Frequent crashes during the middle of the game when making a rapid maneuver or taking the first shot of the game. Mac OS. VERY frustrating.

0.7.4 System for Prevention of Unsporting Conduct

I just got a penalty when my game client crashed during a game...I "left the game early". Well, technically yes. But not anything I could do anything about. Kind of BS if you ask me. -
I agree. The new Minikaze is like a whipped dog. It just lies there and pees on itself. The Genevy is almost instant death. The Mutt is better. I never thought I would say that!

I like the new IJN DD camos. My wish would be a non-Halloween camo for my Fujin. I'm running it a lot more at T5 because the nerfed Minikaze is just...bad.

Magical Games: When RN Jesus Smiles Down on You

I thought I would start a new discussion after I game I played last night. Like everyone else on WOWS, I've had my share of "nightmare" games, especially driving the Atlanta. Those usually start out well but can end in a quick disaster. I hope some other players will share their "RN Jesus Smiles" games...where absolutely everything random goes your way. This dream game was with the Konigsberg, a "glass cannon" if there ever was one. I began the game with my usual move for this ship--moving to the back line and traversing the map to take advantage of my long range and accuracy and saving my HP until the second half of the game. Then I started sniping at cruisers when they came in range. I just love the primaries on the K-Berg loaded with AP. They can do a world of hurt with a few salvos. I hit three cruisers and took most of the HP from one. Then I was around the center of the map, still on the back line near our carrier. The K-Berg also shot down a couple of enemy planes. Then I pivoted back in the direction I came from since the game was going my team's way and I thought I needed to shift over to finishing off some wounded cruisers. I spotted two in bad shape. Three salvos, two kills. A Furutaka and a Karlsruhe, so nothing special or unexpected. The K-Berg should take them down. Not a bad game. I still had 2/3 of my HP left. So I thought it is time for me to go cap their base or maybe hunt down their carrier. But right after the Karlsruhe is dispatched, I realize there is a New York BB with 100% health coming straight at me but still behind an island. I waited for him to show and got in a few AP shots and planned to turn away in a strategic retreat and use the K-Berg's rear guns to do some more damage. But I also realized the New York is still coming on straight at my K-Berg full speed. So, some defensive torps are just the ticket. New York is just inside torpedo range. So I line him up and fire three narrow spread and the other three wide spread a few second later. I'm thinking he'll have to veer off and that will buy me time. In the meantime, I threw some more AP at him and score a few more hits. But just a short time later I hear the "bloop" and realize that some of my torps have hit him. Then more hit him. Five out of six hit him. He's gone. Unbelievable. I've never had that high a hit rate with torps. Evidently he just kept coming and never changed course. Major stupid. All right, I have had incredible luck. And I'm basically thinking the game is effectively over for me. I have three kills and the K-Berg is still 2/3 intact. But no! I sail through the little ship graveyard I have just created and what do I see in the distance? The enemy base which my team has not yet capped and even better I see his carrier! So I head that way flank speed. His carrier is the last ship on the enemy team. Our carrier seems to have a lot of bombers and torp planes left. The enemy does not seem to have much left in terms of planes. At least I do not see much aircraft activity. So I speed toward the carrier but think I am likely too late. Right before I get in range (and I have switched over to HE to set his deck on fire) I see around ten friendly torps in the water headed toward the enemy Hoshu (pardon me if I butchered the ship name). I thought what the heck and when I got just in range I fired the two guns that bore loaded with HE at the carrier deck. I think he was hit by three torps and then by a single HE shell from me. Believe it or not, I got the carrier kill. The biggest smile of the night from RN Jesus! Anyway, well over 400 XP and 110,000-plus damage points in a game with glass canon and RN Jesus smiling on me from start to finish. I'd be interested in similar "dream game" stories. -

You are correct about the Coop game and the bots as opponents. Guess I got a little carried away in the write-up, but yes it was fun and I guess I am surprised that the AI is not better than it is.
