What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Zero offence intended as this is WG's fault but also a whole bunch of new players Seal Clubbed into potentially not playing any more - Well Done WG, your new RB is working well at killing off new players! -

[Scenario - Narai] I really like the mission, I have a bunch of really fun T7 boats and I'm bloody good vs bots so I always have a blast but there's only so much carrying 1 man can do (see Jingles latest video). I've reported this finding before but if you have 2 or less 50%+ WR players in your team then you might as well quit the game immediately, there is no way on earth you will win. If you have three 50%+ WR players you "might" win as those 3 people alone can carry the game most of the time and in this game I had 2 very good surviving team mates who helped out massively for a 4 star win. PS - Of the 14 kills, 9 were fighting ships and 5 were transports. [Co-Op] Just unlocked the Zao, never really got on well with it during testing on the PTS until I had an epic 8 kill PvP game on there so thought I'd give it a go on Live and I still like it (I test all the lines I'm interested in on PTS first - Hindenburg still sucks to me!) -
What ship did you instantly fell in love with and why? (Include your build)

Molotov - The ultimate Glass Cannon or, for a non-premium ship, the old T8 Fubuki which was love at first sight until WG decided that the IJN torp boats needed to be trashed because BB captains couldn't cope with pressing A-D once a minute! -
Event Results – The Battle of Savo Island

While I think it's good to see WG finally take notice of theis and the 10k Euro recruitment drive featuring a "German" Bot storm, I'm still surprised that it it took a Reddit post from dozens of players posting evidence before we get WG staff to check these things, considering how easy it is for WG themselves to check for botting, especially when some are so dumb they played 24/7 for a month and still weren't caught! -

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, 50% of the "top scorers" have their account private, thats seems extremely non-suspicious. I mean it's not like giving rewards for "number of games played" could have had any unintended consequences at all. https://old.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/cqu2h2/several_afk_bot_accounts_win_savo_island_premium/ -

[Co-Op] - Doing the 2nd stage of the Gamescon Mission - Get 1200+ Ribbons in a T5-10 German Ship - 2nd game had this epic blast, took another 10 to finish it because Co-Op sucks donkey bits nowadays! It's just so full of humans sailing Torp boats (myself included as it's the only way to get XP in 90% of games), meaning a BB gets 4-5 salvos away at most before the game is over in 3min 47 sec with 2 full health BB's left alive when the enemy team hits 0 points! -

Gamescon Mission Stage 3 broken - Or just me being dumb (it is likely!)
IanH755 posted a topic in General Discussion
EDIT - in a shocking surprise to absolutely no-one, it looks like the website date is wrong and the start date should be the 22nd August. Hi all, I've completed the Gamescon Mission stage 1 a few days ago and earlier today I completed stage 2 (see the camos in my reward area) yet after playing a Yorck in Co-Op and getting over 3000FXP, stage 3 of mission which the website says also started today, hasn't completed and I have no 2018 camos or 2019 Flag. Here's the images, what am I missing or is it a WG issue? Requirements Yorck Game Finished stage 2 and got 3x Gamescon camos So I've done everything right as far as I can see but no Stage 3 completion - Earn 1880 Free XP = Check German T5-10 Ship = Check In Co-Op = Check Between the dates specified = Check Having completed Stage 2 = Check So can someone see what I'm missing? I've done this sort of thing before and it's been something very obviously so I'm fully aware that it's probably me being a dumbass -
As the Halloween event proved - Submarines, as much as I liked them, will cause absolute havoc on any ship without the means to detect them such as Radar, Hydro, Planes etc. Unless the Subs are kept to Scenarios then, if they hit the Live PvP Server using the same mechanics as the Halloween event (but tweaked), you'll see a poop-storm which makes the CV-rework look like childs play.

in a shocking surprise to absolutely no-one, it looks like the date is wrong and the start date should be the 22nd August. And how did I find this out, I checked on........THE RU SERVER - THE ONLY NON-ENGLISH WEBPAGE, which had the right dates when all 3 English speaking servers had the wrong one. Absolutely no Russian Bias jokes there at all WG! -

Yeap, no 2019 flag, no "completion" in the bottom of the post match screen, no extra camos, nothing in the Rewards screen etc. Also, I can't see the mission anywhere in my Missions tab, not combat or Personal which make me think it's a website issue rather than me - i.e. the website date is wrong. -
Honestly it makes no difference what things you'd like to see in-game, WG has their own plans and they all seem to involve annoying the player-base until it quits, leaving the game in a state like WoWPs, a deserted game.

WG completely ing up a simple task and still being utterly surprised by the players reaction just shows that they are a joke of company with absolutely ZERO understanding of what the playerbase actually want! Hey @Sub_Octavian remember over on Reddit when I said WG kept making "poorly thought-out initial ideas" and proved this by pointing out over ten major mistakes WG made since Jan '19 yet you called me "naive" - Well, you see the angry reaction here and on Reddit from yet another WG PR disaster, best you add another "poorly thought-out initial idea" to the list of major PR disasters, or am I still being "naive" dude? Jesus, how hard is it to actually ASK WHAT PLAYERS WANT rather than just guessing because you guys are bloody awful at it. So far the vast majority of what you've done this year has been badly wrong, screwing up the PR and promising that "lessons are learned" then next month you do exactly the same thing all over again? Can WG even go a whole month without yet another PR -storm driving the players away due to WG's god-awful decisions?

@Migantium_Mashum - I use the 8km with Torp acceleration for 6.4km @ 81kts which is perfect for Co-Op. Depending on the enemy ships (radar/hydro etc) I smoke up, preferably near an island, and shoot the first DD to bits, then use a single narrow spread for every bot ship that comes near your smoke (bots will head for you) but only torp at 1-4km range (so no reaction time at 81kts) and you get results like those above where I got 17 "hits" out of 25 torps where, of those 7 that "missed", every one actually hit already dead ships (killed by the first 3-4 torps) so all 25 actually hit! So no fancy 10km+ torps being wasted as most bots programming now auto-dodges those, hence the difference between knowing "how" to play vs bots instead of humans. -

[Co-Op] - Spent 6 months away from the game (under 15 games since 0.8.0) and returned for a week or so, still got it If you position yourself well then the Shima can be utterly devastating! I also find that people who say DD's are poor against bots in Scenarios just need to play them better and/or understand the rules of Bot logic vs how you play against a human! -
ST, Naval Training Center, free Premium Consumables and improvement of the matchmaker.

Hi WG, After 3 years and 5300+ games I decided to spend 6 months away from playing this game because of the CV rework and only started playing again last week (just a dozen Co-Op games) and now this news dropped. Well I won't be playing WOWS or any of your games again so thanks for the extra money I'll have in my pocket and the extra free time I can now spend playing anything other than WG products! So long and thanks for all the fish! -
And I'm sure all the tank/ship players absolutely love that and never ever complain because of it :D

Same here, got 100-ish Premium ships, had a year of Premium, spent well over £2k over the past 3.5 years on the game (all those little bits add up quickly), played 1500+ games a year and yet since 0.8.0 I've spent nothing, bought nothing, played <30 games and seen the game I enjoyed and played most getting heavily damaged by the blunt tool that is WG's decisions. I like the community and hope the game will eventually be fun to play again, which is the only reason I still hang around, but from everything I see it's getting less and less likely everyday.

Hi all, As a Co-Op main player who specced virtually all of my 117 ships with some form of AA, I've just spent the last hour removing every single aspect of additional AA from all of those 117 ships and 100+ captains as there are no longer any AI CV's allowed in Co-Op, making any form of additional AA worthless. After de-speccing every ship I made 56m credits from selling both the AA Mod 1 & 2 modules and a few "increased health to AA/Sec Mounts" ones, for the ships which no longer need them (still kept on secondary ships though like Massa/Tirp etc). I also regained 7-11 captain points per captain from removing BFT/AFT/Man AA etc which opens up better build options for me too. Have any other Co-Op main players also done the same now AI CV's are extinct from Co-Op or am I being far too short-sighted?

When will the Operations gamemode be expanded/re-impelemented/re-worked?
IanH755 replied to All_up_in_ur_grille's topic in General Discussion
Op Dynamo with 6 DD's against multiple CV's with the new CV mechanic with rockets etc - That'll be "fun and engaging" -
WG please stop messing with my choice of harbours...
IanH755 replied to Deckeru_Maiku's topic in General Discussion
I use the Ocean port so seeing by GPU try to fry itself when WG decide to arbitrarily change the post without asking is just another reason WG and their decisions annoy me - "Hah, you like a certain port do you, well have this other one forced upon you with no opt out making you waste time changing the port back several times as we keep changing you to new ones" In the list of annoyances it's fairly minor TBH but all these dozens of "minor" ones just lead to yet more frustration with WG. -
Got a PM from wilkatis_LV, This is the work he carried out within the Training Room to prove that the GC bow 85mm plating IS still there - _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "I did a TR test, the 85mm is still there. Shot an overmatching (in this case - Yamatos) shell at the lower (waterline-ish) bow, got overpens exactly like I should with it in place. So it's simply not displayed there anymore, which I still find to be a very stupid thing to do. More info is better, we don't need hidden armour zones. If it's in a place where there's no way you could see it (like inside a closed box of other armour) - fine, but not armour plate that's visible like this one is / was. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
-
Not to cast aspersions, but do we know if this "it's still there but not shown" info has been actually confirmed with an external 3D model viewer, because I just don't trust WG enough to take what they say as "truth" without some verification anymore?
-
Just seen the prices - HAHAHAHA Everyday I feel better about the decision to slowly walk away for this game and this company. I've only played around 20 games this year compared to 1500+ last year (5k+ over 3 years) and like this just makes that decision feel easier every day!

WG STOP: Time to prioritise your customers and deal with bugs/glitches.
IanH755 replied to SeaWolf7's topic in General Discussion
So instead of a thread talking about the merits of bug-fixing vs new content all we get is folks arguing about the wording of a poll - You guys should all work for WG! For myself, I want the game fixed and stable and I'm willing to wait months without new content to make that happen - however, I also know that the "teams" at WG are separate so the "New Content" team can't do/doesn't do "bug fix" work, so no matter how much we want the bugs fixed it's not as simple as saying "hey, you new content makers, start fixing bugs!!!!".
