humans around you to apply a brain cell or two to the game but should it ever return to those "easier" levels I'd suggest nerfing the rewards to match the ease of the mode and keep the current reward levels for the new "hard" mode when it arrives.
  22. For everyone that has a lucky streak there are others who get nothing but poor teams, so equating "Well I can win OK" with "so there can't be a problem" isn't really very subjective. However, congrats on your wins!
  23. Yeap, I agree and thats what my post says too, the effect of the Bot tweak on the performance of the bots is fairly minimal. It's the player skill levels which are the big problem and that tiny tweak to the new Bots was just enough to push poor players past their skill level.
  24. Before the BOT AI change this scenario was an easy 4-5 star win 75% of the time as shown in this thread here which is filled with 5 star fun games in all kinds of ships, as well as few games filled with some clueless people. Yet since the Bot AI Change all the scenarios have become much harder to win but the reason isn't the Bot AI change as all that has changed is that the Bots now get captain skills and flag. Instead it's the fact that before the change the team could cope with 4-5 "poor" skill level players derping around yet still win and now the recent slight Bot tweak has made it much more difficult for the remaining 2-3 "good" players to carry the team to a win. As proof of this effect in the 60+ scenarios I'd played I added my MxStats to a thread on here somewhere which shows the PvP Win Rate for all the players in the team and in matches where there was 4-5 players with under 45% WR we would lose (or only get 1-2 stars) the Scenario yet with teams with 3-4 50%+ WR players, we would easily win with 4-5 Star wins everytime. So it seems like the new Bots have "juuuuuuust" about pushed the required player skill level beyond what the majority (but not all) of Scenario players are capable of and the players enjoyment of this mode is now suffering because of that, as there is no way a few "good" players can overcome the sheer drag of carrying so many "poorer" players where as they could before. PS Here's some of my results from before the Bot tweak taken from that forum link above. Since the Bot tweak I've not been able to replicate anything like these results anymore so I've stopped playing scenarios. After all why would I waste 20 minutes just to come away with 350 base XP on yet another defeat when I could play 2 Co-Op games and win in that time -
