i want to enable replays but my wows is difficult
Egoleter replied to Vilodrom's topic in Newcomers' Section
Jingles is using some third party tools for sure. You could ask him during a livestream. Maybe he'll provide you with the names of the products he is using to create his streams and his video editing. -

Third party tools mean, that those tools are created by someone not involved with the game or the operating system of your computer. If I program a calculator for your PC, then this is a third party tool. If someone else creates a recroding software then that is also a third party tool. You could probably google for stream recording software. -

Egoleter replied to Vilodrom's topic in Newcomers' Section
That's what I meant. The replay as such only works with World of Warships. If you want to upload it as a video you'll need some third party recording software that will save whatever is on your screen into a video format. You could upload it to https://replayswows.com/ but I have no idea how that website works. You'll need to ask there for further help. -

No. If it is gone, it's gone. Unless you have a backup of your games folder somewhere. When you have the proper streaming equipment it should work the exact same as streaming the live game. Not sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about dynamic versus static crosshairs or about the advanced information option (either temporary by pressing the ALT key or permanently set in the game settings)? Personally I prefer the static crosshair. I'm used to it and know how to use it. Others prefer the dynamic one because they can play better with it or like it better for their looks. In the end both work fine once you got used to them and learned to use them properly. -
You know about all the victory conditions? You kill everyone. The enemy base get completly capped. You achieve 1000 points. Enemy falls to zero points.

Egoleter replied to Vilodrom's topic in Newcomers' Section
That's not a folder. It is telling you right there in the screenshot that it is a shortcut. A link to the executable that launches the game. Do a click with the right mouse key on that shortcut. In the context menu that opens, select "properties". In those properties you will see a folder address that will take you to your games directory if you copy and paste it into the file explorer. To open the file explorer press the windows key + E. Replays as such are enabled by default for several patches now. The game will safe the last 30 replays within your games installation directory (see above on how to get there). To launch them you have to make a click with the right mouse key on one such a replay and from the context menu select "open with ...". Then chose "other" and in the file explorer windows that opens browse to your WoWs installation directory once more and select the WorldofWarships.exe. If that doesn't work, search for the subfolder bin64 and use the WorldofWarships64.exe you find there. If you need further help please ask. -
French Destroyers Event: the Full Guide
Egoleter replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Don't get me wrong. The french event looks nowhere near as bad as the Benham one did. I'll still sit this one out. After one event worse then its predecessor after the other, for months and months and months, despite us telling you a long time ago that we need a break, it simply looked like you listen and then do the exact opposite of what we asked for. No one asked for that Benham event, yet you made it the worst it could possibly be even after you knew that some parts of your community need a break. I simply have no energy left and WoWs lost all the fun it once meant to me. And I see myself reflected in the posts of many other forum users when they talk about your events. Total time spend on getting a reward should be a factor. Not forcing players to dance to your tune. If a game feels like a chore, and it did feel exactly like that for at last half a year now, it drains your existing playerbase. If you plan for a player to spend 100 hours playing to get a reward, then let him decide when and how to spend those one hundred hours. If they are spend at the beginning, at the end, or spread out shouldn't matter. The time spend is still the same. The effort for the reward is still made. But the player gets to enjoy all of it. Your regular use of the directives mechanism prevents that. Yes, you might be able to catch up if you join late. But it's absolutly impossible to get a head start and make a break later. It's a freedom that's taken away regardless in which direction you limit it. A returning player is a returning player, regardless if s/he is playing daily for two hours, or one week for sixty. The time spend is the same. It is also the same if it is spend early in the month or later. You lose nothing if you give the players this freedom back. Keep the grind but stop placing those stupid time gates on events. No reward is worth the cost of losing the joy a game should be played for in the first place. And players excluded from events because of those time gates experience it now with every single new event. The aspect I'm unsatisfied about is the same with all recent events. They are to much with no breaks allowed. They are to restricted in regards to time management allowed by the player. I'd really like to see again a straight event like we had them in the past. Where everyhting was clear the moment you read the mission descriptions. No half a dozen things to do here and there. Just a couple of missions (or mission chains) and you are done. Comparing then and now, even the stupid EU server ARP Nachi mission I never managed to complete looks like simple relaxing task that I would trade in at any time, if it just meant that directives and convoluted pay and play mixture of events are removed or at least limited to once or twice a year. I will not play for the next week. At least. I need to gather some energy and I will then decide if the game is still what I enjoyed back when I joined. I will most likely not bother with the french event at all, even if I play. I can't. I'm broken. I can no longer keep up with your events that just get more complicated and confusing every time, in an attempt to get players to purchase your lootboxes or other silly stuff. Your event planners managed to break my will to play. You know that I am dedicated to the game. It should tell you a lot if I tell you that I can't play anymore. -
French Destroyers Event: the Full Guide
Egoleter replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
@Crysantos Let me explain what you seem to miss. All the recent events required the players to play at a pace that you dictated. Daily attendence. Intermediate goals you have to complete before a certain date. Miss only one and all your effort is wasted. Players have no chance to catch up if they enter late, or if they are prevented to participate for real life reasons. Ever since the introduction of directives and the re-introduction of daily missions it has been a constant struggle to keep up. Everyone in my clan has given up on completing those events. Most didn't even bother to try to get the Benham. I'm the only one in my clan that I know of who managed to get her. And for the past two weeks I have done not much more then what is necessary to complete the tasks. It wasn't fun at all. Your players are exhausted. They want to have a chance to play by their timetable not yours. Nothing will prevent you from making grinding events but please allow the players to do them on their terms. If someone misses a few days because they have family and holidays then it is a shame that you essentially exclude them from participating in your events. No one wants to feel excluded right from the start and you managed to create an excellent example of a chain of events that did exactly that. There was absolutly no middle ground to be found. Campaings allow the user to do everything at their pace. Missions that are not time gated daily or weekly but for the time of the whole event would allow players to be more relaxed in thought and action.- 160 replies

Nein.

Egoleter replied to Hidejoschi's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Also nicht jammern. Das System ist verzeihend genug. -
Are you grinding (or will grind) USS Tier IX DD "Benham" for 800 "Fuel Tokens"?

Tomorrow. And then a good long break from the game.* *Not the forums though. You will not get rid of me that easily. -
Suggestion: Camo bonus French DD line
Egoleter replied to LemonadeWarriorITA's topic in General Discussion
On thursday during the livestream the question was asked if there could be other combat bonuses applied to camos instead of the usual economic ones. The answer was that they do not want to do that, as it could cause severe balance issues.* * -
What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Egoleter replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
It's a nice game when you score higher then everyone else on both teams. To bad it was a loss. -

The new daily missions will go online at 7:00 CEST. Had a few days in the past weeks where I completed the old sets in those early morning hours and continued with the new ones after the reset. -

Two more days of completing the daily missions (yes, I already missed two missions, so I have to go to the full length). After sunday I'll take at least a week off. -
Probably because you didn't bother to look. Hidden stats equaling bad stats is just a commonly used tinfoil hat theory that holds true for everyone believing in it as it can't be proven otherwise (due to lack of access to the hidden stats).

*sarcasm on* Savage battles e-sports ready confirmed
Egoleter replied to Kirowetz's topic in General Discussion
It's default game behavior. Each team has its seperate lettering for divisions. You should already have seen it a couple of thousend times in the 8500 battles you played, when team red and team green both divisions. Yes, in almost all cases. Only exception in savage battles would be if a team of two joined the match, naturally turning it into division A, and the single remaining player deciding during the match to form a new division. That single player would then be the division B for that team. -
Are the daily Summer Sale ships discounted only in "Premium Shop" (real money) or are they discounted for Doubloons in game (TechTree) as well?
Egoleter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I'll just tag @Crysantos and @MrConway for them to read that quote, so they know we noticed. And that we are still unsatisfied with the differences between the Steam offers and what we get on WGs own summer sale. Still waiting for a proper reply that addresses this discrimination. -
Summer sale has begun - but this time it has offer I have never seen before!
Egoleter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Of todays lottery box there is only one ship I do not alreay have. The Marblehead Lima. So a copy of a ship I actually do have. So if I would buy that package for 26,99 € I would get: A copy/paste ship 2556 doubloons An unkown ammount of compensation doubloons between 2700 and 5150 (only three ships have a listed doubloon price in the wiki, the rest are promo) Yeah, sounds like a great deal for that kinda money. Except that it does not. I could end up with ~5200 doubloons and a copy for that money. That's a reeeeaaaaly bad deal. -

Egoleter replied to Kirowetz's topic in General Discussion
Did you even read the description for the gamemode? Here let me spell it out for you once more: 4 teams á 3 players each What you see are two divisions in their seperate teams. Just like you can have a division A on both teams in random battles, you can have it here in all four teams. Which translates to four possible divisions that are named A. That's really not complicated or hard to understand. So I am sorry to say that your sarcasm backfires quite clearly. -
Mal schauen was die kommenden Tage so bringen. Hoffnung habe ich ja nicht wirklich.

Interestingly the CVs have the shortest way to travel to get into the objective zone. As they have no opposition to fear until they reached their destination, I can see them making a run for the cap while any DD that makes it up there with them protects them from enemy DDs. And the CV player who doesn't activly hunt those DDs will have a high chance to throw the match for the team. If he chases the DDs and the other CV decides to attack the blob that hangs back, there'll be lots of salt in chat on both sides.

Not interested in a lottery. Not nearly as good as the Steam summer sale. Not even close. -
