Thanks for the info - For those very low "15 camo" rewards (which is what you would mainly get) I wouldn't pay very much at all, say less than £0.50 (half a Euro) per crate but I'm guessing WG will ramp the price up over £1 (in your post of 60 crates I'd expect WG to charge around £55) so even myself, as a huge "must buy containers" whale, won't be buying any!

I haven't seen any Halloween ones for sale this year, only the G8 ones, have I missed something?

Poll on WG points mentioned during CV rework video
IanH755 replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
Just watched a Flambass video where his "HE" bombs are doing 18K+ damage to BB's and Cruisers AND starting fires - 2 full runs (2-3 minutes total) was enough to kill a Yamato due to DOT - Yeap I'm glad this is in Testing as wow this gameplay is awful right now. A Worcester (best AA ship in game) couldn't kill his attack squadron (did damage it) when using Def AA which Flambass flew through - It damaged 80% of the planes but they all made it through - So AA "counter-play" looks to be garbage compared to it's current form. -
T3 Operation "Saving Transylvania" - How did it go for you? (Funny/Bad stories).

It's official - WG players are EDIT! 3 games, 3 defeats and no-one, NO-ONE listened to ANY advice! Blade - Catapults are a nightmare when NO BB's knock them out EDIT Jackel - Knock out the Catapults, DD's all used smoke at the start and chase Rear BB's EDIT Igor - Burn all the boats, Cruisers chase rear BB's, DD's killed by Catapults or sit in smoke So I finally got sick and tired of this and FINALLY found a team with more than 1 brain cell. The amount of people playing who haven't even bothered to look at the WG website just to understand what they're supposed to do in this Op is amazing and their incompetence shows through! EDIT I'm not touching the T8 game or the submarines, WG can lick my taint if they think I'm going through that! -
Alexander Ovechkin mission ready to be activated
IanH755 replied to Klopirat's topic in General Discussion
Yeap, not worth it. The whole collection is only 12 items (each group of four only earns a emblem for your patch too) so only really consider buying more than that if you want more of the special signals as well as the collection. -
Yamamoto - 50 containers for £74 gets 600 special flags and 100 collection items worth 1.5 Million credits - more credits, around the same amount of flags but no camos compared to Bismarck which, with 600 flags, would still give 150 camos as well.
-
I think it's getting worse and here's why - June '17 Bismarck containers - 50 containers for £77 October '18 Hockey Containers - 24 containers for £77 Rewards per Bismarck container - 7 or 14 Special Flags, 1 collection item, 0 or 7 camos depending on number of flags. Rewards per Hockey container - 10 Special Flags, 1 collection item, 10 Camos So for the same £77 you get - Bismarck - 350 to 700 Special Flags, 50 collection items (worth 750,000 credits), upto 350 Camos (again depending on number of flags) Hockey - 240 Special Flags, 24 collection items (worth 360,000 credits), 240 camos It's not hard to see just how different the rewards are with nearly 18 months between them.

[Co-Op] - Almost managed to secure myself a 6th kill but the GK from his max range stole the final 200hp on the CV I had burnt down. The a couple of 4-Kill "mini-Krakens" with new award. and finally, a Full AA specc'ed Yamato vs a TX Hakuryu in a 1 on 1 where the CV threw every plane he had at me and only got 3 torp hits for his trouble. I love being AA specced! -
The New Co-Op Kraken Achievement - Thank You WG! (edit - it's only temporary!)

Collected a few of these now, it really does make a difference being "awarded" these, even if after the event they stayed as "non-reward" versions I'd still be extremely happy! -

IanH755 replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
The more people within the Circle the faster the Tranny moves and, the faster the ship moves, the less time you have to protect the Tranny before more & more Bots arrive. So the plan is to go as slow as possible meaning you should keep just 1 ship within the circle (slowest Tranny speed) and the rest around the outside, preferably at the front (ignore the bots spawning behind you, they can do nothing). -

The biggest issue I found from my single run through so far is that people see the "REPAIR" icon for the circle so everyone rushed into the circle (despite being full health) for repairs and then complained that the ship was too fast - FML -

Me too I was hoping it would be permanent but it looks like it'll disappear once the "hockey player" collection finishes. I'll edit the OP with this info. -

[Co-Op] - Ended up getting the Cossack and had a nice first game but bloody hell it's a citadel monster on close cruisers!!! And then I got the "new" Co-Op Kraken Award!!!!!!!!!! which gives you 4 of this camo once a day That was my biggest worry as someone who always specs for AA and really enoys the AA side of the game regarding skills, positioning and protecting my team mates etc. -
You have another misunderstanding He meant that he would not buy the Atago again but if the perma-camo was sold on its own he would buy just the perma-camo (usually 3000 doubloons).
-
There are two "Black Friday" camos - There's a "one use only" buyable Black camo just like the Union Jack, US flag, Frosty Fir etc and it will probably be available to buy in packs of 100 or 200 etc. There is a separate Black Perma-Camo which is only available if you buy the ships. Most people seem fine with the One Use Only camo, it's the separate Perma-Camo people are, IMHO, over-reacting to.
-
See, thats the part I find hard to understand - How will a "black" coloured ship, identical in specs to another, "lead towards a worse game"? I genuinely don't see how it could happen so maybe I'm being a bit blind or maybe I'm too stupid to understand so help me out here so please tell me "how"!
-
A "cashgrab"? - Is someone being mugged? No-one, and I say that again, NO-ONE but WG is being hurt by this sale, NO-ONE! There is no "cashgrab", WG aren't "forcing" people to buy the ship - They're saying "hey here's a Tirpitz with a different camo - if you want it then you can buy it and if you don't, then don't" - it's your choice whether you give WG your money or not, YOUR CHOICE, so again this sale effects NO-ONE but WG and those very few people who actually want to buy the ship. I also wonder how many genuine actual real buyers (rather than "pitch-fork" types) would genuinely spend money to "pre-order" this new "Black" Perma-camo for their ships to show WG how much desire there is for yet another "same bonuses as all the rest" Perma-Camo which happens to look bloody awful? I'm betting that the actual amount of people willing to spend actual money for a "same bonuses as the rest" Perma-Camo would make WG a lot less money than people buying these ships, regardless of how many people are actually "claiming" they'd buy it instantly! You mean there will be some people who won't read the text in the advert, well in that case I have no sympathy.
-
People didn't have this reaction during the Kamikaze, Kamikaze-R & Fujin sales so I am genuinely confused as why people are complaining about this as, to me, it just feels like there's nothing there to complain about. If you do want the ships - buy them. f you don't want the ships or the camos - don't buy them, so WG has lost money because of this. If you don't want the ships but can afford the individual use camos - buy the individual use camos (100x or 200x etc). If you don't want the ships and can't afford the individual use camos - WG has lost money because of this. If you don't want the ships but want a permanent camo - you can't so again WG has lost money because of this. I don't see how any of those choices is somehow "bad" for players as no-one other than WG is hurt by this sale. I personally won't be buying the Ships as I already own them but I may buy the individual use camos if the bonuses are good enough but, again, no-one is "hurt" by this sale other than WG who may not make as much money as they could, so I can't understand the "hate" for this.

Hi @Tuccy any chance of an update on this bug? There's lots of example on pages 3-4 of something wrong with plenty of video and replays etc for evidence yet it's been 3 months without an Update.

[Co-Op] - Last one for the week, after unlocking the Conq-MegaZao-ueror I find it extremely frustrating to play, you either do nothing (mostly) or you have an epic game (rarely) and there's nothing much between! However, it's AA suite is fantastic, as these 50 TX plane kills show and, once again, if you spec for AA the game does reward you! -

[Co-Op] - While I still prefer the "stealthy" nature of the Shimakaze - There's something to said for the "minigun-DD" gameplay style! But my favourite still has to be playing AA ships, and the game really rewards you if you do Spec AA! and finally, yes it happens even to me - A completely potato team who left just me alive vs a Gneis and a Normandie. I used my smoke the best I could and tried to lead them away whilst torping but died to the most rapid "snap-shot" I've ever seen a Bot do as my detected went of and less than 1 second later the shells were in the air with 3 of the 4 shells hitting me, FROM A GNEIS!!! -

I went too as a "guest" of WG having won a competition, played the "in-testing" Belfast for the first time, got a WG goodie bag and even got myself on WG's post-event video advert thanks to MrConway. It also helped that I lived 30mins away from the Dockyard too TBH!

I have just suffered from a great example of this in my Minotaur in a Co-Op game - I locked onto a Groz (Bot) who smoked as I fired my first accurate salvo and I lost lock. He then sailed out of the smoke (bot behaviour) a second later and I regained the lock immediately yet my next 9 salvoes at around 6km to 5km were all "high dispersion" (i.e. same as shooting without a lock). After around 30 seconds of shooting with poor dispersion I manually locked onto another ship, then manually tried to lock back on to the Groz which died before I could achieve a lock. The next ship behind the Groz was a Minotaur which I locked onto and my dispersion was back to normal. So in this event - Lock onto ship Ship disappears Ship reappears within 1 second with lock already applied Shoot at ship with "no lock" dispersion Manually re-target ship Dispersion now correct I've attached the Replay and this takes place at 18:25 with the Groz shooting at me while dropping smoke and I shoot one "good salvo" before he disappears for around 1 second and then my 9 salvoes after are garbage and you can see me looking around for another ship to target - http://www.ianhenshall.com/20181011_205653_PBSC110-Minotaur_37_Ridge.wowsreplay I've also attached a bunch of screen shots in the Spoiler below showing the dispersion against both the Groz and the Minotaur -
