[Co-Op] - Just using USN Heavy AP on 2 BB's, 3 Cruisers and a DD with a 4/5 health Musashi next on the menu but the game ended (what a waste)!!!!! -
If it's a 1990's refit of the Iowa class then TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!
-
..................and a team capable of understanding that!
-
Considering how wide spread English is taught through-out Europe, and how simple some of the F-Key quick commands are, there's a large number of folks playing who like to "play deaf" when asked to do something!
-
Minotaur is THE best Co-Op ship in-game! When they first came out it was common to see bot Minos with 4-5 kills as humans had no idea just how lethal they were and showed a little broadside and BOOM! I think I'd struggle if I tried to go back to PvP now due to your first point about bots making you change your behaviour with the DM and Moskva being good example where it's extremely rare to flank these ships in PvP yet with bots it's very common so you are forever moving around rather than staying fairly static bow in.
-
One issue I see a lot of in Co-Op is people have been "trained" by the PvP meta to be very passive and I'm seeing higher numbers of PvP players than ever using Co-Op to complete missions etc. So now you got lots of generally more "passive" players who, as soon as they get focused by the bots, run away or hide behind islands, which works to a degree in PvP but in Co-Op it's 95% of the time better to charge the bots instead. Or you the alternative which is PvP players just yolo'ing to a ram just to get "win X games" missions done ASAP. I'm sure there's some PvP players at higher tiers who are very surprised at just how "hard" Co-Op can be at times, despite being almost guaranteed a win.

[Co-Op] - Put my 14 point OvenChicken into my Iowa and, while the match started off quite slowly, it turned into a nicely epic brawl in the B cap against a torping Yorck, a New Orleans and a Iowa who just kept auto-bouncing salvoes of my armour and let me citadel him when he beached. During all the mayhem I just left my 1058dps AA guns to work over the poor T7 CV, destroying his strike capability and tanking his attacks for my side before citadelling him to bits. UPDATE - Just played a very fun Worcester game where I AP'd more than I HE'd and still did rather well - -
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Nope!!! The "left" side had me and the 6 kill Seelowe who tried to carry, the right side had melted by the time they got to the 1st cruiser (Zikasa's killed 1 and damaged 2 others so much that the single Octopus killed them), and the scrap in the middle was no different to Easy mode but we had just 3 ships left. I surfaced under a boat (doh), one of the Barracudas rammed Rasputin and the 6 kill Seelowe surfaced into torps. ***EDIT*** - The very next match! Two people to carry and a team which was already good enough makes for an easy 5 star win -
-
From that it looks like it's best to spot the castle and catapults first, then wipe out all the surface ships EXCEPT Rasputin and only after all the ships are dead and catapults/castle spotted can you go for Rasputin? From the easy mode that people are used to I'd guess people will still just charge in ignoring catapults spotting and try and sink Rasputin quickly leading to lots of 2-3 star wins.

[Co-Op] - More "US BB's killing planes for better Base XP" goodness in my new Montana. I also took 1.9million potential damage which is pretty high for Co-Op! -
They've used them for a while but it seems to be done at random, i.e. a Des Moines may use Def AA but not Radar to spot the smoked DD etc. Hydro seems to be the most widely used for what I've experienced.

Could we introduce a radio command like "ignore that ship"?
IanH755 replied to Praevasc's topic in General Discussion
Along the same idea I'd like to see the useless "swearing" key replaced with "target has repaired damage" so people know 'why' they should start to shoot at your target, as most people will ignore the more common "Focus that target" command because they don't always know 'why' they should be shooting at it. -
HI all, While I like the Arsenal I do have on major issue with it, and that is you can only buy "single" purchases leaving no option for multiple purchases i.e. If I want 40 signals I have to click each "Buy", "OK" & "Return to Menu" prompt 4 times as each pack is 10 signals per purchase, which means a huge amount of clicking and time wasted when I want to buy multiple amounts of items, usually signals or camos. For an example, I think with the RN sovereigns I had 240 left over so I bought 30 packs of AA signals and 30 Secondary ones (Co-Op life) and with each single purchase needing 3 clicks to buy that took me 60 x 3 = 180 clicks and with each taking 5 seconds per purchase that was 5 solid minutes of clicking! Would it be hard to add a "how many items do you want to buy" option or similar where, if I want to buy 40 or 400 or 4000 signals, I can just select "how many items do you want to buy" and type 40 or 400 or 4000 or what ever number I want (in multiples of 10) in a similar way to the Doubloons screen in the Shop or the Inventory Screen in-game? I would suggest that is only seems to be an issue with Camos and signals as they are the items most sold in packs of 10 which is where the issue is mostly recognised, rather than say for ships and captains etc which you only buy 1 of.
-
Arsenal - Option to buy multiple "packs" of signals and camos rather than just single please!

Absolutely 100% - A cart system would be a great solution for both issues! -

[Co-Op] - More plane killing Missouri shenanigans with a nice Base XP boost from it - Plus a few 4-Kill Hauls added too - 1st the Shima proving that playing it as a Torp boat is a mistake when it's secretly a HE monster like the Harugumo (only slightly sarcastic) and an OK game in the Cossack killing other DD's like it's nothing! -
This simple fact is forgotten by the vast majority of people who complain about player skill - The game has NO SKILL CAP - all you have to do to progress is just play games, nothing more, and you will be playing a T10 ship within 4-6 months and 2k-3k games. You never ever need to "learn" ANYTHING about the game, not even a single little bit, you just have to play lots of games. Just be glad that there is some players who actually DO want to improve and it is that 25-50% (at most) which keeps the game fun for those who want to get better themselves. Now, why is there no skill cap - Well imagine you're WG and you want money from people. If you stop people playing at lower tiers because they suck then those players will leave the game and you get NO money from them. So if you instead make "number of games played" the only rule on moving up the tiers, even those very poor players on less than 400XP per match will still be able to get a nice shiny T10 ship within 3k games and they'll be feeling great with themselves for getting to T10 (see how good I am at playing!!!) and they're more likely to spend money on the game if they're happy. Now there's a financial balance to be kept between losing "skilled" players who buy things and keeping potatoes who buy things and, as we've already seen, there's more potatoes than skilled players so guess who WG, who JUST want money (as a business thats great), care about keeping?

Flambass was using the Gerfalcon "wrong" at the start of his video where he was shooting front torps then swinging around to use rear ones. By the time he got to Rasputin he'd got the right idea, you use the front torps to stun from 2-3km, then keep sailing at the ship, dive under it and use the rear torps which can be a bit tricky to aim initially. That way you're always sailing forward towards the Castle but still doing massive damage.

1 Year of Co-Op/PvE - Analysis of 1300 games (XP, Credits etc) using MxStats.
IanH755 posted a topic in General Discussion
Hi All, Well this'll be a boring thread for most people as I have no comparison to PvP stats to plot against but I thought it would be interesting to see my stats from the last 365 days of nothing but Co-Op and PvE games, which has amounted to a whopping 1.5Gb of replay files, that I've run through MxStats to create an Excel file for my stats. Also, I've run premium time and most economic/special signals & camos for the whole time so bare that in mind as it effects the XP totals - Total Co-Op Games 1198 Total PvE Games 100 Total Amount of Training Room Battles 2 Total Amount of Victories 1260 Total Amount of Defeats 56 Total Amount of Draws = 4 (table screwed up) Total XP earned 5,408,311 Total Free XP earned 3,657,698 Total Credits Profit (earned minus costs) 161,901,304 Total Damage 113,921,691 Total Ships Sunk 2,948 Total Aircraft Shot Down 11,528 Average XP earned 4,160 Average Free XP earned 2,829 Average Credits Profit (earned minus costs) 124,731 Total Co-Op Games as Top Tier 728 (60.7%) Total Co-Op Games as +/-1 Tier 253 (21.1%) Total Co-Op Games as Bottom Tier 218 (18.2%) Most ships sunk in One Co-Op Game 7 in the Okhotnik Most Aircraft Shot Down in One Co-Op Game 82 in a Worcester Highest Damage in One Co-Op Game 283,971 in a Missouri Most ships sunk in One PvE Game 19 in Blyskawica for 2018 Dynamo Most Planes Shot Down in One PvE Game 69 in the Atlanta for Op Hermes Highest Damage in One PvE Game 528,350 in Svyatozar for Halloween Total amount of PvE Stars Won 310 Additionally here is the number of "3 Daily Crates" I've opened in the last 365 days along with a breakdown of what crates I picked, some of which were auto-picked by the game when I went past 24hrs without claiming any when I had the XP to do so. I've decided not to include any Premium crates I bought (and it's a boat load - I'm a whale) and just keep it those 3 daily crates instead - Total Number of Non-Premium Crates Opened 751 Number of Credits Crates Opened (auto picked by game) 9 Number of Consumables Crates Opened (auto picked by game) 9 Number of Resources Crates Opened 253 Number of Signals Crates Opened 276 Number of Try Your Luck Crates Opened 170 Number of Super Containers Opened (inc for T10 ships/Campaigns etc) 34 Number of Ships won from Super Containers 0 Total Amount of Coal from Resources Crates 43,200 So why do I play Co-Op? Well to me, after playing 1300 PvP games when I first started in April '16 I decided to play Co-Op instead by Oct '16 because I found that my particular play-style (hyper aggressive brawling) didn't match the PvP meta any more and games started to get stale and boring, leading me to eventually YOLO just to try and have some fun and annoying everyone on my team. So after learning the PvP game and building a nice foundation of credits and ships I didn't find the move to Co-Op to be as bad economically as some would and my skills learned in PvP made me a very good PvE player. One addition to the game however has made the economy much less painful as it was previously which is all the new special signals, from the original 3-4 to the newest bunch just added a few months ago. With the additional XP increase in the past year I've been able to add another three T10 ships to my line-up for a total of 9 while still building my number of 19 point Captains to over 20 now. The biggest "gameplay" change I've seen this year hasn't been the stealth-fire removal or any Bot AI tweaks but the increase in number of T10 players in Co-Op, starting around spring this year. So where previously there may only be 1-2 human T10 ships per game that is now the exception while the new "normal" is 6-8 human T10 players in every match which makes for a much more exciting gameplay situation. Anyway, now I've gathered all this info it's time to delete it all and start again, I think I could use the 1.5GB back from all the replays I'll delete TBH! If you have any questions about these stats or just random Co-Op chat etc just ask away but lets try and keep the somewhat inevitable "OMG, why even bother when PvP earns more? What's the matter, can't beat humans?" etc talk out of this thread please! EDIT - Got Coal figure wrong, screwy Excel stuff!- 12 replies

Yeap, As mention in the Op I run as many as I can (again, Whale) plus lots of games in high earningT8+ Premium ships. I screwed up the Coal figure (something weird in excel), the correct figure is 43,200 Coal rather than 210K+, should pay more attention and not depend on Excels "Sum" function! -

[Co-Op] - I keep saying it but spec'ing for AA and getting plane kills is very highly rewarded, shame CV's are almost non-existent in PvP. and I have now played exactly 1300 games in exactly 1 year according to MxStats and what a way to finish a whole years worth of gameplay (I've 1.5GB of replays!!!!!!) -
Despite carrying the team like I'm Atlas with the world on my shoulders, there are still some games with far too many idiots who couldn't find a clue if they were dribbling on it, even after all of them had already played the bloody mission before (no achievements for 1st play) and 1/2 being in Clans which means they "should" have a basic understanding of the game! However I had some very good games too now I know the "tricks" for most XP and how to best use each sub (still stuck with Zipper though, its torps are awful).
-
For me the lack of any "signal" additions in this mode means that the XP gain is very minimal i.e only 4k captain XP on a good game, whereas even in low earning Co-Op a 500 base XP game can net you upto 18k Captain XP because you can add signals and a Random game can get you much more. So while that 4k maybe handy for a lot of players, for myself it's a fairly large amount of potential Elite Captain XP I'm losing per game.

I deliberately avoided any "how to play" videos of this mode as I wanted to see how hard it was for "potatoes" to do this. I'd won the Gerfalcon during the Sunray Op so maybe this made it easier for me (not sure) but this was a very VERY easy 5 star win. I started on the right side and went along to the top right hitting everything but at the 1/2 way point my side was empty of ships (still spotting Catapults) and all the bots were in the left/middle so the last 3-4 minutes were boring as I didn't even get to fight the Rasputin or even see a DD. Good Points - Easy to dive/surface, "Ice" torps are good for knocking out enemy ships, good selection of bots to fight. "Bad" Points - Well not really bad as such but, hard to control direction of torp aimer as it seemed to swing wildly at times, GerFalcon has rear facing torps (didn't know) and nothing "in-game" tells you that so my first attack was awful after I stunned a ship but couldn't select "kill" torps as the enemy was infront of me, the GerFalcon handling is very poor and the key combination of F+C meant I pressed the wrong key quite a few times, the "burning" screen effect was on even though I wasn't on fire at times after surfacing. So enjoyable, quick and fun but lacks rewards and therefore replay value i.e. now I've 5 starred on my first go and the XP is "low" due to the lack of flags etc, why would I play more etc (I probably will just to try out the different subs). ***EDIT*** - Once you know the Op and the Sub you can really rack-up a nice damage score!
