Thats wrong, it swaps Captain XP into Free XP, which might be useful if you need some extra Free XP for a ship upgrade but really isn't the best way of doing that.

[Co-Op] - Is it still Seal Clubbing if it's against Bots??? After getting sick of the influx of T8-10 PvP players into random (yay, everyone gets a single kill and low XP, YAY!!!) I dropped into my GC which TBH can be a bit hit or miss for me but this game was all hits! I only just missed out on a 7th kill by about 0.5 second as a Danae salvo landed just before mine on a 400hp Cruiser which would have been a nice kill "secure" but props to the team who, as 6 out of 8 were new players (less than 90 PvP games), were just awful which is a problem for WG to sort. I mean 90 games and T5 already and still with no idea of how to play which allowed me to dominate the middle of the map and solo 3 BB's, 2 Cruisers and a CV .

Yeap, Elite Captain XP is far more valuable to me than Free XP but I'm guessing there will be some who swap it. This mistake gets made constantly, by myself especially (created two threads just like this one), due to WG's naming convention.

Hi all, There's a lot of confusion regarding this and @MrConway has given use some more info now around how this works (info below) and apologised for the poor wording in the shop (should be changed soon) - If you have BOTH a Black ship - either bought in the ship or won via crates - and a Non-Black version of the same ship then you need to play a single game in the Black ship first to unlock the 2500 Doubloon Mission. At that point you can ONLY use the Non-Black version to complete the 10x 250 doubloon missions to get all 2500 doubloons. If you have ONLY the Black version of a ship - either bought in the ship or won via crates - then you can unlock the doubloon mission but you CAN'T complete the steps. I have the Tirpitz/Tirpitz B and Massachusetts/Massachusetts B so I played a game in each Black ship and now I have the Doubloon Mission for both ships which can only be completed in the Non-Black versions of each ship. I hope that clears up any confusion people are having.

I stopped playing Scenarios about 3-4 months ago as having to depend heavily on even just 2-3 others to not be potatoes for a win was too much for me when I watched players in T6 ships who couldn't even understand some of the very basics of the game doing some utterly retarded stuff like Ru Cruiser 152mm AP vs Bow on BB, no torp bomber dodging, hydro ships not hydro'ing, Def AA ships not Def AA'ing, not shooting until a bot was a one shot kill, not using any map awareness at all etc etc .

Thats exactly my tactic too and it works brilliantly. My biggest current issue with Co-Op is the horrific map design which makes this a corridor shooter for most high tier. It isn't an issue in PvP but in Co-Op it means that bots in one "corridor" are unable to be shot by humans in another corridor so you end up with lots of very low XP (<500XP) 1-2 kill games which is just boring. Map design should allow people to support one another so someone in A cap can support B etc which a lot (but not all) of the original maps can do whereas the new versions of North, Island of Ice etc are just 1 dimensional boring corridor shooters now.

[Co-Op] - I got extremely lucky with the bots in this game as 6 of the 8 bots headed straight for me and the Iowa I was flanking with. I'll be honest I had absolutely no idea I'd killed 5 ships when the match ended as I was so busy clicking secondaries, clicking planes and brawling with BB's and torp Cruisers that I lost "game awareness" it was that hectic Then I tried out the new and improved gun accuracy of the Atago by virtually ignoring the guns and torping everyone to bits instead Then I tried out my new Tirpitz Black and was completely unsurprised when it did exactly the same as a normal Tirpitz can do

That minimap combined with hidden stats, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I always wonder how many people that "camo settings" stuff will catch out that but, as they don't use the forum, they will never know why their ships have no camo

Nope, and the Perma-Camo is high gloss and shiny whilst the Black-Lurker camo is more matt/dull and doesn't cover the deck. The Tirpitz Black perma-camo looks good!

I never said I got a good deal, not once in my quoted post is the word good used. In fact I never described being happy or sad with the crates, not even once, I just listed what I got as the OP requested. As for whether I think the crates were good/bad I said the Asashio is probably not going to get used much (is that a negative?) and I did say that getting two identical ships (that I already own) was "nice" which some might say is a good thing, so I don't know if that is what has confused you.

Correct, as a native English speaker (unlike most of WG) the statement used in the shop means you can use the Tirpitz B and ALSO the Tirpitz. it does NOT say that you can use ONLY the Tirpitz, so WG have either made a mistake in the Shop text (translation error) or made a mistake in the Mission requirements (software error) but either way there is a mistake. However, the "conditions" text says - Conditions: simply enter battle on Tirpitz to claim 250 doubloons and I would suggest that is wrong and the mission should be for both Tirpitz versions based on the language used through-out the advert.

I did NOT get any Doubloon Mission for the 3 ships I got via the Crates.

Bought 24 crates and I got - Tirpitz B - Already own - Worth £26.92 Massachusetts B - Already own - Worth £27.40 Asashio B - New Ship - Worth £20.64 42 Days of Premium Time - 3x 14 days - Cost included in Black Lurker Camo amount 5000 Doubloons - 4x 1250 - Worth £16.14 210,000 Free Xp - 6x 35,000 120x Black Lurker Camo - 6x 20 - Worth £40.92 10x Type 56 Camo - 1x 10 - Worth £4.49 So I spent £69.30 and received £136.51 worth of items plus 210k Free XP. As I play Co-Op the Asashio isn't very suited to that format so I'm not sure how much use it'll get and I already have the Atago so I'll not be buying any more containers to try and win that. Tirpitz and Massa are my two favourite BB's so having another version is nice.

Once you've played for a longer time and get used to WG's mission requirements you'll end up using Co-Op too, to help speed things up like - "Win 10 battles" = 10x five to seven minute games in Co-Op or 20-30x ten to 20 minute games in Random "Get XXX secondary hits" - Only takes 1-2 games in Co-Op as the bots programming means they charge into your secondary range more than humans would "Get XXX Torp hits" - Usually easier in Co-Op as, again, the bots AI isn't the greatest BUT torps in Co-Op are, for 75% of the time, only for 1-3km use as bots dodge like a boss. However there are requirements which are worse to attempt in Co-Op like "Get XXX Base XP" - Much better to use Random "Earn XXX Credits" - Less enemy ships so less damage done and less credits "Get XXX Potential Damage" - Less enemy ships shooting at you so takes longer

I suppose it's time try and ask for this again - Hi @Tuccy any chance of an update on this bug? There's lots of example on pages 3-4 of something wrong with plenty of video and replays etc for evidence yet it's been 4 months without an Update. Anything will do, even just a "still looking" comment, just something to let the community know that WG gives a crap about fixing bugs they found out about 4 months ago would be nice!

You can't go under a Steel Rat, you've got to kill them from distance sadly, otherwise you get depth charged as you found.

When I started playing in Apr '16 it was the best map in the game for me, requiring dodging skill for a cruiser player to do well whilst DD's used to smoke the team and there were fewer BB's around (2-4 max normally) but the meta changes have ruined this map now.

Hi all, Seen as the first 30% off coupon seemed to be given to everyone I was wondering if a second batch had also just been given out of if I was just lucky? EDIT - I just checked and the coupon can be used for the two lower Vanguard/Dreadnought packages (6pt captain pack and no captain pack).

Vanguards accuracy looks like it'd be fun in Co-Op but the high citadel matched to the bots insane citadel accuracy up close kept me from buying it before I could see how well others do in it first.

[Co-Op] - It's getting much harder to get "good" games now Co-Op is flooded with PvP scum players (who I respect obviously) doing the RN missions in "easy" mode which means that, as even a noob can usually get 1 kill in Co-Op, it's difficult to find a game where you can can even kill 3 ships, never mind 5 or more. However my trusty Harugumo has served me well and is fast becoming my favourite ship! In this game I really should have got a 6th kill but the CV, who played very well but got an oddly low score for the work, took the kill with my 3 fires seconds away from getting it over from his flood damage. [Scenario] - 7 Kills, 458k Damage & a 1 star win because. despite the Op being played for nearly THREE weeks, people are still colossal -bags!

We've had this OP for nearly THREE WEEKS and there are still MORONS players who have NO CLUE what they are doing, leading to 7 kills and 458k damage getting just 1 star whilst my "team" is ignoring (or not understanding) simple map click instructions

Good point, I've been playing about 2.5 years so it could be linked to that anniversary stuff again.
