I very much enjoy the T6 & T8 CV rework ty WG :)
HussarKaz replied to Fred3n's topic in Aircraft Carriers
Why? Are there any legal restrictions FORCING anyone to play DD? -
It's quite funny that communists that made this film had their own way to avoid forcing people to eat rotten meat... there was no meat available by most time in the entire Eastern Bloc.

USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
It is so fine that it has poor armor, poor handling, and is almost at the last place in the entire server by win rate, dpb, exp, even by destroyed planes. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
I am afraid that in Tier 8 12x406 mm (50 calibers long) would be tremendously OP. To make it T8 WG would have to give it crappy sigma like 1,5 so as a result it would be unplayable. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
Oh no. Please, no more Tier 8 US BBs. 3 is more than enough. The only Tier 8 US ship I would buy is a Lexington-class battlecruiser... And in Tier 8 we already have a North Carolina-class BB - the USS North Carolina. That's why I proposed USS Washington to be Tier 7 in Tier 7 US Navy has only the poor Colorado. The 1920 South Dakota looks more like Tier 9 to me. Would buy it anyway - someday. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
I know, I wrote it in connection with a statement you quote - sometimes letting air in was more than enough to sink a ship South Dakota of course remained on surface because of the reasons you've said about - if she got hit in the ammo storage it would end as big kaboom. Anyway, if Washington did not save her, she would surely gain next hits, some of which could be deadly. -

Ekhm ekhm. >HMS Invincible >HMS Hood >USS Arizona >and many more -
I think SMS Schleswig-Holstein would be an equivalent for Mikasa. And it is an icon, as a ship that started WW2. I would also LOVE to see in WOWS another iconic ship - the famous Battleship Potemkin. There is more iconic ships that would be pre-dreadnought Tier 2 BBs. USS Oregon, known mostly by its role in the battle of Santiago de Cuba And of course HMS Canopus, a pre-dreadnought that actually fought in WW1.

Learn english pls, then read what I wrote once again. By the way, in real battle Kirishima had much wider possibilities than in game - she and her squadron almost sent South Dakota to the bottom of the ocean. -

I want to have an opportunity to fight Washingtons in Kongo-class Japanese BB, like Kirishima did. Do you copy? -

WG probably does not introduce Pennsylvania and Tennessee because they are perfect for possible 2nd US BB line (tier 6 and 7). Due to the fact they were modernized a few times, WG has complete material for both stock and top modules. Anyway we already have Pennsylvania-class BB (Arizona on tier 6) and Tennessee is nothing more than a Colorado with 12x356 mm. The hull had the same scheme, other features like secondaries etc. were almost the same. -
This is why the special MM for Mikasa and possible future pre-dreadnoughts is a must.
-
Mikasa will be beaten to a pulp in every duel with Tier 3 BB. Pre-dreadnoughts should have special MM - tier 2 only (similiar to WoT where all Tier 4 heavies have special +1 MM instead of +2 typical for tier 4)

My great-grandfather fought in 1905 war (as many Polish people, he had to serve in Russian Imperial Army due to the fact Poland was occupied by Russia these days). He said that the Japanese army had huge advantage in technology. Japanese army was equipped in better quipment - they had much more modern rifles, better guns etc. The only way for Russians to gain advantage was to shorten the range of fight and try... a bayonet charge. In this kind of combat, Russian soldiers were unstoppable. After a few battles, Japanese knew that they should keep distance. In fleet, the situation was quite similiar. Russians had some new equipment, but their armory contained mixed weapons - alongside with modern ships there were also the outdated ones. Some units used new guns, some - old, with different specification. It caused a lot of problems - not only with troops training, but also with tactic planning because every unit was in fact different.

USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?

Indeed, but still I don't think WG will ever introduce a craft with such deadly firepower on Tier 7. -

Keep 2.0 sigma on Tier 7 with 3x3 406 mm guns? It would be a weapon of mass destruction no matter of plating thickness. I would definitely buy it -

It has, but the entire citadel is protected by the armor belt which is over 100. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
Well, for example Colorado and Nagato have 2.0 North Carolina, one tier higher has 2.0 I think 1.8 would be just fine. Washington, even with 27 mm plating would't be better armored than Sinop which armor is insane. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
So what? Premium ship has to offer unique playstyle or it is not necessary in the game. Anyway, look at the Sinop - it will be effective as hell in tanking. The second part of your post will be left ignored, you can quarrel like this with your friends at kindergarten. >say 27 mm several times >HURR DURR YOU WANT 32 MM GO TO T8 omg Still, the proposed Washington will be of course inferior to even stock North Carolina, with for example much worse sigma value. 25 mm plating is a nonsense - would you buy an another T7 battleship overmatched at any angle by T8 and T9 rivals? I don't think so. I agree with you that 32 may be too tough. 27 would be unique and it is to be considered. -
Dreadnought would be OP as hell at tier 2. But I agree that mikasa needs some BB friends at her tier, so I am looking for more pre-dreadnoughts to be introduced.

HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
25 is overmatched by anything above T7, making the playstyle against T8s and T9s boring - tanking is impossible. 32 could be OP, I fully agree, it need to be tested. 27 is a reasonable option, giving it a possibility to play more offensively even while at the bottom tier - and at the same time making the ship vulnerable for 406 mm guns barrage, which forces a wise playstyle. Remember that 406s are now present even at tier 6 and very common at T7. -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

Meh. There will be always (bigger or smaller) differences in players skill and performance. The first thing to solve is bottom-tier plague. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
So let's consider 27 mm plating - 406 mm bullets will overmatch, but 381 will not. It will be a quite unique feature at Tier 7. -
USS Washington (BB-56) - a good idea for Tier 7 premium BB?
HussarKaz replied to HussarKaz's topic in General Discussion
It should be at least 27 mm for many reasons, the most important is incoming Sinop with its absurdly powerful armor. The 27/32 mm plating would also make it quite unique Tier 7 BB, perfect for tanking - of course this feature will have to be balanced with some cons, like for example poor torpedo protection, turning radius, 1.8 sigma and average gun range (the last one may be done with quite simple way - WG can give USS Washington a radar consumable instead of a recon aircraft) -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
HussarKaz replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
WG should solve the problem of MM system by adding more same-tier battles if a specific tier is overcrowded in the moment, especially in Tier 10 and 8.
