Even skilled players need a lucky game to achieve those goals. Whatever those mission designers are taking, I want something too. It seems to make even the impossible to appear as an easy task.

Not all mission parts are cruiser only. Parts III to V are for any ship. You are still correct that those goalposts are to high. To achieve them you need a lucky game and most ships will never be able to complete the last part with the current meta.

All previous bootcamp missions could be completed as a Tier IV player. Why the raise to Tier VI for everything except the very first part? The conditions for part IV and V are redundant. "Finish among the top X players in your team" is a given with the other necessary goals. Part V could also read: Any Cruiser or Battleship of Tier VI or higher. No DD or CV at those tiers will ever achieve a citadel hit. They are essentially excluded from completing this trial. Even some cruisers will have a hard time to achieve seven of them (not to mention that there are way to many Battleships for cruisers to ever have a real chance to achieve it even if they could do it otherwise). The reward for part V is very good. I'd say it is even better then the final reward. To bad it is essentially made for (lucky) Battleship players. All other awards are the usual stuff.

I will not complain about detonations in this thread. There are plenty of other threads and users doing so. Please don't use this thread to complain about the detonation mechanisms, instead search and use the others or create your own. I want to keep this light hearted. When I saw this result screen I had a good laugh and hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. A well earned "Lucky Shot" award for that player. What are your best "What the ... !?" moments in this game where you got screwed over yet still managed to laugh?

Yeah, great. 10 Damage per actual shell hit sound like a very good performer. 1 fire per 35 shell hits also looks promising.

I fail to see a noticable difference between this weekends special and those we see every other weekend anyway. A +100 % XP on first victory (we have that almost every weekend, exeptions when the bonus is higher) and some rebates on ingame content (usually a class or nation, this time premium ships and time). Even the rebate percentages are comparable to every other weekend.

You are of course right, though there are differences between the freedom of speech laws in various countries. Generally freedom of speech ends where you invade the privacy, well being, or rights of another citizen/human.

My general opinion is that most gamers have no idea what freedom of speech is actually about. In most countries freedom of speech exists, so you can critizise the government without fear. It does not apply anywhere else. Insulting other people, their views, or their believes, is not covered at all. And private forums (yes, those of gaming companies are still "private") can enforce any house rule they like. It has nothing to do with censorship. Please do yourself the favor and educate yourself properly about freedom of speech.

IMHO - That line just completly disqualified you. You refuse advice and instead blame the game and the active forum users.

No spotting planes on your BBs? Why didn't your CV use it's planes to spot the DD? Why not chase him down? If you change your speed and heading every now and then isntead of lazily sailing straight ahead his torps are mostly harmless. There are so many options for you to win this scenario. You just have make use of them. The DD only has its stealth to keep him alive.

You were never able to dismiss them. You will never be able to dismiss them. Wargaming is working on a solution for those players who don't want multiples of the same (but this seems to be on low priority). You can't dismiss them, because you can't hire them. You could end up with unusable ships if you were able to dismiss those captains. As we got reserve slots in compensation those captains do no longer take up any place that you would otherwise have available. You could train them in different ways. They give you room to experiment with some skills and captain builds. Even more so with the upcoming change to the skill system which provides a broader spectrum of skills.

You do not earn achievements or awards in PvE matches.
