    Way more often then I am being sunk by fire. I'd say about one oneshot cruiser every five battles. And why do you engange them if they are hiding? Stay away and hunt their spotter instead.

    With a few hundred battles in BBs I hope I can make the following statement with some authority. The least number of my deaths in a BB happened because of fire. Most of the time it is AP ammunition. Second worst reason is torps and flooding. Fire is last. If you are enganging three fire spamming cruisers (one of them a premium or a fourth cruiser or a DD in the mix as well) on your own, then that is your problem. If they manage enough teamwork to focus you, then they do nothing wrong. In such situation try to make a running retreat. Your big guns will keep them at a distance. If they are hiding in smoke they usually don't chase you. Try to get some of your teammates to focus those squishy cruisers. Once you disengaged take some time and use your repair party to restore your hitpoints. All fire damage can be repaired. After that find some teammates and get back into the battle. You can take a cruiser out of the fight with one volley. Best thing to do: Don't Panic (it's written on the cover of an extremly successfull extraterrestrial book - It's a good advice under almost all circumstances)

    Highest tier RU ship I have is IV. I'm sorry but I can't help until I reached that 20th kill (still missing nine) and have some time to tier up that line.
  4. Where is the problem supposed to be in this video? The Tashkent was clearly a good target (closest, clean line of sight) for several ships and they all fired upon that target. I fail to see how the titled kill stealing is happening there.

    Just to bring this topic back up as the behavior of the support staff seems to have changed. The last two replies I got in regards to ingame chat violations just pointed me towards the ingame reporting tool (with options not available in WoWs). Sad to see this change happen. If there is political, religous, racist, a combination of those, or similar talk, support should investigate and take action no matter if there is a reporting tool. MrConway any chance to update us on this policy?
  6. It will change in so far that it will check if the reported user used the chat function before the report. See the patch notes for the current test client. Other then that I will not make a judgement here. I have seen users gloat over their kills, insulting the player of the sunk ship. Not saying that the OP did that, but as I have seen it happening, and only having one side of the story, I do not dare to believe or disbelieve the claims made. That he responded with insults against insults would have earned him a report from me, just like the one with the initial insults would get one.

    You can do strafing runs over allied planes. Strafing doesn't know friend or foe.

    Don't underestimate how dangerous pushing is. I have seen a ship detonate because it got rammed by a friendly. No way I am going to risk my ship to push an aircraft carrier.

    I don't have the precise numbers. The winner is determined by a % chance roll depending on the number of planes alive in your squad. Each tick (no idea how long that is) such a roll is made. The result is applied and the next tick begins. The more planes you lose, the lower your chance to shoot down a plane. This means that usually the one who has the luck to shoot down a plane first is the one who will win the engagement. External factors like other fighter squads or anti air weaponry of nearby ships can influence this, as they apply their result seperatly.

    Uh... I can answer that. "When creating missions we are catering to the needs and wishes of the different servers." Well... at least that has been repeatedly the answer whenever this question came up. Until this last ARP event, when they finally told us that they want to force us into high tier gameplay. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/65611-takao-mission-qa/ None of the other servers seem to have that agenda. Why not simply let the players choose how they want to play? All pleas that we get a more unified solution, with similar treatment of all servers, have not been answered so far. They either don't want, or are unable, to make an effort for a more unified approach whenever something is not pre-programmed into the client (like halloween and birthday events). I don't believe that this is the Community Coordinators fault. It is a failure within the system of how Wargaming works and whoever is responsible for mission design on the european server.
  15. Please include the number of russion ship kills performed by tier VIII+ during the Nachi mission in comparison to the three other necessary nations. I am lucky that I am playing a DD. As such I'll regularly see Tashkents and get a chance to kill them before anyone else does. Otherwise I wouldn't be at 8 RU kills now. I'm confident that I'll complete the mission in time, but RU ships are hard to come by, no matter what your stats are telling you.

    Just a few moments ago... Two Brothers - Domination I'm the only tier V (Kongo) in a tier VII battle. We have three player on my flank who are several minutes late in the game. So it is up to me and a Bayern to defend that flank against two cruisers and three BBs. There is only one DD in the whole game, it is in our team. Our DD is trying to cap but is left alone by the rest of the team. My flank is breaking up and I am forced to retreat to the other side and the rest of the team. Which, despite numerical superiority, didn't move into the cap zone on their side. While retreating I notice that our three late arivals woke up und they are moving through the gap between the two brothers. Two of our cruisers and a BB die a useless death in there while I try to cath up to the other flank. I reach the other side of the map and move into the cap zone. As I am the only one in there I get focused by the enemy. I manage to kill two cruisers while I once again retreat. At that point I am at 75k damage done to the opponent and two kills. I have done more then anyone else on the team and survived two situation under heavy fire in a somewhat good condition. That is the moment where a message in team chat pops up. Teammate(?): report kongo for bot Me (thinking for a moment who he could mean, until I realize it is me): If you say that I am a bot, then I am now a bot Teammate(?): you play like a bot Me: Do you really believe a bot can deal 75k dmg? Teammate(?): yes After that short exchange I found myself once again under concentrated fire by several cruisers and BBs. I manage to deal another 15k of damage before my luck runs out and I succumb to volley after volley of incoming shells, which ends the match. I look at the result screen and see this:

    It's for all guns. AA works as a sphere. Unless you focus your fire on a specific target all enemy planes within the sphere are subject to being hit by your AA. All AA animations is for pure optical pleasure. Yes, but they rarely do. They follow the same rules as all other guns. Overpenetration can be better explained by other users on this forum. Essentially it means that your caliber, angle of impact and velocity of your shell was so high that it went straight through your opponentn dealing minimal damage.

    You got that right already. If you use your WASD keys regularly, even if there is no apparent need for it, you become harder to hit and almost immune to torps.

    Please tell me more wrong things. I don't know where you got your military history lessons from but they are not accurate. Torpedos were mostly spotted the moment they impacted on target. In WoWs we see them from kilometers away. A single torp hit would take almost any ship out of combat. It would ceetainly cripple them enough that they would consider retreating and to leave the battlefield to the opponent. Destroyers could take a beating much heavier then a single 15" shell. Yes, that shell packs a punch, but it would in most cases simply pass through the ship as it penetrates the weak armor. But if you want torpedo accuracy nerfed, you surely have nothing against nerfing gun accuracy to historical values as well, don't you? 20 % accuracy in a battleship? How do 2 % sound to you? This is an arcade game. It is not a simulator. Torpedos are easy to avoid once you get the hang of it.

    You are not saying you want them banned. You are saying you want them weakened. We are saying that it isn't necessary. At long range, as long as you do not sail in a straight line, torps will almost never hurt you. Don't start evading once you see them. Pretend they are coming in at you all the time. With that simple adjustment to your gameplay you become nearly immune to them. And new players shouldn't play in the top tiers. Once you get there you should know how the game works and be able to bring your A-game against any opponent and weaponry.

    <-- looks at his torp accuracy No! Torps are a distraction at the range where you just try to spam them. Up close you do not need to spam torps.
  25. Doesn't change a thing I said about your positioning. That DD is still slower then your torps, so he can't just run into them unless you put them way to close to his position.
