Mouse that COULD automatically double-click legal?
Egoleter replied to MarcoGn97's topic in General Discussion
It's one of those hidden undocumented features no one knows about and every program seems to have. I found out by accident. It isn't even really usefull most of the time. I still was surprised when it happened and my friends were able to replicate it. -
Mouse that COULD automatically double-click legal?
Egoleter replied to MarcoGn97's topic in General Discussion
If I understand it correctly, the software programs the mouse button. The mouse button now sends a double click signal (two clicks in quick succession) to the OS. The OS then provides that input to the game. As a driver and device level adjustement this looks mighty fine to me. If it were a thirdparty software automating things, like performing a doublick if you aim at the centerline of a ship ,that would be illegal (and very ineffective). There are two things that come to mind. 1. Fire a full salvo. 2. In the port screen: Double click a ship to get to the modules page for it. -
*sigh* It would be so easy to use the search function and realize that the reload difference between the dev blog announcement and the current ingame version has been adressed already. 27.5 seconds is fine. Further buffs are certainly not needed.

You can't become a beta tester anymore as the beta test phase of WoWs was over four years ago. That's why we have the current celebration. If you are talking about becoming a supertester, you'll normally have to wait until they announce that they are looking for new ones. As far as submarines go... there are several news on the website on how to become a tester for those.

Returning player's question: Referral links
Egoleter replied to Eyebot's topic in Newcomers' Section
Probably this. I'm not aware of any community member that would be able to answer them, as we have the same informations you do. The answers to those questions would be interesting though. -

You'll keep your progress and the module in you inventory. That's an error. The Dev blog info is correct. It will be adjusted soon.

Returning player's question: Referral links
Egoleter replied to Eyebot's topic in Newcomers' Section
If you are already activly playing with the referal you found on the blog then only support can help you. After all... if you are already playing you are already generating recruitment points for your recruiter and you already have the missions for the returning player rewards. It's probably the same answer even when you did not start playing yet. In that case it would just have been worth a try to see if you can simply switch by accepting another referal link before you play again. -
There were TWO carriers, both sending their planes after you and failing miserably losing lots of planes. They took most of the match to achieve that apparently. And they were not attacking only you, as they managed to sink three other ships as well. Oh... and this as well

It's legit. You gain those items automatically once you qualify for them. No action on your part necessary.

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]
Egoleter replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
Edit: Removed my post. I didn't post it here. It wasn't intendet to be here. It was fine where it was originally posted and did not need to be moved here. If there is no issue with a post: You don't moderate it. I will maybe recreate it once the other thread is open again. -
Audio is all over the place. The engine is louder then ever and I constantly hear my ship creaking and cracking as if a ship nearby is sinking. If a real ship makes these noises in silent seas, it's send back to the shipyard. Gun sounds are either to loud or to silent. If they are a few kilometers away I shouldn't hear them as if they were fired on my ship. My guns are barely noticable. Flak is almost completly silent now. I see it firing but I can't hear it. @Sehales @MrConway @Crysantos A detailed guide on which audio setting is responsible for which audio effects would be greatly appreciated. Include details about settings that we can change outside the client, if such exist.

Even though it is a nice port and I intend to keep it, let me repeat: Do not mess with user settings. Don't change the port against our will. Without a real need to change them, user settings should be taboo to you. The selected port IS a user setting.

How many "Premium" ships you have (not counting ARP and similar)?
Egoleter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Updated my post on the first page. Seems I can't count properly anymore. Added some details. -
Quite the opposite. The event is good, in regards to the rewards (not so much the uninspired copy&paste structure). Even though I miss the guaranteed rewards per thousend battles from the previous years. Those were replaced by the special gift containers.

49 45 if I counted correctly (did not). None of them bought with money. -
Experimenting with MM and lose streaks
Egoleter replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
This thread is funny. People actually believing that Wargaming is manipulating the matchmaker, as well as the match itself, to make some players win or lose? How are those players chosen? What if the team WG decided to win refuses to play? What does Wargaming gain from all this effort except maybe frustrated players leaving the game? The Wierd Al video linked above truly is fitting. Oh and... there is a pinned thread for MM discussions already -
Great to hear that. Also a wise decision. Don't rush things. But also remember to not stall yourself just because you don't think you are good enough. Now here starts the tricky part. You need to start to be aware of your teammates positions and potential speeds. In the lower tiers battle can be quite chaotic but it is still possible to play with torps without damaging teammates. First of all and the most important: Your torps, your responsibility. There is no such thing as a friendly torp. They are all out to harm you. Now how to better play with them: If friendly ships are between you and the enemy, the general direction, not the line of fire, then hold your torps. Be aware of the range of your torps. They do not have unlimited range and they can not always catch up to a ship that is heading in a direction away from you. If, despite all your attempts not to torp in the general direction of your team, a friendly ship is heading for your torps place your aiming reticle above that ship and press F9 ping the minimap where your torps are and write in chat "torps". That will not always help the teammmate in avoiding them and it will not free you of your responsibility for your eels but it might still reduce the number of accidents. Experience will help you for sure and if your goal is to no longer hit friendlies with your torps you'll master that skill for sure. Nice to see that you enjoy those lines and that you understand that all ships need to be vulnerable somehow, yet all have their strenghts too. There are some players who even after 10,000 battle or more did not come to understand that. I'm thrilled to hear more about your future experiences with the game. Side note: If you continue to be as active as you currently are, I'll send you a small recruitment container in one or two days. Edit (20 hours later): Container send As I recruited you, I should already be in your chat contacts. If you see me online and need help with anything, don't hesitate to contact me.

Any ribbon counts. Why would you even assume that you need special ribbons when no such thing is mentioned?
