What will you buy with your coins in the "Clash of the Elements" event "Gift Shop"?
Egoleter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Yes. Those were announced last week. My coins are just enough for four days of premium time and a single camo. Sadly I can't buy one of the other team. The collector within me is crying heavily. I have no interest in any of the other content, as I already have all the (not-so-special) mods that I need.- 80 replies

Of course that could also be the case. If the OP accidentally hit hat combination that the screen will have no HUD either.

You could try hitting alt+enter twice. Some users report that this would fix the problem. The problem itself is rather old.

Nice Necromancing there. There are enough threads about the Karma system active without the need to revive the long dead ones. That said... simply ignore that there is anything like Karma. It serves no actual function.

1) Contact support if you don't like it or create a mod to replace it on your client. 2) If you start to edit your post and click on the Use Full Editor button you can change your whole opening post (including polls and thread titles).

Which is a very sad thing, don't you agree? We should all strive to make humanity better instead of accepting it as the bunch of selfish, ignorant, greedy, rude, and violent creatures we are. Simply sitting down and telling yourself that you can't change anything will in fact never change anything.

What purpose does your "Making a bit of fun of a whiny post" fullfill? How does it contribute to the thread? How does it contribute to the forum? How does it contribute towards creating a welcoming community? I'll tell you... it helps not at all. And if you don't want to help, and if you don't have anything nice to say, then you should leave the thread alone because otherwise you are trolling, which is actually not welcome. Pure and simple.

No, he didn't explicitly ask for help. But there definatly was a cry for help in his post as he expressed an inability to deal with certain opposing ships. If there is someone unconcious on the grounds at the middle of the road, will you ignore that person too because they don't call for help? Would you maybe make jokes about that person not having a proper bed to lie in?

I do know that. But why not simply look beyond the way the OP is formulated and go for a proper reply anyway. It really isn't that hard to stay calm and polite. We are not on a schoolyard, with plenty of kids who need to shout each other down. Most of us are supposed, or at least make the claim, to be adults and should be able to act that way. Advertising to reply in a bad way because the OP was written in a bad way, will lead to nothing but more anger and frustration.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. Base XP has always been XP without any modifier whatsoever. No premium time, no signals, no camos. Nothing like that is added to base XP: The only exception to this I have ever seen in the game was during the GNB event, where some of the missions allowed premium time as a modifier.

I didn't analyze anything. I replied to to the content of the post which openly advertised to troll and bully as some form of proper reply. You don't want to tell me you are seriously defending such a thing? You realize that bullying can happen to people of all age categories and every social status? You realize that the search function isn't actually the most usefull thing on the forums? (Most forums actually) You realize that half the forum should recieve a warning for duplicat threads then, because absolutly nobody here seems to care about this? Attempts at stat shaming, ridiculing the OPs post, derailing the thread (yes, I'm now guilty of that as well), and otherwise hostile responses, those are things most of the participants here are guilty of. Make a proper argument on the topic or leave it alone. Shouldn't be to hard to do. I'll give you an example of a proper reply. Your counter to HE spam are your large caliber guns that can easily citadel the spamming cruiser. If you are afraid of the fire damae, then you should remember that it can be completyl repaired. If a cruiser or other ship is spamming your battleship with HE fire, don't extinguish the first fire they cause. Let it burn. A single fire is nothing but a distraction for a battleship. Trim your guns on the spamming ship and make him aware that you can delete him faster then he can do the same to you. Let him hit you a hundred times. You need only one or two salvoes. If you have problems with HE spamming ships hiding in smoke or behind islands, then there are some very good videos on youtube that can help you in fighting against those. Whatever you do: Don't become scared and run away. You are on the stronger ship.

Does buying premium increase chances of winning?
Egoleter replied to Bongels's topic in General Discussion
Most of my days are good ones in the game. Most of the time I don't have premium time running. The rare days I do, I got it through a promo or as a reward. I never notice a difference in my performance. Some days simply do have a lucky or unlucky streak. -
How not become a bully: If you don't have something nice to say, keep your mouth shut. There are plenty of proper ways to respond to the OPs statement. Trolling or being a bully are not among them. There is one simple rule everyone should follow. Be nice. It is really surprising how many forum users would fail this really simple rule almost daily.

Your base XP is the one that is displayed in the team score tab or as the basic XP without premium time. You only reached 1690 base XP in that mission.

Just a reminder. Your promise for later this week and Monday are now a month old. While Sub_Octavian jumped in to answer a lot of questions, and we all are very grateful that he did that, you still owe me a proper response for mine. Do you remember the stuff I wrote about respect and you not showing it?
-
Yeah... doing that. Like so many things lately.

No... you'll need to purchase the gift on US server. There is no connection between them.

I consider it an acceptable game if the enemy needed to deal at least 1.25 times the hitpoints of my BB to sink me, while I dealt at least my own hitpoints of damage to the enemy and sunk at least one of them. I consider it as a game good game if I deal at least twice my hitpoints in damage, still being afloat at the end and having sunk more then one enemy. I'm dissapointed if I don't manage to make it a good game. Anything below what I consider an acceptable is a bad game. I don't blame players for performing bad (well... not publicly). Those bad players are giving me the opportunity to be good. Because if they performed in their paygrade I would not be able to outperform them. Says who? You expect them but you are not entitled to them and no one, for no reason whatsoever, should have to show their stats just to satisfy the needs of others. If those others can't deal with the fact that the other party doesn't want to reveal their stats, then that is not the problem of those who make use of that functionality. Dismiss their opinion on facts not on stats. Simple as that. That is your right to do. Just don't act as if they would owe you anything and you can dismiss them just because of that.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Egoleter replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
At least the chat was fun for us. -
MrFingers, if you want to use the picture I posted above on reddit, then please credit me for it or provide a link to where you found it. Posting it like it is your own is not how you should do it.

I'm not ashamed of my stats. They are quite good and constantly getting better. Doesn't change the fact that they are my stats and others don't need to be concerned about them. They should be concerned about their stats instead. I can use my stats to better myself without making them public. If I need advice or help I'll ask for it directly and I will look for tutorials and guides for my specific issue. If someone can't take another players opinion into consideration without looking at that persons stats first, then that is not my problem but his or hers. You don't have to be a top player to have a valid point about gameplay. Just like you can be a good player and post absolute garbage about some things. Most people consider Flamu a good player and take his word for granted. He is a good player but he can be wrong anyway. Often enough what works for him doesn't work for me or vice versa. Take that for example: Staying with my Amagi at 15+ km? Why would I want to nerf me like that? That ship is currently my main tier VIII ship and I hate long range sniping. I have a 63 % winrate with the ship and >75k average damage (for those who need such stats). I'm closing in for a brawl at every opportunity I get and almost always come out on top of it. Playing like that might work for kfa. I don't need to look at his stats to accept that because the Amagi is not the worst sniper either. It just isn't my style. Sometimes I am forced to play like that too because my team is not aggressive enough, or because I had to run from the frontline after taking a beating there, so I know that it could work for him just like my playstyle works for me.
-
Indeed I do. My stats are of no concern to anyone but me. You have to decide if you trust my word about my performance or not. I might not be the best BB player on the server but I am most certainly not a bad one either. I have quite few ships in the BB lines with 60 to 65 % winrate and high above server average damage output (but there is one with 31 % as well... yes, I'm looking at you Gneisenau ).

Yeah, I'm somewhat like that. I'm starting to describe my gamestyle like a dance. At first I am leading. The opposing dancers notice that I am to good at that and start bumping into me to push me back and to force me to make mistakes. So I'll become more passive and build up some distance to those other dancers. Then I notice that the dancers, who are supposed to support me and to isolate me from those rudes, decided to get back to the sidelines to watch me stumble and fall. So I'll decide to join them for a while. I'll repeat that two or three times and during the second or third cycle those supposedly supportive dancers start to complain about my behavior. But back to brawling in BBs... I love doing that. Most of the times, when I find an isolated enemy BB or two, I will push hard against them. Even if no one supports me, more often then not I'm able to win such situations, as most BBs are not used to close range combat at below 4 km distance or less. Their turrets are aligned in the wrong direction, their secondaries are not activated, their aim becomes miserable, and they turn their ships the wrong way..
-
Unless they are focused down by the enemy team because no other BB in your team decided to go brawl with you, your cruisers playing hide and seek behind some islands, and your DDs running around the map boarder for half the match to search the non-existent enemy CV.

Spot the difference: Edit: just checked... it seems like the other language versions on the website also talk about general XP. So is the ingame event wrong or all the announcements on the website?
