    Price drop on Premium Shop

    The GBP price is unchanged compared to a week ago. I know exchange rates from Euro to GBP have changed but you would expect to see some difference on a €3 drop but there's none so far.

    I have the Georgia so don't want to regrind 4-6 lines for the Ohio (in its current state). The Colbert was power-crept on release by the Coal based Smolensk which doesn't require regrind to earn. If the two current rewards hold no appeal to me then why would I choose to use the RB?

    Shells not rendering

    It was first noticed when Smolesk was released and shells would suddenly appear at 1/2 way to the target and its getting worse, with more people seeing this issue (not just Smolesk). This games core stability has taken a massive hammering recently with over a dozen new "glitches" so far this year but WG seem to only care about pooping out Premium ships for cash rather than fixing the increasingly more broken game core so who knows how long this'll take to fix, if ever.

    It's a new bug, been seen in streamers channels a few times + Reddit so lots of evidence, WG need to release 300 more T10 premium ships before they will fix it though /s

    AFK's

    Would it be bad if, with no movement (guns or ship itself) after 5 mins, AFK ships were sailed by a bot instead, so at least its doing something? A player who has never loaded (game crash etc) wouldn't lose/use any camo flags whilst a player who is loaded (guns move position at start) but AFK is treated as normal.

    As it used to be SC's for each each T10 and everyone was happy, I've no idea why WG felt the need to change the format, even if SC's feel very weak right now with most stuff available in the Armory. I'm hoping for steel but in the end its all free stuff so I'll be happy (if a little moaning) with whatever I get I suppose.

    A lootbox with a chance to drop a mission for 10 steel or you can buy premium Loot boxes with a higher chance to drop. Joking aside I'd say it will be identical to the original 2018 Snowflake event, which means Steel for Premium T8-10 & Tech Tree T9-10 and coal for Premium T2-7 & Tech Tree T5-8 and probably similar numbers for each too. So it was 200 steel for T8-10 premium ships, 50 steel for normal T9 ships and 100 steel for normal T10 ships. Coal was 300 coal for T2-4 premium ships, 400 coal for T5 premium ships, 600 coal for T6 premiums, and 1000 coal for T7 premiums. For normal ships T5 got 300 coal, T6 got 400 coal, T7 got 750 coal and T8 got 1000 coal. We'll see what happens shortly but IF that stays true then I'm in for a boatload of Steel.

    That bit me in the 2016 Xmas crates when I kept selling the Emdens rather than keeping one to prevent re-drops (had 7 in the end) and I still don't sail enough German ships to use up all 7 of the 10 point Captains I was left with.

    In Paris for my Birthday, popped into the Musee de l'Armee forgetting that I share my birthday with the start of WW2 and the place was packed with schoolkids learning about it for the 80th anniversary.

    You want me to swap Coal for signals, camos and credits - Sorry WG, I'm obviously not taking enough crystal meth for that deal to even begin to make sense but hey Sub Octavian, I guess that's just another "poorly thought-out initial idea" that WG came up with or do you think I'm still being "naive" about it?     Manual AA

    I remember I mentioned that, during the original CV PTS, I told everyone that WG weren't taking the AA rework seriously and were solely concentrating on just the CV and that it would bite WG massively. I was told by many here "don't worry, it's only the PTS" and yet 8 whole months later and the AA system, the ONLY way ships and CV's interact, has had to be completely rewritten and is wildly swinging from OP to worthless. I hate being right when it comes to guessing how badly WG will screw things up!
  12. Played around a dozen games against Co-Op Bot CV's - all extremely easy to dodge as their aim seems to be a little "off" to me.

They have Bot CV's in Co-Op now since 0.8.7 so I'd guess it's a "timing" issue for Cheery Blossom and Dynamo, i.e. the CV's wouldn't wait until a set trigger time before attacking from the airfields/CV's which would throw the timings all off. However you could do other stuff like spawn the CV's at different times rather than at the start etc but thats probably too simple to actually work if you're WG.

    Where do Secondary Shells get aimed at?

    I did a "where do secondaries aim" test when the Massa came out where I went into the training room and had 1000 secondary hits to an Iowa class BB at 1km (using Manual Sec) and all were belt shatters for zero damage. In the end only the fires those hits caused did damage. It was said at the time that a system which allows the user to target their secondaries at specific parts of the ship was a great idea but nothing came of it.

    You need to be a bit of a whale TBH as you use Free XP camos, the new signals like ouroborus etc and the older signals like papa papa etc you can easily rack up 20k Free XP a game. This was just a Scenario vs bots and yet you can "farm" the scenario for a huge amount of XP/Free XP/Credits consistently (did 60+ games like this with between 16k-25k Free XP over a few weeks for 750K Free XP).

For new players Co-Op should only be used as a teaching tool for the first 10 games or so to learn the basics of "how to move and shoot" rather than being used to learn tactics as PvP is much better at teaching that. However I've seen questions from people on here/reddit with 100+ games in Co-Op who don't actually know that there is a PvP mode, thats a little bit scary!

    It's probably loser to "Pay 2 Seal Club" but, as an IJN torp boat main when I first started 3.5 years ago, I just love this ship!

WG could help with tutorials which help new players understand just the basics so that by the time their reach T8 they should understand all these basics - T2 "how to use torps, difference between AP/HE" - great for DD/Cruisers etc T3 "how to angle and use damage control" - great for BB/Cruisers etc T4 "how to use a CV" T5 upwards - basics of radar/hydro, use of terrain/spotting mechanisms, map control etc etc Will this solve everything - Nope, not at all - but it'll raise the skill level a lot more than the current "no tutorial" system.
  21. TBH, when most players don't have the gameplay understanding to beat Scenario bots 4 times out of 5 (depending on the scenario) you know the general playerbase skill level is way lower than it should be!
  22. I've been here 3.5 years and it's just the way WG is going I'm afraid. The easier the game is made, the more potatoes will think they're doing great so spend money in the Premium Shop. The game is not about WG wanting to teach people to be skilful players, because that takes time/effort and may frustrate potatoes into quitting so losing WG money. So WG decided that instead of skill it should ONLY be about "number of games played" where more games = more T10's = more players unwilling to quit (invested time) = more people potentially spending money. For example, if you're stuck at T5 after 200 games you're more likely to quit that someone with 5x T10 ships and 3000 games, so WG decided make it easier for potatoes to get as rapidly to T10 as possible, with a severely broken XP economy, but because they rise to T10 so fast they never get the time to actually improve, hence so many "high-tier" games filled with players with awful stats (<40% WR etc). So now you have "new" players with T10 ships who don't know the basics and who never get better but keep grinding out 1000's of games at the same potato level, never improving. Imagine what it'll be like in another 2-3 years if you think it's bad now! At least at the moment there's still a core backbone of "experienced" players from 3+ years ago when players were more skilled to learn from (maybe bias but thats what I see). When all those quit in frustration it'll just be potatoes as far as the eye can see!
  23. [Scenario -Narai] - Well it's just too much fun when your team is filled with "good PR" players!!! We absolutely wiped the floor with the bots, so much so that we hit the "land 2000 troops" win condition so quickly we still had the last 5 bots to farm when it ended. It's also a little much to keep posting Narai stuff so unless I happen to solo the mission for 3k Base XP or something this'll be my last one for now. Oh, had a 7 kill 200k, 1.8k base XP DD game in the Jervis yesterday where I solo'd the Missouri! DD's are viable in Scenarios IF you know what you're doing which many seemingly don't!

[Scenario - Narai] - Played a bunch more Flint games, came top in all but one (damn "no dispersion front turret New York" got me in smoke so I died early) so I swapped over to the BB line to show people how to play a BB well against bots (too many poor BB/DD players in scenarios!). My team did OK until we entered the harbour when it all went a bit wrong. I entered with Assault Boat 1 and went almost bow on, tanking like a boss and managed a sneaky lob shot against the fleeing Lex for a surprise kill but by staying next to the repair ship and moving backwards slowly it forces bots with torps to miss you, so I ended up virtually soloing 6 ships (all 12 kills were fighting ships) with mains, secondaries & fires all getting multiple kills followed by a ram on the Colorado for the win as the DoY slowly came back from trying to cut off the Lex.
