What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Egoleter replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
First (any maybe last) battle in Jaguar Yes, that Helena wasn't really my kill. I admit. But nobody else was shooting her at that time, I was in range, and I was young and needed the money Kraken ... -
Please tell me that you do not intent to make even the WoWs birthday a grind.

283.000 Schaden, nicht mal in der Nähe von 2.750 Basis Exp - was zum Geier
Egoleter replied to Kassiba's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
What ship tree would you love to do all over again?
Egoleter replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
None, I worked hard on getting my lines up to where they are. I'll not throw all that into the garbage bin repeatedly for a single premium ship. -
Research Bureau: New Rewards for Leveling Up
Egoleter replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yes, seen it. Still not worth it. Those boni don't even come close to make several necessary regrinds attractive. It took me 3.5 years to get my small collection of T-X ships. I'm not throwing that time away no matter how good a premium ship you offer as a reward. Cut the crap. You know as well as we do, that those ships will mostly be payed for. Yes, that's also some dedication but it has nothing to do with playing the game or repopulating the lower tiers, like you claim to have as a goal in the article. I fortold that WG will bring the NTC, or now named research bureau, no matter what we as a community say or do, the first time our collective outcry was misinterpreted by your replies and actions soon after its reveal. I have been right all along. Somehow I wish I wasn't. I kept the ships I wanted to keep because I enjoyed playing them. Including a lot of low tier ones. Where is my reward for being faithfull to my trusted ships? Instead of rewarding it you want me to trash them and earn them again. Alternative suggestions for a better system have been made. You ignored them or considered them worse in your wisdom. You know, systems that would have actually forced us to play those lower tier ships again, without the option of fast tracking it with money. Those suggestions would have improved the low tier population just as well if not better. But yours was probably already in active development and close to completion when you presented it to us. There was no turning back for you. -
This. The idea has been suggested before plenty of times. We will not get any crew during battles. Even the animated crew in the harbor that WG presented a few years back seems to be a dead concept by now.

Research Bureau: New Rewards for Leveling Up
Egoleter replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
No one is going to re-grind their ships like this. At best some people will invest a lot of money for freeXP advancement and then play the ships in question for a single victorious battle. No one asked for that system. No one wants it, except Wargaming. That's a lie and you know it. All the feedback you recieved told you that this will not happen. If you wanted us to play on all tiers you would create events for all tiers instead. Much less effort for a far better effect. The real goal is to make money of those who want those premium ship rewards. Not to mention that you just integrated another currency into the game that serves no real purpose. We now have: Silver credits Doubloons Coal Steel Ranked tokens Clan tokens Event currency with every patch Research points XP FreeXP Elite Commander XP Where will this madness end? @MrConway @Crysantos- 359 replies

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

My last match today ... Being the low tier ship in the game doesn't have to be bad. -
Only active during the stream (21:00 CET) HONHONHONHON Five stage mission from 1600 to 2000 base XP. Each stage gives 200k credits. Final stage additionally gives four french containers.

poll Ship Drops from standard French Destroyer Containers
Egoleter replied to Cambera_1's topic in General Discussion
Opened the last 11 free containers I'm going to get. There might be four more from todays twitch! mission but I'm not counting on it. Result was the T-V and T-VI missions. Of course not a ship that would allow me to gain the other four "free" containers of the third directives stage. But still about time that finally a mission dropped. My condolences to anyone who still didn't get a ship mission. -
Will WG follow MS & Sony demand on Premium loot boxes transparency?
Egoleter replied to GunnyL's topic in General Discussion
Early? Nope. They will implement it for the console version the moment it becomes a necessity. There is big chance that they will try to use a loophole in the agreement to not implement it: The game is already published on the consoles and updates would not introduce lootboxes or similar mechanisms to the game as they are already in there. It remains to be seen if that argument holds any water or if new type of lootboxes are already enough to trigger the clause. The PC version will not get that info. As the two versions do not run the same events, it will have no effect for any non-console player. They will insist on keeping those numbers a secret. -
Yeah ... No! Who came up with that stupid idea? Let me repeat ... Simpler events are what your players request that translates to: Less hurdles. Less special tokens/currencies. Fewer sources to earn special tokens (preferably none). Stopp adding complications. Complications are not fun. Whoever is responsible for designing these events needs to be put to work at something where they can cause less frustration to the players. Not to mention that essentially repeating the same event for a year now, with some slight variations in rewards or background story, is also extremly boring.

Well... we wouldn't have threads like this one. Trying to solve a problem that, as far as I am concerned, only exists in your heads but not in the game.

While I enjoyed the halloween event, I very much doubt that subs would be a good addition to random battles or other "player vs player" modes. Almost any sub in question would need considerable boosts to their historic speed values. Most where slow as snails once submerged. Unlike the ones we had in the special gamemode. Subs need counterplay. Which shipclass is supposed to perform it? Destroyers who already have to deal with the most stress during a battle? It is their historic role to perform submarine protection but in this game historic roles don't mean much and DD players already have their hands full. @Tanatoy @WG_Lumberjack I seriously hope you do not start selling any type of sub premiums, or start any sub centered server event, until absolutly all testing is done. Including the several months long (two? three? more?) special mode. Any such thing would defeat your statement that you learned from the CV rework. Edit: Last pragraph made no sense. Used DD instead of sub. Corrected.

I think, if we just got rid of stats, we wouldn't be able to see how good or bad a player is, we would just have to deal with it on a match by match basis. You wouldn't know if someone is truly bad or just having a bad match or day. The game is made for everyone. Wargaming did not create it to exclude or limit players, or to celebrate others. Even if it sometimes seems to look like that to you. It is not half as competetive as some like to believe. The only real competetive game mode is clan battles. As far as Wargaming is concerned they'd like to make the game accessibale to every last person on the planet, as it is their source of income. Any argument that wants to forbid low performers from advancing or to deny them any kind of reward is mood, as it goes straight against Wargamings business modell. So you'll have to look for other solutions. Repeating the same crap over and over agin will change the fact, that placing such limitations on bad players would work against us all. Less accessability = less players. Less players = less money for Wargaming and longer wait times for the rest of us. Less money for Wargaming will sooner or later result in the game getting closed. For me a good player is anyone who enjoys the game. If he only wins 40 % of his battles, or even less, doesn't matter at all. And yes, it is absolulty possible to enjoy the game without winning. Being unable to see that is a limitation on your own mind.

cruiser detecting destroyer without mod
Egoleter replied to Lifer2000k's topic in General Discussion
Unless you deliberatly disabled it, it is always recording a replay. The last 30 are stored in your games installation folder. -

Ramming function should take the HP into account
Egoleter replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
Apparently not. You are both dead. it doesn't matter how. You allowed him to ram. That is on you. A 40.000 ton ship, even with all those holes in it, is still a 40.000 ton ship. -
Ramming function should take the HP into account
Egoleter replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
Seems to me like you made a mistake that allowed the enemy to ram you. I fail to see an issue with the damage that is applied. No, remaining hitpoints should not be considered at all. A BB ramming you is still one very massive bullet. -
Now show those other result screens so we can see where you made that damage ... Kills mean almost nothing.

poll Ship Drops from standard French Destroyer Containers
Egoleter replied to Cambera_1's topic in General Discussion
Nothing so far but I didn't open the last four french containers yet (one for the third stage directives, three from last weeks twitch mission). I'll collect the containers from this weeks directives (three, as I will most likely not make the CV base XP treshold) and this weeks twitch mission (four if I remember correctly) and open them all at once. So 11 containers to go. Edit for a correction: 14 containers to go. Three for daily missions (hard). That's some very rare luck you have there. Should you really manage to get all four ships from the free containers, while many of us don't even get a single ship, you should have maybe played the lottery instead. Even three ships is much more then most will ever recieve.
