  1. If there is a chance that an allied ship can move into your torps you have to be behind him in positioning. So second line or torping in your allies direction. Neither torps nor allies teleport (teletorps?) over the map.

    Takao mission - Q&A

I didn't say anything else. And I am waiting for this reply just as much as you are.

    Takao mission - Q&A

I'm just defending a ship I like to play. I'd be happy to show moomoo2 how hard to kill and hard hitting a Fubuki can be in a duell ship versus ship. Maybe later today (~20:00 CET) I could mod my game to activate the training room. Offer retracted. I'm done entertaining this troll and placed him on my ignore list. Most Fubukis I see do die easily to gunfire. If it were a superior gunboat we wouldn't see so many Tashkents and Bensons in those roles. Underestimating it or its guns will lead to a defeat though, if you find an experienced player using it.

    Takao mission - Q&A

I'm certainly not. I still know how to play that little ship after almost 400 battles with it and a 55 % win ratio.

    Takao mission - Q&A

I didn't say it is better. I am saying that Fubuki guns are underrated by those inexperienced in using them. And as they are rarely used, most players lack experience with them on the shooting and the recieving end. If you come across a Fubuki player who is used to using his guns, you are in for a world of hurt. The Tashkent is faster, more maneuverable, has a better healthpool and a faster firing rate. It also doesn't lose guns on its final hull. The Fubukis guns are more precise and hit a lot harder. If the Fubuki can sneak up on and engange you in a short range duell you are not necessarily at an advantage anymore.

    Takao mission - Q&A

It's not the number of shots that counts but the damage you deal with them. The guns of the Fubuki are more potent then those of the Tashkent. I usually have fired two salvos before a Tashkent starts to return fire. At that point I already have taken a quarter to a third of the Tashkents hitpoints out. With a little luck even more then that. If I then start to not show broadside and to wiggle around my tail while driving away a Taskent will hit me a few time with their high caliber peashooters but my two rear turrets will keep hurting her for a lot more. Most Tashkent players are impatient when shooting their guns. The trick is to know when to pull the trigger and when to initiate evasive maneuvers. Lots of DD players don't know how to do that. Even more are surprised how much a well placed Fubuki salvo can hurt. I already duelled plenty of full health Bensons, Taskents and hier tiers with my Fubuki and come out on top with barely a scratch on my paint. Don't forget that a lot of Fubuki players are using the C-Hull which costs them a valuable rear turret. I do not.

    is this a serious game?

What is a serious game supposed to be in the first place? A game is something you should do to enjoy and to have fun.

    Takao mission - Q&A

I don't know, but maybe they are just confident? Three out of my 5 RU kills are trashcans that I killed with my Fubukis guns. If a Fubuki captain knows how to aim those guns can hurt your little ship quite a lot. And most often a Fubuki will have the first shot.

Simple solution: Never use the Yokosuka port. No Yokosuka = No ARP

    REMOVE OCEAN...again!

AGAIN... (you seem to like this word in all caps) No! If you can't play it, it's your problem. I love the map (and with that single statement I have already proven your opening message false) but sadly I rarely get it.
  11. If it were three new slots I would agree completly. They occupied two free slots first. It is still one new reserve slot, so I'll not complain. For now I'll keep them, as I am afraid of what might happen if WG suddenly decides to remove them again.

    Arpeggio Compensation and More

You obviously missed the joke. *sigh* Ok, I'll explain it. The sentence I quoted (please look carefully, as it is the only thing I quoted), as written by MrConway, can be read in such a way, that you will only get those extra captains and the flag if you fullfill only one of the listed conditions. Example: If you earn Nachi and Takao you will not have this bonus reward. (See how I did not mention earning a ship twice?) I did not quote him on anything else. I didn't comment on the rest of his post about the other compensations if you already have a ship and earn it a second time. How you came to the conclusion that I did, when I omitted that part in the quote completly, is beyond me.

Why I have to pay repair bill?

Because everybody has to pay it for a while now. Patch notes are your friend: http://worldofwarships.eu/en/content/update-notes-main/release-notes-0512/

800000 free exp for the Missouri?!

It's tier 9 so I am not much interested in that ship. Still 800k sounds a bit excessive. If I just take a look at how much free XP I earned over my short WoWs career, it would take me another 5 years to get to this amount unless I spend money or have extreme luck with supercrates.

There is an official announcement in that regard. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/66108-arpeggio-compensation-and-more/

Misreading this in an evil way: Someone who fullfilled more then one condition will get nothing.

    ARP Event (excluding Takao)

Oh.. yes, that makes much more sense. Thank you for that piece of information.

    ARP Event (excluding Takao)

How are we supposed to win Nachi or Takao twice if they are on the server for the first and last time?
  19. The Mikasa is a fine ship. You just need to get used to her. As she is unusual in every way and not comparable to other ships in the game, you have to use her differently. First of all, you need to learn that her big guns are not her main weaponry. Those are mostly for show. If her main guns hit they'll hurt. A lot. The low speed is there to lure your opponents into a false sense of security. She is surprisingly maneuverable. Once you get used to her, evading torps becomes quite easy. The Mikasa does have the strongest set of secondary guns you will find on any ship in your range of opponents. With the changes to the matchmaker that makes you miss out enganging against tier I ships, you are most often the bottom tier of a match. In the rare case where that is not the case you simply slowly move into the enemy ranks and let your secondary guns do all the work for you. If you have a well trained captain you can easily engage two cruisers at once and be victorious, without ever using your main guns.
  20. Cpt_Cowper_Coles please start a new thread. I'm happy that you will now carry that torch. I am certain that you'll do a good job filling the hole that Worcester left us with.

    ARP ships

All ARP content is only displayed in the Yokosuka port, which is modelled after the futuristic port of the ARP anime / manga. If you do not have this port selected, not only will you not see your ARP ships and captains in your harbor, you will also not see any ARP ship skins during gameplay.

    ARP Captain Slots - Compensation

That has been mentioned in other threads. This is a bug within the reward system. If you earn an ARP ship the second time you are supposed to get silver, a port slot, and the captain with a reserve slot. If you didn't get any of that you'll get it as soon as the bug is fixed.

Suggestion fore a 16skill ARP Iona captain mission.

Personally I would enjoy such a christmas/new years mission. But 20k exp sound a little low for a 16 point captain. Make it a three stage mission. - 20k exp for teddy Kirishima / Youtarou (6 point) - 40k exp for Gunzou Chihaya (10 point) - 80k exp for Iona (15 point*) Yes, that would be some serious grind, but the reward would be worthy of it. *You can train her for more skillpoints yourself.
  24. Sad to see you go, Worcester. Even if you don't want to play anymore, maybe you want to come visit us here on the forums from time to time. I know the feeling of switching priorities away from a game. It happened to me as well once or twice in my life. Sort your life, enjoy your family, have fun with your friends. The day will come when you want to play a game again and if you find the right one, you'll once again be hooked for a while. It might take a few years, when the kids are older, but the time will come. Until then with all due respect: May we meet again. As for my farewell... with the recent changes to the ARP missions (past and present) the last word has not yet been spoken. From monday onward I'll be back on this server for the time being. I'll give the european Wargaming team one last chance. As such I am unfit to continue this society, but if anyone else wants to restart it, for now I would sign up again.
