Planes have not been nerfed. AA has become (a lot) stronger on many ships. You need to pick your targets more carefully now. And IJN CVs are not weak (see Pete's post). Dealing with air superiority settings on USN ships might be tough, if the USN player knows what he is doing, but that setup seriously lacks in striking potential. Use the AA cover of your friendlies or create traps for strafing runs to get rid of his fighters and you should be fine. Maybe you simply lost your touch. Train some more. When I didn't play CVs for a long time, I need to work on getting back up to my previous perfomance levels as well.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?
Egoleter replied to bigbramble's topic in General Discussion
Could we stay on topic please. Those DDs have their own threads. Thank you. -
We will get those captains and the flag attributed to our accounts once the current event is over.

Luckily we still have the "weekly missions", with easy to fulfil conditions, so we can spend time with our families

Accidentally completed stage three in my Yūgumo today. Would have counted for stage four as well, but I guess I'll have to repeat those 10 torp hits + 100k dmg with them. Now where do I find another set of BB captains willing to sail straight into my torpedos? So far I surprisingly like my Yūgumo. Only three battles, stock hull and torps, 123k average damage, all victories (I'm sure that streak will not hold). I did play her more like a tier II or III destroyer in those matches, get in close and give them hell, and I never expected to get those results. Those requirements are still a bad joke. -
Wargaming please stop doing this to me(us)...

Per captain of course. And each one is a lottery draw similar to the crates. If you are lucky you get the skill unlocked. If not you'll get some random signals. -
I wouldn't bet on it.

As long as my DD has smoke I'm willing to use it for others. It is more often rewarded and appreciated then not so far. If I am in a BB it depends on the situation if I want to make use of the smoke. While I am under heavy fire, I love DDs who are willing to help me out with a little fog. Any other situations it is, well..., situational. Sometimes it is more important for me to reposition or to keep some distance between me and an enemy. Even if I don't make use of the smoke, I'll still send thanks to the player who did it for me.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

That was a lot faster then I expected. Congratulation. Now that announcement hopefully fully addresses all our concerns, instead of focusing purely on the removed Santa Convoy campaign. Otherwise it would only be a first step. -

I see that all those freely given away 10-point captains (if you are lucky enough to draw them from a SC with a premium ship, or if you play on other servers) now become 8-point ones. That is quite a big impact for lower XP captains. That is good to know. -

No way. If we now shut up, they'll never do anything. They'll think that we are satisfied with a simple promise to do something, and then they'll stop caring. -

Fair post. Seriously. I like it. I am still missing two things. A sincere apology and a promise to never again discriminate the european server population in any way. But I guess those can wait until we actually get a proper response and compensation. You know that this isn't the first time such a thing happened. This is an ongoing mistreatment. It has to end. Edit: And make sure that this compensation set of missions, if we are getting something like this, will not be exclusive to high tier gamers. The whole server population equally deserves something. -

This is exactly the type of situation where I do not want to see that skill. The lone player would have no chance. We could just as well remove the lone warrior achievement with the implementation of this skill. That remains to be seen. On that one I can actuall agree. Radio Positioning still remains a questionable addition to that game and the upcoming test will show us if that skill is overpowered or not. -

EU Server treatment Complaints and Grumbles
Egoleter replied to Quazie's topic in General Discussion
I see in your post that you still have much to learn. Just one example: I already see people not wanting to play in T9 and T10 for various reasons, that will; ultimately spread down the tiers and people will depart looking for something else. That is an issue as old as the game. High tier games are very different from those in the lower or middle regions. It is a type of play many do not enjoy. There are plenty of suggestions to change this. There are as many reasons why it shouldn't be changed. In the end it boils down to what a player enjoys or not. There is no risk of this spreading to the lower tiers as they simply play differently which is the only real reason that keeps players in, or away, from tiers. I also took note of your example forum structure and came to realise that most of all, you simply do not want to see the complaints. Your choice of an example username made that very clear. Because of that this will be my last post in this thread.- 35 replies

The Yokosuka port was part of the Arpeggio cooperation. As this cooperation is coming to an end the port has been removed with the last patch. You can now enable and disable the Arpeggio content through the carousel ship view options. (Hint for the future: All this is mentioned in the patchnotes)

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?
Egoleter replied to bigbramble's topic in General Discussion
Sorry Ph3lan, but this makes absolutly no sense. All I see is some marketing talk with no respect towards the angered playerbase. “We considered this experimental double-campaign approach used in other regions and saw flaws in it. The double-campaign system does not cater to our audience in the usual manner we prepare offers. It was experimental and as we were not convinced it would work with benefit for the general audience, we decided to opt out of this part of the End of Year activities. Who decided that this does not cater to your audience and why? We never had something like this before in WoWs. So there was no evidence that we wouldn't like it. You where not conviced but you never gave us a chance to like it or not, and to get evidence for similar future events. Why didn't we get something else as compensation? We knew that the Graf Spee itself would be a really important element to our players. That is why keeping this part of the event was an obvious choice. We also knew that many players would want to get their hands on special vanity items. Problems started here. The structure of the campaign combined with its time limitation did not, in our opinion, provided anyone except top payers, the option to get the items without major time commitment. This is not something we wanted nor felt right to ask of our players in the holiday period, when a big part of our loyal player base does not want to struggle between the game and family needs. Yes, the GS is important to us. But so is the other exclusive premium content. Your loyal playerbase is currently running away. If you are not sure, you might want to ask us next time. But even more important is equal treatment in comparison to the rest of the world. We are not second class players. Seeing that some people would however like to get their hands on limited-edition content without the sacrifice of time spent with friends and family, we added all the camouflages for individual purchase, disconnected from bundles. This allowed anyone to cherry-pick the one or two items they are interested in fairly cheaply, without investing a huge amount of time for the campaigns or buying the Graf Spee which they may potentially not be interested in buying in the first place. Fairly cheap? You sold it for the normal prices. Five to 15 euro are not cheap. We also got no alternative to get any of the other rewards. We understand that this choice has raised concerned through the community and are deeply saddened that this overshadowed so many of the other activities hosted for your entertainment during the Christmas / End of Year period. So many others. Which you also decided to cut short. Why did the other servers get extra christmas missions for credits and captain XP but EU did not? You have no idea what your community wants. We are currently looking into various options regarding the Christmas Convoy campaign, but even if we decide to take action in the following days, neither of them will have an immediate effect. Any event planning on this scale requires a meticulous analysis of the current situation. We learn from community feedback, as well as our mistakes, and we hope to bring you great events in the future and that we’ll manage to make you enjoy the End of Year activities regardless of this issue. The future events will be the core of our concern and that is what we are most working towards right now. In other words: "We will decide to do nothing for the moment. We will not apologize and we will not compensate our players. As we don't have the time to look at the current mess we caused there will also not be anything happening in the future." Please make your players the core of your concerns. If you would learn from community feedback, you would know that we do not want to be treated worse then the rest of the world. We want equal treatment. We are telling you that each and every time you mess up. You ignore it each and every time. Stop the marketing [edited]and start to actually listen to us. Please come back with something that actually contains something. Apparently the compiled informations you send them did not make it clear just how upset we are. -
EU Server treatment Complaints and Grumbles
Egoleter replied to Quazie's topic in General Discussion
No... we just have our experience with WG-EU. You are only here for three months. I have witnessed how WG-EU reacts to criticism and complaints for almost a year. By now I know their patterns. As do a lot of other users. Unless they change, a seperate forum will not help the community to get a better gaming experience.- 35 replies

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?
Egoleter replied to bigbramble's topic in General Discussion
You should all stop following the distractions thrown at you. It isn't important if we are talking about a product or a service. It isn't important if a comparision is 100 % accurate. They usually aren't anyway. We are talking about wargaming EU and how they are treating their customers. How they are cutting down the client and content we are supposed to get. How they are putting content behind bigger hurdles for us then it is the case on other servers. How they are doing that for quite a while now. Don't let a distractor throw in some random terms and jump on it like a rabbit with rabies. -
It already appeared in my harbor.

This thread is not about politics. It is about a game and a company treating it's players like money cattle. Your comparisons have no place here. Leave your political comments out of it.
